I'm thinking that the bad review was from a previous management or something (review written in 2007). My experiences with these people have been great. I went to them because the place next door (76 service station) recommended i go to a test only smog station down the street and the referral ended up screwing up my car. So to get it fixed, i didn't take it back to the guy who referred the guy who screwed up my car, i took it to his competition...and that's how i met these guys. They are good people and do honest business. Linh is the guy who usually takes care of my car, but the last time i was there to get some work done, it was done on time, inexpensively, and they even went through and cleaned my whole engine...when i opened my hood, i almost went blind because my engine was so shiny and no longer all black and corroded looking. In times like these, when you see people go the extra mile for you, it says so much more than it used to. I pulled up for a smog check, the smog tech saw me and said "one moment pls, be with you in 5" He acknowledged my presense - thats good - some shops dont give a #@!(& He then came up and asked what I need done, took my paperwork and keys He drove my car over to the machine Popped the hood and began to do his stuff - I stood and watched 10 mins later, he starts up my car again and drives it back out past this one wall, hands me the keys and said "okay youre done... just go to the front desk and I'll help you with the ppwk" He gathered/cleaned up some things then came over to me. within 3 mins I paid $30.00 out the door... (i know right?!?!? WTF??!?!)Thats a KILLER DEAL!!!!!!!! He even warned me that when i go back and drive off, my ABS/Traction Control light may be on, but itll go away after about 3-5 blocks - GOOD to know! 30 dollars out the door. It was pretty busy place. (Go figure since its cheap.) I was behind 3-4 cars. Most of them getting smog checks so that takes the time it takes since they only have one computer sensor to check it. I was there about 3:30-4:45pm. So not too bad considering there was a line. The workers are fine. The parking lots a little lame but they went and got my car from the lot when it was time. Basically, you get what you pay for, nothing more and thats fine. I was satisfied with the smog check until I found out that they broke the hook part of the hood prop and then zip tie it back to the hood. I normally get my car services at home so we know that it was not broken prior to going to the shop. I called the shop this morning and spoke to the gentlemen in charge and he was certain that his worker would not have done something like that. He asked me to stopped by the shop on my lunch time to take a look at it. However, why would I stop by and waste my time when he is certain that they would never do something like that. I'll be sure to double check my hood the next time I bring in my car for a smog check since you cant trust these people that works on your car. I will not be coming back. read more

The customer service was great here. It's a little tiny shop but the fellow working the register and handling the schedule was very nice despite being extremely busy. I sat and waiting for my smog check to finish and was observing him manage all the calls coming in, all the clients already getting serviced, all the mechanics, and he was very on top of things. I got a quote for oil change service--it was a little more expensive than another place I also go to but if it were about the same price, I would've gladly come here to get the work done. Only came here for a smog check on a Saturday. Saturdays are definitely their busiest days, so make sure you make an appointment or be ready to wait. Came around 10am, came back at 11:00 for my appointment and then proceeded to hang out at Paris Baguette for half an hour. Super friendly service. This was for a smog check. Called around 8:05am and made an appointment for 8:30am. Got there 8:35am, 5 minutes late. Was told by a very rude mechanic that since I'm late, I have to wait 25 min for another car to finish (looks like they haven't started on it). I asked, it's only 5 minutes. The mechanics response was something to the effect of "too bad, your late, every minute counts..." I was going to wait but his attitude really bothered me so, I asked "Why not just call me and let me know (they took my phone # when I made the appointment), I could of come later." The mechanics response was "Your the one who's late. I don't need to call you. You should of called." At that point, I left. Now, I was late 5 minutes and if he was nice about it, I would of waited. Cant complain here. I dropped off my car for a smog check ($40) and oil change ($25) and they said they would be done in an hour. I dropped off my car and was gonna pick it up later but I ended up eating at Jang Su Jang that I could have practically walked to. Been coming here for years now and Lin has always been awesome! I always get the earliest appointment and leave my car for oil change. They are very efficient and nice people! This is why I love coming back here! They're also honest and will tell you what's going on with your car!
