We made a deal, he will do me some tattoo and I will lend him my car trailer that he needed to deliver a car. A 3 to $500.00 favor he never pays back. Told me he would not make such a deal. Great quality tattoos and reasonable pricing. I strongly suggest calling to make an appointment to get a tattoo rather than just walking in. If there are any cautions to a design you want, he does not hesitate to tell you the risks about it (unlike other shops where they will tattoo anyrhing just to get your money). He is the only artist working there and does tattoos only (no piercings). If you're looking for a great tattoo place, this is NOT THE PLACE!!! The owner never shuts his mouth long enough for you to get a word in edgewise. He seems to think he knows everything there is to know about tattoos. I went there for a tattoo and six days later I have an infection! Very heavy handed, if you have tattoos, you will understand what I'm saying. The carpet looks like it has not been vacuumed in six months, he only opens his store after 5 PM so that the city cannot come and inspect his place of business. His hours that are posted on the door are not the hours that he is open.I plan on making a call to the mayor of Pasadena because we are close friends with him to see what he can do. He has no respect for the virus that is going around the entire nation, and does not wear a mask. But he will wear a mask if you ask him to. Not sure how much longer he will be in business because he thinks he knows everything when he knows nothing compared to infection control. Don't let the stars trick you, I wold give him zero if it was an option. This dude is completely rude to his customers. I had an appointment scheduled at 5 and the shop was closed. I stuck around for a while and he never showed up. Later that day I called him and this is how the conversation went.... I've gotten two tattoos with this guy and each time his friends are just hanging around the shop, distracting him from doing any actual work. He spends a majority of the appointment screwing around and chatting with them. Even when he finally gets to the tattoo, he constantly stops and starts and distracts himself, plays on his phone and doesn't change his gloves after. His work is great, but he's insanely annoying to deal with. I'd consider coming back for a third if he was actually focused and professional. read more

Paula N must be crazy. Jo has done about 7 tattoos for my son (Sublime album cover, Alice in Wonderland caterpillar, the Rock's bull tattoo, to name a few) and they are intricately detailed...spot on to what my son wanted. Paula, you had to approve the tattoo before he even put it on the stencil machine to print out the stencil he uses before anything permanent goes on you. Whatever is sketched and stenciled on is EXACTLY what it looks like when he's done. This guy, in my opinion, rivals the tattoo artists I see on TV with their own TV shows. He's THAT good. I have a small Mickey Mouse tattoo that he did for me and it is beautifully colored with smooth lines. Looks precisely like it should. And I also agree with other reviewers....very clean shop and the area where he does the tattoos is clean/sterile. The sterilization methods he uses with his machines and tools is the best in the business. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my tattoos. read more
