I bought a used truck and needed a smog check to complete the DMV paperwork. 1999 Chevy truck. Some places charge more for older than 2000 models. WHY? I don't know. They didn't pull that here - $50 including the electronic certificate to DMV. In and out pretty quickly. I'd use them again, even if they are hard to find because they're completely blocked by the car wash. They're BEHIND the car wash! Now that you know, you should be able to find them easily. I came here to smog my fourth car in two months. I did the other three at another place, but it was always slow and they made it feel like they were unlikely to pass and I typically spent about 45 minutes there each time. I decided to try a different place. I tried The Smog Guys because they got such great reviews and after going through it, I do believe they were underrated. It was fast, easy and painless. It took no time at all. I will never got to another place for a smog! It turns out we have many things in common, one of which is drag racing. Smog tech had no clue what he was doing. He moved my spark plug wires around with a sharp object which sliced the rubber insulation around the wire. I watched him do it, I asked who was going to repair the damage and the guy in the office told me to fuck off and get the fuck out of his shop. Never went back and I'm filing a complaint to DMV occupational licensing in addition to the bureau of automotive repair. $300 later I had to buy a new wireset because Mercedes does not carry just 1 wire read more
