No upselling, no surprises--just honest, straightforward business. That's refreshing these days. I came in on a Friday morning, and they had me in and out exactly within the promised timeframe. Parking was easy, and they even have a comfortable waiting area to escape the blazing South Bay sun. My sunscreen definitely appreciated the break! A big thank you to Jose for taking great care of both me and my beloved Honda EG. I understood and was completely fine with that since I did not have an appointment. There were a few cars ahead of me, so I waited about 15-20 minutes before it was my turn. Dru completed the VIN verification and emissions test on my vehicle. He then mentioned that the next appointment was running late and offered to fit my car in for the title transfer and registration so I could receive my plates and tags without needing to return. I was very excited to hear that, as it saved me an additional trip to the DMV or AAA. Dru was professional, efficient, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. It's clear that customer service is a priority here. The convenience of having everything handled in one place made the experience smooth and stress-free. While some other places may offer coupons for less expensive emissions testing, the value of top-notch service and genuine customer care is well worth it. I made an appointment through their website, very user friendly, and received a confirmation text shortly after. I decided I needed to modify my appointment, there didn't seem to be an option to do it on the website, so I texted the number back and asked to change my appointment, this was done quickly without issues. I arrived to my appointment 10 mins early. Dru was very helpful, friendly and professional. He entered my car's info into the system, and once my car passed the smog check, everything was updated and entered into the system already so that when I pay my registration, the DMV (or in my case, AAA) will see that my car passed the smog test. In case the system isn't updated, I was provided with a hard copy certificate to prove that it passed. My entire appointment took 10mins altogether, can't beat that! Pricing was fair and affordable, depends on the year of your car. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick smog check station.

I see a lot of 4 stars but even before this incident, it was not really more than 3 stars at best. I went this particular time and gave the man my registration form and was told to pull my car up. There was a faux pas where I locked my keys in my car just that quick. I had to wait for a bit to have an extra key brought to me. There were a few cars that came through for the service. I finally was able to pull up. Everything was fine and he handed me my smog cert and receipt. What he failed to do was return my registration form but I did not realize it until I got home so I went back to let him know he still had my form and without even looking, he was very adamant that he gave it back and I was 100% sure he had not...I hadn't been anywhere else and it was not in the car. So I asked if he could just look but he was rude and very unsympathetic to my request. I was insistent so he half-heartedly looked and I asked about a stack of papers that he finally rushed-looked through and then I ask about some other stack of folded papers that happened to be other registration forms of other customers that he claimed that they threw away. He tossed them at me to look through. I did not recover my form. Why would there be a stack of other customer forms that customers threw away just laying around if they threw them out? Why didn't he throw them out if that was the case? He probably didn't return their's either! Then it dawned on me that perhaps he was right and so was I. I had been there for a minute and he had my form the whole time so when the other cars came through while I was waiting for my extra key, he probably handed my form to one of those other customers or it's still there at his shop stuck somewhere but didn't bother to really look for it. I have no complaints with the smog check only the rude-ass merchant and because of that, I will go elsewhere where courtesy counts when spending my dollars! My form was never found that the merchant said he returned to me. How it got lost from his shop to my home is beyond my comprehension! Note: if any fraudulent activity arise as a result of my info being hijacked by this business or mistakenly given to the wrong customer, Best Buy Smog will be liable!!!!!!
