I moved to Houston after living in Center for almost 15 years.. since traveling back to visit my family I was driving all the way to Nacogdoches for a full smoke shop experience when necessary.. I went into Smoke Center yesterday and am highly impressed with the huge variety provided in this small town shop. I saw all of my smoke essentials I typically buy while I'm home in Houston. FINALLY. I am proud to say I have always supported local businesses in my community; but very disappointed to have my small town shopping experience spoiled by my recent unpleasant encounter at the Smoke Center on North Street. I like to think of myself as a guy who is a casual, but savvy consumer, so when I decided to start vaping I saved my money, considered my options, and went into the Smoke Center in Nacogdoches planning to spend $250.00-$300.00; I LEFT WITH ALL OF MY MONEY. Although the Smoke Center has an excellent selection, and is staffed by at least one friendly face; during the course of my visit a man claiming to be the owner interrupted the salesperson assisting me, culminating with this mysterious proprietor saying "you are wasting my time" and "asking too many questions . . . as if I have nothing else to do" and that I would need to leave if I was not immediately interested in buying his merchandise (my apparent - active - interest seemed to give no indication that I was interested in buying in the same; or so it seems). Having never been spoken to so rudely by - any - shopkeeper in - any town- I gladly complied; and will not be visiting this gentleman's place of business again. read more

If I could give this business a 0 star I would. This was me and my brother's first time going in to this store from out of town. Immediately upon entry before we even got inside fully the guy asked from across the store to see our id's. Asking for id's is fine, but wait until we get into the store. Once we were in the store we received some of the worst customer service I've ever received. When my brother asked him about a bong on the backwall he corrected him immediately 'water pipe'. My brother didnt hear him say it so he asked something else about a different bong and instead of being helpful at all he said 'if you use the b word one more time I'm gonna have to kick you out'. We were shocked by this as where we are from things like this are a lot more openly communicated, so I tried to just ask him in a friendly manner why this was so against their rules and a friend of his in the store replied 'he's just doing his job'. I just wanted a simple answer to my simple question, but instead he decided to be extremely rude about it..This was not a pleasant experience at all and I will be sure to never step foot in this store again when Im back in town. If it even lasts that long. We went to another smoke shop down the road and we had a great experience. All of our questions were answered with no hassle and because of this we were able to purchase our products we were searching for there and more. read more
