So disgusted with the employee behind the deli counter. As I am reading the signs displayed that samples will no longer be given to customers (understandably) due to the coronavirus, I witnessed and employee open up the salad compartment and with her bare hand ate a piece of the broccoli salad. Seriously! This is so wrong even without the coronavirus. I don't want to see anyone lose their job but obviously there is a lack of training. I did report this to customer service...hopefully between that and this review it wont happen again. read more

While visiting Death Valley we stayed in Pahrump a few days. Every day we headed out we went to the Smith's Deli for sandwiches (they are not advertised, but they will make them for you) and boy what a delight. For $4.99 we received sandwiches that were so yummy and large enough to eat one half and be full. Not sure about the store itself, but I am a fan of the deli! read more

I like Smith's! Compared to Walmart and that other grocery store in Pahrump, Smith's is an upscale market with plenty of "fresh" produce. Staff is friendly & helpful. The only place in town to buy edible beef & seafood. read more

Smith's is very popular with seniors probably because it's a short walk from things parking lot to the store interior. Selection is good and the deli is great. This store has a gas station with diesel in the front just off the highway. read more

I just started using this smiths pharmacy as my new pharmacy and today 10/13/20 was the second time I refilled my meds and the pharmacist and employees are awesome very nice sweet people ALL OF THEM !! most pharmacy's and employees seem to hate people in my experiences! But not this Smith's pharmacy they are great they treat everyone with respect and seem to generally care about their customers I am fairly new to pahrump but I found my pharmacy best one I ever used to be honest! read more

It is amazing that they do provide pickup service due to COVID, however, that's where I'm having a problem. I can't seem to get all my grocers the first time around, frequently I have go back and pickup items that were not brought out, but left at the checkout. They are always frozen items. We are constantly having to substitute things we order even though the items are in stock. We personally checked this out. I called corporate about that issue. What is with that. I called and spoke to Eva in customer service, she gave me the inpressssion she was much to busy to talk to me. My time, obviously, has no limits, even though, I need to return to the store to pickup items that were missed. read more

Smith's grocery store is wonderful. The selection of Organic food is outstanding. The staff is helpful. If I can't find something I can always get a rain check. The checkers always ask if I found everything I need. The people that bag the food ask if I need assistance out to my car. Thank you Smith's for being there for the people of Pahrump. I rate this a 4 star experience. Go early as there are less people shopping. read more

The evening management of this Smiths is the worst I have ever seen. I was staying for 4 days at a nearby hotel and had to run in for a few things. I left my service dog in the care of my son and he needed the key card to enter our hotel room. He brought the service animal into the store just to get the room jet from me. An employee followed him demanding he leave the store immediately and he explained he just needled to get the room key. I walked up and told the employee the dog was a service animal and my credentials were in my phone in the hotel room. She proceeded to violate mine and my sons personal space standing 6 inches from us threatening us and violating HEPPA regulations by asking me why u needed a service animal. She followed us into the parking lot arguing and telling us to leave the store that we had already left. Yelling at us through the parking lot. It was the most unprofessional behavior I have ever seen in a store. read more

Wow. Sis came in to get some groceries. She just had a baby so she's on that wic thing. 2 managers and 3 other employees had no idea what they are doing. Had to rescan, after already waiting about 20 mins while they flip through their book and figure out how to type it in. Seriously, out of 5 people not one of you knew how to type in a wic check. Today July 12 around 7 pm went to the deli as I approached there was one older man behind the meat and cheese area and no one in line so i was excited not to have a wait , so after about ten minutes he asked me what would i like i told him a lb of American cheese separated in paper so it doesn't clump up and break as it sticks together so he made me a lb and handed to me and it was all stacked on each piece like a pile !!! I said could you please take this back and separate in the lined papers like i asked of you and he took it back and opened the bag and shoved two pieces of paper in the middle and broke cheese slices while the rest was still piled up I could not believe he did this so i told him I didn't want it and wasn't paying for crumbled broken stuck together cheese and to cancel the meat order as well and walked away grabbed a few things checked out got home to. Find missing items that were paid for so now i have to make another trip to pick up what wasn't bagged up come smiths you can do better !!!!! read more

Was traveling through town and needed to buy some dry ice. Was sent to the customer service desk by one of the cashiers. Had to wait in line while the customer in front of me dealt with an issue. Begin FLAME --- The guy in front of me purchased two nasty looking precooked chickens. Apparently if you buy two you get them for the price of one. However, the advertised deal was not programmed into the computer. Instead of just giving the guy about $2 the customer service person proceeded to rering everything in the guys in the basket except for something that was about the same price as the twin chicken. Except that she didn't credit the guys card for the original purchase. Then they proceeded to have an argument about whether or not his card was going to get credited for the correct amount. I'm on vacation and willing to wait for the blessed dry ice that I hope is stored behind the counter. Finally after the manager is called and she practically calls the customer service person and idiot for not just giving the guy $2 back for his now cold as a rock chicken twins the guy tromps out and I am next in line. "You should have just got that from the cashier!" the customer service lady shouts at me 20 minutes after I'd already asked the cashier where to get the damn dry ice. GRRRR! ---- End FLAME The dry ice was awesome. It lasted almost 2 days while I sweltered in Death Valley. But I swear that I would have been better off with spoiled milk than to have spent a minute in that store. Also... I was kind of hoping to see a bona fide prostitute in Pahrump but evidently they don't shop at Smith's. read more

Who ever is the Manager should be fired. I went there 3 times this week around lunch and dinner time and not one rotisserie chicken was done, Sometimes there was no food under the heat tray. Please fired the Manager he does not know how to run a supermarket. read more

This location of Smith's has a gas station. And it was only $2.99 a gallon for the cheap stuff. But that's still almost a dollar cheaper than in Los Angeles. Make sure to fill up here if you're on your way to Death Valley or to Vegas. read more

I would give this store a on the whole at a super rating, it has most everything any one could want, I have used the Pharmacy now for many many years, with no mistakes at all, not like some others where I came home, with the wrong person's R/X in my bag, and had to back to get my own R/X so for me, its been a good and great service for years. no reason to say anything bad at all,, just 5 star for me. read more

Since Kroger took over this once great store has been on a downhill slide. So many of the brands have been replaced by Kroger brands, UNACCEPTABLE. I never heard of Kroger let alone what they push. I have had several issues, regarding the brand replacement, with Kroger and I do mention it everytime I fill a Kroger survey for fuel points. I have made it known to the Kroger HQ that if they didn't give fuel points I would absolutely not be shopping there. The staff? One could not find a more helpful, kind and absolutely friendly group any where. I've been a Pahrump resident since 1998 and full timer since 2008 so I've known most of these folks for a LONG time. Whenever I mention a problem to Kroger HQ on their surveys they ask if I have brought the issue up with the management at the store. The local management has SQUAT to do with the changes made by the Eastern HQ that mandates what goes on at the local Pahrump store thousands of miles from HQ. One could say I am disappointed with the local Smith's. That would be putting it lightly. read more

Most of the staff are friendly and helpful I believe Smith's is the best grocery in town. I also recommend the bakery and cakes

Great deal and great price at Smith's Grocery. Staffs are very friendly so we love to shopping over here. Save gas when you shopping too.
