Smooth as silk is a gem! I'm sure you can relate if you moved from a different state it is a pain searching for a new place let alone aesthetician's at that! When I first stumbled upon this place on the internet it was due to their location and deals. That's what brought me in and when I walked into Smooth as Silk I instantly felt a great vibe. It was clean, had cute decor and I really loved the fact they use hard wax. Their prices are very reasonable and they also have like flash sale deals so subscribe to their txt notifications! Onto my aesthetician Kristen! I've been going to wax places for years specifically for eyebrow and Brazilians for at least 7 years and let me tell you! She has been the best. The best of the best! Her technique and pride in what she does for me always has me coming back and leaving extremely happy when my services are done! I was so sad when I had to move out of state again but every time I'm in town I also make sure to schedule with her for my eyebrows and Brazilian because I haven't found anyone like her before. She's easy to talk to, makes you feel so comfortable, and I'm not shy with communicating with her on areas of my Brazilian I don't want missed. Regardless, she always goes the extra mile to get every hair! The way she has transformed my eyebrows I don't want anyone else touching them, but unfortunately I have to since I moved away. I discovered this salon on Groupon, which is the main reason I decided to try it out. It was only $25 for a full Brazilian AND underarm wax! I do appreciate the pricing options for new clients. However, this was not my greatest waxing experience. My esthetician was Gigi and she was such good company, we were laughing almost the whole time... but I've never had my hair grow back after a wax faster than it has since I'd gotten waxed here. My skin is very sensitive and I understand she didn't want to cause any irritation by reapplying wax more than once, but now I'm left with a bunch of hair (even after she had tried cleaning up with tweezers) only 2 weeks post-wax. I regret straying from my usual wax girl located at a different salon just because this place was less expensive. That said, I don't blame Gigi for the bad experience! I just wish a little more could've been done to remove all of my unwanted hair. Also, shout out to the receptionist. I can't remember her name but she was so patient and accommodating when I was having trouble loading the Groupon on my phone. Hopefully others have a better experience here! read more

By far, the most comfortable waxing hair removal location I've been to! The aestheticians here make sure you feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the whole service. The whole atmosphere is very warm and inviting as well. As far as the service itself, the aestheticians take their time with their clients. They didn't tried to rush through the waxing, which made the service moderately painless. They also made sure that I was happy with the results as they double check for perfection! I live across town, maybe a 40 minute drive, but I will definitely be a reoccurring client because of how amazing this place is! Loved this place! I went for the first time this week, cannot recommend enough. Kristen managed to squeeze me in half an hour earlier than I originally booked and did such a great job. I'd had an awful experience previously at another place and thought i'd give it one more go, and i'm glad i chose Smooth as Silk... I am SO happy with the results! This was my now third facial with Siera. She is great, very gentle yet particular and focused, she is also very professional which is starting to be a treat these days. I got waxed today by Tori! I had a brazillian done as a correction from a different shop last week. Tori made this painless, and quick- verses my last experience that left me in tears and very swollen. The wax was gentle and safe on my pregnant skin and did not make me super sensitive to heat!
