This is a perfect cigar smoking, have a casual drink - laid back spot. You can mingle or you can be alone with your thoughts. Everyone is friendly and provides just enough attention. Great GREAT selection of cigars. Enough adult beverages to unwind - DO NOT COME HERE TO GET DRUNK it's not that kind of place and for that I am grateful. They have sports on a couple of tvs. It's quiet and they have all kinds of seating - couches, bar stools, sofas & regular chairs. The bathrooms are clean! As a woman I've come in here on a packed night and an empty one. I always feel comfortable and am taken care of. Prices are super great for both cigars & drinks. Under new ownership, which has completely turned this place around. The old owner was about as worthless as FDR in a relay race. He was a real scumbag in every sense of the word, as alluded to in some of the reviews below. Thankfully, David and his family have made many changes for the better. What a terribly disappointing and outright bizarre experience. Having just moved to the area, my cigar loving husband was over the moon to find a place where he could smoke indoors and enjoy a beer. With only a month in Nashville under our belt, he had already visited twice and asked me if I wanted to go almost nightly. Last night I gave in and we trecked out to Brentwood. The store closes at 9pm on Friday's which is hard for us to digest coming from a city where nothing really opens until 8pm. We were cutting it close to the wire arriving around 8pm, but were happy to enjoy a beer and even part of a cigar. When we walked in I immediately felt completely unwelcome. I waved and said hello to the owner who was sitting in the back talking with a friend. He just stared at me, then looked away. Ooookay then. We spent a good 10 minutes oohing and awwing over his humidor - it is impressive! Well stocked and well maintained. We each picked out our own smoke and I was happy that my husband decided to splurge a little. We have been pretty exhausted from the move so this was going to be a real treat! We walked over the counter to pay and we asked for a few beers. "No. I'm closing." We both looked at each other, looked at the clock, it was 8:13. "Oh, but I thought you were open until 9pm?". "No. I'm closing right now." "Huh, ok well would it be ok if we just had 1 beer?". "No, you can't stay". ....uh, what? really? two new PAYING customers, with pretty expensive cigars in front of you want to give you business and he outright refused. And at 8:13? You have to close right NOW? He basically told us to leave. My husband said, well, you just lost two customers then. His response? "GOOD". Now I pick my jaw up from the floor.... Honestly, I am still completely baffled as to what happened here. I have never in my entire life been treated like this. EVER. Maybe he doesn't like girls. Maybe he doesn't like money. I don't know, but I will absolutely never go to his store and I hope his future patrons will consider taking their business elsewhere. read more

Lessons learned today. Bloom vs. mold. Mold= bad, bloom= Good. I found a Fuente King in a tube and bought it. Being a novice smoker, when I got it to my car I saw what I thought to be mold. Little did I know that my Fuente was ripe and well taken care of. I took it back in and was able to exchange it for a new one. After leaving with my other cigar, I did a bit of quick research about cigar bloom. I quickly turned around and went and bought the "bloomed" cigar from Smoke and Ale. What a treat! This Fuente King was amazing. Wonderful customer service and great atmosphere. I'll be back!!! read more

Great selection of both high end and lower priced cigars. Nice bottled beer selection as well. Enjoyable place to stop and enjoy a smoke. It helps to be friendly with everyone thre. If you are shy, you will be left alone, if you're out going, you will fit right in. Strike up a conversation with the beautiful lady working there. She knows her stuff and is a pleasure to talk to. This place is great. The new owners are fantastic. Cozy lounge. Great humidor with nice selection. I don't drink but there's a great selection of bottled beer and a few choice selections on draft. The seating is limited to about 20-25 comfortably but it's almost never crowded. I almost don't want to leave a review because I like this place being my little secret! read more

If you are looking for a good selection of cigars, they have it. Beyond that, I have to go with the other review that called the place bizarre. The owner has all the personality of Oscar the Grouch. They have a lock on the humidor. You need a code to get in. You choose your beer from a cooler like at a 7-11. They do not show prices on their cigars in the humidor. How stupid is that? The cigar lounge seats about four people. If you are desperate for a place to go, I guess this will suffice. read more

What a great little lounge! We were greeted right as we walked in the door and catered too the entire time. 10 beers on tap and a huge humidor too! Our ashtrays stayed empty the entire time, and our beers stayed full. We were offered advice on cigars and overall just felt welcome. Will be back soon! read more

The new ownership have definitely been an improvement. They offer a nice selection of smoking paraphernalia, cigars, pipes, tobacco and a fine selection of adult beverages. The thing that makes it for me is the great customer service; these folks really want to assist shoppers. read more

Sarah A. wrote a scathing review of this place and she was correct, "was" being the operative verb. The business has since changed ownership. The previous owner was awful. The new owner is awesome. The interior is clean and nicely decorated. The stock of cigars is extensive. They also have a large selection of beer, both bottled and draft. Oh, and 6 TVs with the NFL ticket! What makes this place great is the owner, David and his family. They are friendly, courteous, and all around nice people (a polar opposite of the previous owner). You will not be disappointed with this place. read more
