I did notice that the line did for the drive through was LONG and moved solely. We've been going here for years. Whenever we're in the area, it's our go to for our drug store needs. Since it's walking distance from the Holiday Inn, it provided a convenient place to get basic needs. The store is clean and organized. Most items that I looked for were on the shelves. They also always have sales on things at seasons end, just like other Walgreens stores.

This pharmacy has been a literal nightmare for my mom since she moved to Pahrump. She is quite ill…read moreand in a tremendous amount of pain most days. She takes multiple medications for the pain and to help with her illness. Every single month without fail, she's treated like she doesn't matter and that her pain doesn't matter. They constantly make her wait anywhere from 1-3 days while they re-order. Yes, we are aware of the shortage and the new laws about opioids etc. but to make a person wait is beyond cruel! They tell her they order it and will be in the following day and poof, it didn't come in or they didn't send enough or what happened yesterday... the girl says "oh no. We had to give it someone who came in before you. I'm sorry. We will reorder it for you" Why? You said you ordered twice before "for my mom". Again; 3 days she went without. It is not good enough and beyond cruel! We've never had an issue with the Walgreens in vegas. Or smiths. Or cvs. It's the Pahrump Walgreens! And to top it off, most of the employees in the pharmacy are rude, short with her and honestly you know that they do not care one iota about anyone unless it's their friends or family. They shouldn't be working in this field at all if they have no empathy or care for others. I'm not saying all of the employees, but most of them flat out don't care. They treat her like she's an addict looking to score. It's terrible. You get your meds shoved at you thru the drive thru and 75% you don't get a help, how are you today or a thank you. They obviously hate their job. Especially the big heavy guy. Unfriendly doesn't even begin to describe him. He should NOT be working with people who don't feel well. He and others should be grateful they're able to work. I'm sure most of the sick people who come thru wish they could work. So be grateful people! And first and foremost, be kind!

Have come across a few that aren't so friendly. But most are ok. The store is clean. Maybe I just go in at an off hour. I ran out of my prescription and have been without it for about a week, when I've continuously been on it for almost A YEAR. Something I shared with the pharmacist, and yet they refused to fill it, because ... They didn't want to. And, as I was told multiple times by the pharmacist "it's up to me, and I make the decisions.". She said it was a red flag, that I didn't live in pahrump (um, I'm travelling and this is the same state, am I wrong? And wahoe county is literally y'all's neighbor, am I wrong?), and bcuz I didn't have an established history with her, she would fill the prescription. What if I just moved to pahrump and was picking up the script for the first time? Or, what if I lived in pahrump my whole life, and was just prescribed this medication? ANY time I pick up a script for the first time, they wouldn't have an established history with me. This is insane. This is a WALMART pharmacy. Not a dinky local one. Transferring medication I've taken for almost a year, from ANOTHER Walmart, WITHIN the same state, should NOT be an issue. I am and was completely aghast. I even told her that cutting this medication off cold turkey can cause seizures - something she was probably aware of, and she said she was - and she STILL wouldn't fill it. She even went from "ask ur doctor to send in a new script (which would take a day, and is not an option, as I don't live in pahrump, and I can't afford to stay a night on the off chance they MAY fill my script or not. This is unethical, and also just stupid and not following any rules. Just because "she" makes decisions... Completely disappointed and pissed. If I get seizures, it's on you, lady. I WILL be bringing this to corporate.

That alone was a win. I grabbed a sandwich from the premade section but couldn't find any mayo packets. I asked for help and the man who assisted me was really lovely. He went out of his way to help even though I will admit I somehow ended up back at the hotel with 3 tartar sauce packets and 1 mayo. His effort was very much appreciated regardless!
