I went to lucky duck tattoo to get my nose repierced after my initial piercing came out 4 months into the healing process. I actually went to another shop to get my nose pierced the first time and did not have a good experience. After reading reviews about the shop and about the piercers, I decided to give this place a try. I originally wanted to see Kat, but she was out of time during the time I came into the shop and saw Abbey instead. I HIGHLY recommend Abbey. She was very sweet and answered absolutely all my questions I had about aftercare, placement, jewelry, etc. She was patient with me and helped me pick the best spot for my piercing and I love it!! She made me feel relaxed and comfortable during the whole process. I definitely recommend Abbey to get any piercing done. She is cleanly and the most down yo earth person I've ever met. (: read more

The owner of the shop is incredibly rude. Went in to get a tattoo with his worker and he denied us service because we brought printed pictures of our IDs after the tattoo artist had said that was acceptable. He denies us an a super rude tone. read more

Lucky Duck Tattoos And Piercing - This is how the eyebrow piercing came out. - Tattoo Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

I recently stopped in with a few buddies to get some piercings done. My friend got their septum done, and the other got an ear piercing done. The piercer, Catherine was absolutely the most welcoming piercer we all had experienced in quite awhile. She walked my buds through the piercing process, made sure they were comfortable, and did a stellar job. Definitely would recommend getting a piercing done by her. (5 stars for Cathrine) My friend and I came in for matching tattoos. We called before hand just to make sure that they had availability for us considering we were walk-ins. They told us the wait would be 45 minutes to 1 hour. That was definitely not the case. However, that is not the troublesome part. We were in no rush so the wait wasn't a problem. The problems began once the tattoo artist Rhett came up to my friend and I to discuss what we wanted. We were very clear with the design, size, placement, etc. He went back to his station and began working on the stencil. He showed us the stencil and we loved it. Now came time for the actual tattooing to begin. my friend was the one to go first for the tattoo. Maybe ten minutes into the tattoo I got up from my seat and went to check on the progress of my friends tattoo. I was immediately horrified. He had made a bunch of stray lines that had no correlation to our piece, had messed up the heart outline, and the flowers looked nothing like the stencil he showed us. My friend had already began pointing out spots that she was concerned with and he kept dismissing her saying "i'm not finished with the shit" He became visibly upset and just created a horrible atmosphere. Once he was "finished" the tattoo on my friend looked so far off from what had shown on the initial stencil. My friend stepped away from his station to go to the bathroom. While she was away he walked up to another artist and talked to her for a few minutes. After he comes up to me and says, "I know you don't like how it turned out and I know you don't like me, so someone else will do yours." I stood there shocked. He then gets his coat and walks out of the shop. I would also like to point out that apparently he does not do "dainty" or "little" tattoos and he should have been upfront about that BEFORE tattooing my friend. It felt like a fever dream. (1 star for Rhett) However, the situation starts to look up when the artist (Nahyla) who was going to do my tattoo walked up to my friend and I. She put her whole attention on me. She took her time discussing what I was wanting, how I wanted it, and what I didn't want. She took her time to draw up an example and had me approve it. I absolutely loved it. She created such an amazing atmosphere for us. She was incredibly polite and made us feel like we could relax and enjoy the process. She was aware of what happened with my friend and she offered to touch hers up so it would match what she had done. She was also so kind to let both of us know that we could come back in the future to get our tattoos touched up if need be. I would absolutely recommend getting a tattoo done by Nahyla! Definitely will go back to her for more tattoos. (5 stars for Nahyla) read more

Four months ago, I went with my mother to get our ears pierced pierced. We both got our tragus pierced and I got a double helix piercing. Cat was the one who pierced our ears and everything seemed to go well. About 2 months later, my moms tragus piercing had migrated and was holding on by the thinnest piece of skin-we went back and another girl there basically said cat pierced in the wrong spot to begin with. After, she helped to remove the piercing. I thought mine was fine, but today(4 months later) I decided to go to a different place and so many things ended up being wrong with my piercings from Cat. 1. My tragus piercing also migrated and was hanging on by skin. 2. My double helix piercings were pierced so close together, that the skin in the middle was beginning to tear. Also, she had difficulty removing the piercings because they were tightened so much, part of the threading broke. And, I I told her I want the same pink gems for my double helix, and when I got home, I noticed they were not the same pink. 3. The metal of the piercings was not titanium as we were told by cat. My piecer today checked the metal and said it was the cheapest you can get, awful metal. 4. The piercer today also said what also didn't help my tragus was the gauge size that was used. It was thick in an already small area. I do believe Cat is great due to all the great reviews which is the reason we went, and maybe it was just a bad day, but wasn't fair for us and unfortunately turned out to be a waste of money and time as now her and I had to remove our piercings from here. I'm truly sad about this because I feel like my experience was handled carelessly, especially since it was my first time getting my cartilage pierced. read more

I called today to get some work done. The woman on the phone was super nice and said just to come on in. I arrive and she (her name is Pixie) is the one that would actually be doing my work. I showed her the font I wanted and what it was to say (in Italian). Pixie put it together perfectly and just as I had pictured/imagined. The way she worked was super professional, at ease, polite and precise. I am very happy and will definitely make sure that I go to Pixie for my next tattoo (it will be much bigger with a ton of color...can't wait)!! Thank you!! read more

Lucky Duck Tattoos And Piercing - Means: Rest In peace forever with our Lord and the Blessed Mother - Tattoo Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

Got my septum done recently by Abby!! She was quick and almost painless!! THANK YOU ABBY!

Update: the girl who did it (nahyla- I hope I spelled that right) reached out to me and said she was an apprentice at the time and thought I was informed of that and offered to fix it and she did! She did a really good job and I'm really happy with how it looks now. She has definitely improved and her line work is so much better. She was so nice about the whole situation. I went here for a Friday the 13th tattoo, which was my 12th tattoo. First when the young dude was supposed to do me he asked which design I wanted and where I wanted it and I told him and pointed to right above my elbow on the back of my arm he threw his head back like a child throwing a tantrum (it was maybe 5:30 so it wasn't like it was midnight and he was tired) so I went and told the guy at the front that I needed someone else to do my tattoo and he understood and the next girl was SUPER nice but.... wow... I don't regret any of my tattoos but the line work on this tattoo is AWFUL. She didn't use any of the Vaseline type stuff they always use so it was so uncomfortable. There are lines you can tell she didn't have enough ink in the gun. They're all shaky, uneven, and just bad.... really hoping I can get someone to make it look better... not to mention both of these artists looked 18. If they were apprentices that would have been fine if someone had told me that before getting the tattoo. The dude at the front was really nice but I'm glad I only spent $20 on this tattoo since it was a flash deal. I'll stick to my normal place from now on. read more

good pricing, though my first impressions were skeptical, i'm satisfied. I got a nose piercing here for the low price of $20! Fist time I came I called couple hours before coming making sure they did piercings, when i did finally come hours later, they said the piercer left because of family emergencies.. which was disappointing but nobody's fault, i came back the next day around noon and got my piercing done by a nice girl with colored hair lol. Me & my friend went in to get her snake eyes piercing done & everyone was super friendly & helpful! Especially Kat, she took very good care of my friend & was making sure she was good after her piercing. I will definitely be back whenever I want another piercing! read more

From the moment I walked in, I was taken great care of. Kat made me feel absolutely comfortable with my entire process of getting my nipples pierced. I was extremely nervous and really didn't expect to go through with the process, but however she talked me through everything. I can definitely say I do NOT regret my decision. My piercings look amazing. It's definitely great work. I had no serious after effect. It was only a little throbbing and the little bleeding that she explained that would happen. I still can't believe I really did it Thanks so much! I would definitely recommend. read more

These guys were super friendly. I walked up and before I was able to walk in someone that was obviously on a smoke break stood up and welcomed me in. ON HIS BREAK. That's huge to me. Poor work being done by inexperienced and unprofessional artists. Super unprofessional and unclean.

This place was great! I came in to get a piercing on my ear and they made me feel very confident in my decision and said it wasn't going to hurt the only thing I would feel is pressure. She was super professional and cleaned everything in front of me and before I knew it it was over. They gave me the things to clean it and answered all my questions and gave me more information. Crooked septum piercing. Piercer told me to move it around till it was straight... girl.... I can't! One side was closer to the outside of my nostril than the other. Like a diagonal piercing. I am not making this review for the shop as a whole. Every single other employee I've come across has been extremely helpful, patient, and kind. This review is for the work my friend and I received tonight. Rhett was the artist. This man is either blind or drunk. I felt so uncomfortable. Our tattoos are terrible! What do you do when you see that you're getting bad art put into your body but the process has already started? Say stop? I did. Or even just say "hey that doesn't look right" We did! At one point he asked if there was anything else he needed to "fix" and I pointed out multiple things and he said "wow good eye, I can't see, I'm pretty sure I need glasses" !!!!!!!!!! WHAT?! I was so uncomfortable and enraged I couldn't even find the words to say until I got home. I am typically a very positive person but I can't find anything positive about his work. The pictures speak for themselves! Thank goodness for the amazing girls who work there, they were extremely helpful and positive! Nahyla offered to fix us up and I am 100% sure she will make them look amazing! read more

Back in May of 2021, I came here for a belly button piercing. Staff is incredibly nice and the place has a good atmosphere. My piercer Catt was thorough, informative and did an excellent job overall! I came back a few days ago to get another lobe and helix piercing done. Once again it was a great experience getting the piercings done with Catt. The staff here even comes in to my work frequently and we will chat occasionally, really nice people. My only complaint is that the two separate times I've been here I've had to wait forever. For my belly button I think I waited 1.5-2 hours when it's a 5 minute procedure. In all fairness it did seem a little crowded that night so whatever. But when I came back for my ear piercings there was only one person ahead of me in the lobby. They seemed sick of waiting too, and I had to wait about 1-1.5 hours for these piercings. :( What I didn't like is that they have you pay and tip at the beginning, and do not offer refunds. So even though I got sick of waiting I didn't want to waste $75 and walk out. People who came in shortly after me walked out after waiting for so long too and popped back in later worried to see I still hadn't gone. To my knowledge they also are walk-in and do not take appointments(?) since there is no website to do so. I want to come back soon to get some more piercings done but I'm too impatient to wait an hour or two for a quick little procedure especially when both times it seems a lot of staff was available and just sitting around... Not sure if Catt is the only piercer though so I could be wrong. read more

This review in no way represents the shop in it's entirety nor all artists currently working there or were employed there at the time of my service. It is my a depiction of my first experience at this establishment. My piece is 3"x3" only back, triangle with simple glyph in the middle. I anticipated an hour tops and was all I prepaid to have done. I also had plans for the evening afterwards. I made the appt on Sunday evening for Wed 5pm. At 4:10pm I texted the artist stating I may be 15 to 30 min late because of west beltway traffic. She suggested we move appt to 5:30. I arrived at 5:15, she was talking to another customer and said she would start to get her station ready for me. ??, I didn't understand why this wasn't done in anticipation of my late arrival, but moving on. There was apparent confusion about the orientation (to put it lightly) and then we proceeded to get size and placement in order. I have a sleeve on one arm and half sleeve one the other forearm, plus a few more pieces of work and never once have I had the displeasure of the first hour of waiting to get a tattoo. 6:45pm needles hit my arm.... constant interruptions and indirect conversation that she tried to engage in, as if what she was doing was not as important as what the others girls were talking about. I assume this was partly because before starting she decided to smoke a cigarette, I cannot stand the smell of a smoker and that breath of someone talking to me is unbearable. This particular piece was on my inner bicep and she was less than 18" from my face, needless to say I was not much for conversation, at this point I just wanted it done. 8:45pm I walk out, plans shot and a tattoo that had obvious mistakes and what I would say as a total lack of detail. Again this was a straight forward easy outline in black. I'm not saying anyone else has had a bad experience, I'm just stating what I went through. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. read more

We chose Lucky Duck on a whim, solely because of their amazing reviews - and we were NOT disappointed! My best friend and I went in because we each wanted a piercing - her nipples and me a helix. Catt was AMAZING! So personable and informative, it literally felt like we were just hanging out. Catt was so meticulous and wanted to ensure everything looked perfect. Not only did she want our piercings to look good but she also wanted to make sure we had all of the information needed to take care of them during the healing process. My mom was with us and we convinced her to get her ear pierced also. Catt explained everything that would happen and was so patient with my mom during the whole process, especially while she was trying to decide which jewelry to choose - and it was almost pain free which was mom's biggest concern. I would DEFINITELY recommend Catt and Lucky Duck! I'm also willing to drive in from the Galleria next time we want to get another piercing! read more

Came to Lucky Duck to see about getting a piercing changed out for my daughter that she had pierced during March while away at college. The initial piercing was impossible to remove on our own, so we stopped in to see about having it removed at the Lucky Duck. We brought a new piece of jewelry (which we bought off of Etsy) so that it could be inserted in the place of the removed earring. The young woman at the front desk was super nice. When we explained why we were there, she did not skip a beat. She invited us back to her office, which was very clean. She washed her hands, put on gloves, pulled tools that she removed from new packaging, sterilized them again, removed the piercing, sterilized the new earring we brought, placed it in my daughter's ear, asked my daughter if it felt comfortable, then told us it was no charge to change out jewelry. I asked her to at least allow me to leave her a tip that would at least pay for her lunch, and we left. Great, easy, clean, and friendly experience. Recommend trying this place. We will for our next tattoo or piercing. read more
