Maybe they are losing money but this place has gone downhill. I would not recommend this for even my child. Update: I contacted the establishment the night of my order and the young man I spoke with mentioned they were not short on chicken. This is the typical production? I find that hard to believe. The chicken is actually real chicken breast, so the order did take about 15 minutes. There is plenty of seating and the staff was nice. I ordered takeout this week with a coworker and it was a bit pricey. $22+ for a Caesar with shrimp. We asked for a side of dressing which was $2 additional. The Caesar salad at Issac Newton's is amazing, really amazing but I'll order it for dinner with my husband next time. It was expensive for lunch at work. I also have to rave about the seasoned fries with dipping sauce! Holy crap, they're my favorite and a must have! All in all Issac Newton's is my favorite restaurant in Newtown. Sadly, there are so many corporate chain restaurants popping up and are mediocre compared to Issac Newton's. Did I mention the atmosphere is really nice and cozy? Their menu has a mix of cutlet sandwiches, cheesesteaks, burger, tacos, quesadillas and burritos. The man who took my order wasn't much for words, but the food more than made up for it! My wife had the Chicken Quesadilla $15 (comes with fries). I had the combination tacos $16 which had one hot sausage taco, one chipotle and one birria. All three tacos were stuffed and bursting with flavor. The double tortillas were awesome and made the overstuffed tacos easier to handle, but were also fresh and had a nice crunch to them. I enjoyed the birria most with the chipotle coming in a close second. The hot sausage taco was decent, but I needed more heat and flavor from it. The birria had a tasty combination of cheese, cilantro and onion to go along with the seasoned beef. The chipotle chicken partnered with pineapple, cilantro and onion hit the spot as well. The Chicken Quesadilla had a perfect portion of melted cheese and lightly seasoned chicken. It also held together extremely well. The fries were forgettable, but the main event was delicious.
