There is even a relaxing waiting area akin to what you would find at a hotel. Simply amazing. Pricing seems reasonable to me,and getting in and out was relatively easy. They even provide complimentary flatbed totes to move your stuff from outside at the ground floor to your unit. She was very thorough when we signed our paperwork and explained all aspects of the unit to us in detail. Not only was she funny and friendly but she even offered my children a cool office to rest in when we moved our stuff in on a hot summer day. The unit was clean and really secure. Several unit areas at this location are inside old strip mall buildings which give an added layer of security. All in all, our experience with Xxtra Storage was phenomenal. They have automatic doors that open and close when you punch in your code to get into the building. Security is excellent with a keypad to get into the building, 24 hour monitoring and recording of inside and outside, security cameras outside and inside the building, a person in the office on site 7 days a week. The unit I rented was extremely reasonably priced and lower than what I am paying at another facility without the amenities Auburn Storage has. The building is heated and cooled with humidity control which is perfect for antiques to be storied at. They keep the thermostat at between 75 and 80 during the Summer depending on the humidity. It is heated during the Winter. The building has outside lighting and inside lights at all times. There are covered areas you can drive under to load and unload your vehicle by the automatic doors which are large. They also supply huge push carts that you can use to move your items with. The parking area is large, clean, and well maintained. The inside area is clean, well maintained, and has fire alarms, fire sprinklers located throughout the building and fire extinguishers located on every hall in case needed. Your items are insured if damaged. There is easy access to the building since it is located inside an industrial park with good roads. The staff is very nice, professional, and helpful if you need help. Payment is easy to do with on-line or in the office. The units are well lighted at all times so you do not have to turn lights on or off. Units 10 feet by 20 feet and up have back and front door access. Units bigger have around 3 to 4 door access so you don't have to pull all your items out to reach an item in the back of the unit. I can't say enough good things about this storage facility. It is awesome ! If you get the chance go check it out and hope you can get a unit there. I was very impressed with the staff , building, and the amenities.

They kept telling each other things like "we're only here for 2 hours, then we're gone" with me standing right there. After they were "done" loading the truck after 3 1/2 hours, the back half of the truck was poorly packed, not even to half the height of the truck, so we had to rent an additional U-Haul to move the rest of our stuff, which is a first. They put boxes clearly marked as heavy on top of fragile boxes, and some of our belongings were destroyed. I tried to make this right ever since the move, but they have been useless. Now the owner, Ricky, has completely ghosted me and is avoiding my calls. Pitiful experience.

Many wooden furniture pieces were not wrapped at all even though I had blankets provided for them and are now scratched. I had a new leather couch that was not wrapped with anything at all and had all kinds of things stacked on top of it. I brought 2 sectional couches and they did not shrink-wrap or cover them with blankets at all. Many items broke completely in transit due to the way it was loaded on the truck. I wish I could have supervised the loading but I was behind on some of my packing. I had a box where I gave specific directions not to pack anything on top of it, and it was labeled as such as well, but it was at the bottom of a large stack of boxes. There are many expensive items I will now need to replace. Do not hire them if you can't watch them load anything.
