Absolute joke. These guys banged up our furniture, scuffed the walls, placed boxes upside that say THIS SIDE UP clear as day that had our DISHES in it, it's just a mess. Then, they took all our beds apart and got all pissy when we told them to put them back together. Seriously? They wrapped nothing so when it was transported things got broken and scratched. We're extremely pissed off. Do not ever use this service they will destroy your stuff and they just don't care at all. read more

The 3 guys we had called the "DREAM TEAM" consisted of Grayson, Bradley and David and I would highly recommend this company and Dream Team for your move. The guys arrived did a walk thru and immediately began to work and all of our furniture was wrapped securely and handled with care. I was concerned the truck might not be big enough but like Grayson said let's pack it tight and they got the job accomplished and I was pleased beyond words. Absolutely awful! Movers did not come into the house with masks on, but are concerned about getting COVID-19 because they backed out last minute even when the house has been cleared of COVID-19 by a doctor for weeks. If they are so concerned about getting sick, they should have been clear before accepting the job and wear a N95 respirator while working anyways. Website COVID statement has nothing mentioned about being relieved of COVID-19 for a month before they will come into a house. The website only mentions following CDC guidelines which say quarantining for two weeks after diagnosis... not a month. By the way, CDC guidelines also mention wearing a mask within 6 feet of others. Also, did not ask any COVID screening questions when accepting the job either. In my opinion, movers just wanted to make an excuse for not working and still getting paid by their employer. read more

They under quoted the estimate by 1.5 hours. I had taken apart all beds and moved them down stairs. Had every box in the garage. Had all drawers out of dressers and downstairs. Had all small tables and chairs downstairs. I brought amost 50 boxes out of the garage my self. Three very slow and clumsy movers scratched walls, dropped boxes, broke gas fire pit. Scratched and dropped very expensive desk. (If you couldn't move it without damaging it, I would have made other arrangements) Ruined door ways. Ridiculous. Took forever to get ahold of owner and said all he could do was offer me a "discount" and see if a painter could touch up the damage. The painter did try to repair walls, doors and jams but the paint did not blend or he couldn't fix the dents. I gave owner Almost 2 months to fix properly and discount and he has done neither. read more

It won't let me give ZERO stars but that's really all they are worth. I setup an appointment for them to come out and give me an estimate on an upcoming move. On the day of that appointment the owner showed up 45 mins late. After looking at everything we had to move and agreeing on a date he said he would get me an estimate so that we could lock in that date as he is getting booked around the time we needed. The next afternoon I contacted him and asked for the estimate so we could lock our date. I got an excuse about all the rain screwing up his schedule and he said he would have it to me first thing in the morning. It's now been 2 full days and I don't have squat. That's a hell of a way to run a business although I can only imagine the issues we would have had with them had we received an estimate and agreed for them to do the job. The only thing I've gotten from them has been excuses. Totally pathetic and I can't understand how they remain in business... read more

Moving is HARD work and it is never fun. So grateful to the crew at Smooth Move. Reid came out to the apartment to give us an estimate. On moving day, the crew (Antonio, Tony and James) was on time and very friendly. They treated our possessions like their own. We have several priceless antiques and everything made to either the house or storage without any issues. This is the worst moving company I've ever used.Their management--Reid and Brian Hovis--lies and their movers lie. I have in email from Reid that they would provide a fundamental service (disconnect/re-connect washer and dryer) that they failed to provide. They later claimed they never promised that service. But I have written proof. They also tried to overcharge me $250 by double billing me for both mileage ($3/mile for 210 miles) at the same time they charge for loading/unloading. Again I have proof--the invoice where they tallied 4.5 hours loading/unloading when it was only 2 hours. I had to insist they call their office to straighten it out. Absolutely the most unethical movers I've ever dealt with. read more
