We tried StrEAT Kitchen in Elizabethtown, and after eating at Maillard Wood Fired Kitchen in the…read moresame food hall, I was wondering if the burgers could possibly keep the streak going. They did. I had a smash burger with bacon, and this thing was fantastic. If you've never had a true smash burger, the idea is pretty simple: the beef is smashed thin against a hot cooking surface, creating those crispy, browned edges while keeping plenty of flavor in the meat. StrEAT's regular smash burgers actually use two all-beef patties on a toasted Martin's potato roll. Add melted cheese and bacon, put all of that on a soft potato bun, and you've got the kind of burger where nobody at the table is doing much talking for the first few minutes. Then there were the fries with Parmesan cheese. These weren't an afterthought--the fries were fantastic too. Crispy, seasoned, covered with Parmesan, and dangerously easy to keep eating even after you've already decided you're full. StrEAT also offers tallow fries and tots among its side choices, along with some seriously loaded variations. Another cool thing about StrEAT Kitchen is that it's inside Social Food Hall at 110 S. Main Street in downtown Elizabethtown. That explains why the atmosphere felt so similar to Maillard and they're part of the same food-hall setting. So if one person wants a wood-fired pizza and somebody else wants a smash burger, you don't have to hold a family meeting to decide where everybody is eating. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, just like our experience at Maillard, and once again the service was awesome. That's a combination I appreciate: really good food without feeling rushed while you're eating it. Their menu goes quite a bit further than a basic hamburger, too. They have several different smash burgers, build-your-own options, hot dogs, loaded fries and rotating specials. So there's enough on the menu that this definitely won't have to be a one-and-done visit. Fantastic smash burger, excellent Parmesan fries, great service and a peaceful atmosphere. And I'll give you one piece of advice: don't tell yourself you're only going to eat a few of those Parmesan fries. That's a lie you're telling yourself before the basket even hits the table.

I got the stinking rose which has American cheese, garlic aioli, pickles, and I added grilled onions. The meat tasted fresh, it was seasoned really well, and all the toppings seemed high quality. I ended up also getting tater tots (not pictured). This place has a sauce bar with probably at least 10 different homemade sauces and dips which was awesome! I love a good fry sauce or burger sauce, and they did not disappoint on the dips/sauces. This is in a big food hall with other restaurants so it was a very lively and social environment. Perfect for a group. Plenty of seating, great AC, and everything was spotless. Employees were all very friendly too. I honestly wish I could give this place 6 stars. It was really just that good. Absolutely must stop if you're driving through E-town.

We ordered a large fry and 4 of us split that and still had some left. Cajun seasoning was a bit much on them though, I should have asked for it on the side. Drinks in the freestyle machine were "off" like they were running low or something. Ketchup pumps were empty. Overall it was good, but not worth their regular prices. Not likely to return, just too expensive for what it is.

They have been open for a month or less, we came to place a to go order for dinner, there was a line but it wasn't busy per say. I got just the Hamburger with the fixings, also a cheeseburger & a bacon cheeseburger along with 2 large fries & a chocolate milkshake. It took about ten minutes or less for our order to be ready, then a couple minutes for the milkshake. The staff were nice & dining room looked clean & well stocked. The food was good just like every other Five Guys. Now we don't have to drive far to get our fix.

Last time we went, we called to make sure they were open. They said yes, so we left and drove straight there, only to find out that they had "decided to close early because business was slow" in the 30 minutes between our phone call and us getting there. We decided to give it one last chance today. We checked the website, which said open until 9 pm. We called to verify and got put on hold for 10 minutes. We ended up deciding to just drive there. We get to the window at 6:03 and they inform us that they stopped serving food at 6:00!! First of all, you could make food 3 minutes ago, but you can't make food now? Second of all, you're telling me you stop serving dinner at dinner time? Ridiculous I like this place's food but it is simply not worth the hastle of driving all the way there only to find out that they are closed, even when it is within their business hours. It has become such a regular occurrence that my family will not be making the trip out there anymore. Sorry Lakers but you've lost some long time loyal customers because you simply can't be open when you're supposed to be.

It was so dang delicious that I can't wait for the next tournament to go back!! We had the crawfish dip, crab leg boil and shrimp boil. It was all so good but lemme tell you about these crab legs!!!! Insanely good! Better than the ones we get in Florida!! They were so well seasoned. The Royal Reds & fried shrimp were delicious. The sausage was perfectly cooked!! Those potatoes cut like butter. The crawfish dip was plentiful with crawfish tails!! Not a single complaint!! Prices are good. Bathrooms clean. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

I had the fried shrimp, and they clearly were NOT just frozen shrimp they'd bought somewhere and fried, these seemed homemade. . .definitely NOT typical mass-production shrimp. The food was pretty good. There's two things I would list as downsides, however. The first is that the wait for service was pretty long. It was quite a long wait from when I ordered until I got my food. That's a minor downside, given the quality. I got the picture they might not have a robust back-of-house staff. The second, and bigger downside is. . .I didn't go there expecting a seafood place! The well-worn sign out front still says "Deez Butts" BBQ, and I'd followed signs from the freeway exit thinking I was going to a barbecue joint. When I stepped inside, I pieced together as I was standing in line that the BBQ had closed and this was now a seafood place. It was good food, but I was expecting barbecue and was too hungry to bother hunting for another place to eat. I was left wondering if they couldn't afford to change the (well worn) sign out front. It just seemed a little odd that the sign out front is for a barbecue joint, but it's a seafood place inside.
