Deep fried classics, stiff drinks and genuine neighborhood comradery is the heart of Larry's Restaurant & Lounge. Strangers mingling with strangers, people cheering on the underdog and a casual vibe that would make anyone feel at home. We spent several hours conversing with a couple that had met online and was having their first date. They invited us into their booth as if we had known them for years. To return the kindness, we cheered Bubba and his girl on for every song after that. haha. If you are looking for some karaoke with a lax atmosphere, then give Larry's a try. We had a great time and I'd definitely go back.

Inside the views are still wonderful, every wall is glass out to the tarmac and downtown beyond. Lots of space between tables, and lots of different styles of seating. Outside is another variety of seating, more great views, and a chance to catch the breeze. Nice selection of local draft beer. Friendly bartenders happy to make whatever cocktail you'd like, and a list of specialties to choose from. They're a little limited in the liquor selection, but glad to run downstairs to the lobby bar, if they have something needed for your drink. Shared the pimento cheese appetizer. Really good pimento cheese, and the special crackers it was served with were excellent. Wife enjoyed a salad with shrimp. I did the fried shrimp hoagie. The shrimp were perfectly fried, the flavors spot on. Just have to ding them a little for the sandwich being completely structurally unsound. Most of the shrimp had already fallen out of the bread when it was served, and it was impossible to get the shrimp back on the sandwich long enough to get it to your mouth. Still enjoyed it, would just have preferred a true sandwich to something that required a fork and knife. Still highly recommend if you want a casual meal, a pleasant time, and a great view. We'll certainly be back.

I…read moreunderstand reviews need to cover the whole experience, but a restaurant shouldn't get crushed if the food was excellent, but someone sat behind a noisy crying baby. Though I did not have that experience this could have easily been a five star review. I called in a website order with specific instructions for no onions. I ordered the chef Summer salad - O L and requested no onions. Of course I got onions, but didn't see them buried until I got back to the hotel. I also anticipated them to include a fork. Oh well, I guess they figured I could eat with my hands. As far as the salad goes, it was good. baby, spinach, crumbly, blue cheese, mandarin oranges, strawberries, walnuts, crumbly blue. All with orange mandarin vinaigrette. It was very tasty. Most everything was fresh, but the oranges and the strawberries were a bit soggy. Plenty of food for sure. I also added some blackened chicken and they put an abundance of that on top. Well done!
