I did notice that the line did for the drive through was LONG and moved solely. We've been going here for years. Whenever we're in the area, it's our go to for our drug store needs. Since it's walking distance from the Holiday Inn, it provided a convenient place to get basic needs. The store is clean and organized. Most items that I looked for were on the shelves. They also always have sales on things at seasons end, just like other Walgreens stores.

So when Gayle and I were recently cruising in from the Death Valley/Shoshone area, we filled up here in the interest of having a full tank as we journeyed on. This station arguably has the cheapest gasoline in Parrump, if you consider 4.29 (Cash or Debit) a good deal in these times. However, the credit price (4.41) was a little higher than I expected. She was thirsting, we were bursting. Our destination - Needles. This was a perfect stop to fuel our journey across the unforgiving Mojave Desert byways. Restrooms outside Post Office Building, quiet fountain. Shoshone Museum across the highway. It is so good to be in a Pod. I kept thimking about the Jayhawker Party crossing this desert in their wagons, leaving dead Jayhakers, oxen and horses dead on the trail as the Timbisha Shoshone watched from a distance. We have Chevron fuel, cold Sprite, air conditioning, four new tires and a fine engine taking us to Needles.
