The waiting room is clean and neat. It is a peaceful spot considering it is a smog shop. It is hard to find for some but it is behind Jiffy Lube and the Carwash on Outer Hwy 18. This is a State Licensed Facility. It is a Test Only Site. They handle, cars, trucks, suvs, hybrids, diesels, and motorhomes. I've been here a couple of times to have a smog check done. One was a pass and one was a fail. Both times the test was done professionally, so much so that the gentleman performing my failed test proceeded to test it again, just to make sure the numbers were constant and correct. He didn't tell me what it was, but that's not his job. He was courteous and professional. When it comes to automotive work performed on my vehicles, that's all I want. I don't need a best friend. I needed to get my car smogged. I found Affordable Smog Test with a very good review. So I went to Affordable Smog Test. The gentleman was so kind and personable and friendly. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The location is not real obvious. It is off of Highway 18 behind Jiffy Lube and the Car and Dog Wash. (Yes! they have a bay where you can wash your dog, but you won't have time to wash your dog while getting smogged because the smog test is so fast.) In the area of Overland Meats. I went in today, was told busy, come back in an 1 1/2 hrs. So i come back. More paranoid / nonsense to keep me from gettin' r done. I've been going here for like 15 yrs with the same vehicle for my every two year inama because of the $35 coupon ad they run. But each time I go it seems to turn into more of a song and dance, It's a freekin smog check, it's not rocket science. Next day I went to another guy I use in Hesperia who charges $50 and I'm in and out in 10 mins. Sure, I paid $15 more, But my time is money too. At first I was worried how long it would take but they worked very fast and got me all done a lot faster than what I expected. Not a happy camper! I had been waiting to get my car smog done, they usually have a coupon every few months for $35. I couldn't wait any longer ,so I figured I would just bite the bullet and pay full price $49.95. I mentioned to the gentleman behind the counter that I had been waiting for the new coupon to come out but needed to get it done. Got my smog done, paid my $49.95 and went home. Picked up the mail and low and behold what is in the mailer - a coupon for $35 smog. Instead of saying "hey, new coupon just came out, should be in your mailbox if you can do it another day, come back".
