After the 1000th time of dealing with stupid situations in this store, I have decided to NEVER visit this one again. Too bad because it's fairly close to me, but I just have gotten to the point that I dread coming in here. One the surface you would think it's a great store, but on closer inspection I don't need the hassle. So the final straw, I go in today to buy 4 things. One of which is peanut butter and I like to buy the fresh made stuff from the machine. I go over hit the button but nothing happens. I even sit there for a bit and mess with it trying to figure out what is wrong. Now since there are peanuts, I figure I just need to find someone to un-jam it. I go over to one guy who is in the Deli and tell him my problem. I even said that I knew it might not be his department but could he find someone. He says sure. 5 or 6 minutes later, I realize that NO ONE was coming. I walk over to two guys stocking fruits. I explain the problem when one guy goes, "Oh so-and-so isn't here today so we can't fix it." No even ATTEMPT at doing a damn thing or pretending to be concerned. I respond, "It's probably just jammed. You probably just need a spatula or something like that. " I get another excuse that they never go over there and know nothing about those machines. Then one of the guys pulls a knife out and is like, "OH I have this. Would this work." At this point the other guy is still just standing there staring at me like he could careless and the one guy with the knife sounds about as useful as my shoe. I had a few words about this not being brain surgery and stormed off. I go and checkout. I ask the girl if there is a manager around. She says yes but he's on a register checking people out and won't be getting off. I'm so irritated that the manager isn't available to MANAGE his store. I just shake my head and walk away. This is on top of me CONSTANTLY having to practically fight stupid every time I bother to use a check out person and not do it myself. I use reusable bags. I bring LOTS in with me but at some point they ALWAYS try to put something in a bag. When I ask them to take it out they act all insulted and give me some stupid excuse for why it NEEDS to be in a plastic bag. Yes because those f'n plastic bags are flippin made of chlorox and will really help stop any germs or they are made of 6000 lbs of cotton and will keep things from breaking. No, they are cheap , teeny tiny plastic bags and do nothing but cause more trash. And seriously, WTF does this happen EVERY SINGLE TIME. I even had one kid ask me if I wanted to bag my own groceries. I had a few words with him that he didn't like. On top of things being broken and the staff being about as useful and intelligent as a rock, they also tend to be out of stuff. I haven't seen proscuitto in forever and they only carry one kind of smoked salmon. I found my trip to the Smith's over by the District yesterday to be MUCH more enjoyable and will probably start going there from now on out. I have shopped almost exclusively at Kroger brand stores my entire life. I've never had the kind of frustrations and headaches that I have at this store. Besides, it isn't in a great part of town so I'll be happy to stay off that side from now on out. read more

Nice, friendly store! All of the employees are so welcoming and that they are genuinely happy you are there. I have always had a very positive experience in the store. Produce always looks nice and fresh, and the bakery is great! There are some seriously great deals if you use coupons through the app, and that will really bring down your bill! I use to come to this smiths very often before discovering winco. The new lower prices made me come back. However today your cashier was insanely rude and made my check out frustrating while I tried to maintain cool since my son was with me. Upon coming home I realized the whole cooked chicken I had purchased in an attempt to do a quick dinner because my husband is sick was ruined because the chicken still had raw pink meat smack in the middle of the breasts. The meat was so undercooked I couldn't even tear a piece off with my finger but had to slice down with a steak knife (like raw chicken does) super disappointed. I'll likely still stop by in a pinch but I'll be hitting winco again for my actual grocery shopping. Not to mention winco is open 24hrs still and this smiths is not. Not even worth coming to for the gas points when the cashiers are rude and the precooked food isn't even cooked properly! read more

I do not live close to the store by any means. I am only a few blocks from Albertson's but I would never go there, not for only one item needed in desperation. Smiths on the other hand is worth the trip. A friendly clean store that is easy to navigate. They always have what I need and their prices are very reasonable. read more

I've been shopping at this Smith's for almost 10 years. I know many of the weekday employees and since I'm there regularly, most of the employees at least know me by sight and offer friendly service. Except the checkers. This would easily be a 5 star rating if not for the checkers, who are either cranky or just don't bother even looking at you. I like the rewards program and that they offer a "self-check" area for quick in-and-out visits. read more

Not the cleanest of places. Parking lot starts off the adventure by always having carts all over the place and trash blowing around. Many times they do not have the items I have on my list. Prices are not very reasonable either for the quality of produce. read more

To me this store is like a wife or long time girlfriend. You know there are issues and problems, but at least you know what they are and what to expect. Unlike a Winco or Trader Joes, the problems here are predictable and mild. You're not going to find anyone wearing Crocs or Birkenstocks here, the shoppers for the most part are regular people, unpretentious and decent. Most of the time the kids who bag the groceries are too busy talking to each other or checking their phones to even make eye contact or (eeek!) acknowledge your presence. Do not come here to buy shampoo, ibuprofen or any form of decent Salsa. You're going to pay a premium for those items and in the case of the Salsa, you won't find any. But the store is big enough to carry most of what most people buy, while small enough to get in and get out quickly. None of that over the top environmental nonsense found at Fresh and Easy and none of the chaos of Winco. Great produce at a reasonable price, great meats at a decent price and great non-general-merchandise pricing overall. Like I said, avoid the Ben-gay, Tylenol and lotion aisle all together and you'll find great value in a clean, predictable environment. read more

I have used Smiths forever but being ill I started using Vons delivery, ugh. But they do give you refunds on dented stuff or missing items. But Smiths I am back. Hoping delivery service to follow. I've never had any problems with this store. The produce is always fresh, the meat is good quality and there are many options for specialties that you can't find at all Smith's. The employees are always helpful and friendly. I go there a lot since I live live nearby, and it has started to feel like a small grocery store because people recognize you. The other great thing I like is that the prices are always reasonable. I didn't realize how much cheaper items are in Smith's until I stopped at an Albertson's the other day. OUCH! Someone else here said that it's a grocery store. Nothing more. Nothing less. However, I disagree, places like Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, and (yuck) Fresh & Easy have upped the ante. Grocery shopping is no longer what is was in 1977...people want organic, free range, grass fed non GMO food. This Smiths is better than most, not as good as some (I prefer the Valle Verde/215 store, great wine selection!), it's okay n a pinch. Why the 3 stars? It has an "odor" to it. Perhaps that is why I feel the need to get in, get out, and NOT linger. It's okay. Get rid of that scent, add to the wine/cheese selection and that would be an improvement. read more

This is might go to grocery store. All of the people that work there extremely nice and helpful I'm usually in and out. Sometimes there are not enough checkers so you have to wait just a little bit but put that against the helpfulness of the people that work there and it's better. read more

Pharmacy!! This was by far one of the worst trips to this pharmacy! We have loved coming here for about two years now til today! Customer service here was beyond exceptional, always making sure we were taken care of and our costs were low. Today came in there is a whole different crew there that I e never seen. Asked for my husbands prescriptions they proceed to tell me the price of one was $66. Just in February we had this filled for $32 so I asked them to check to fix the price. They ran a couple scenarios but still only got it to $59. They blamed it on insurance. The people we dealt with. Who're here would always help us find ways to reduce cost not just tell me it's Insurance's fault. Then I asked for the prescriptions back so we could go elsewhere. A few minutes later a lady leaned over the pharmacy counter and in an attitude voice told me I couldn't have them. They were electronically sent to them so she wouldn't give them to me and I was to contact the doctor. Major customer issues now!! So sad we loved this place but we will never be back to this one again. read more

This review is for the Smith's pharmacy: Needed cough medicine for my wife, called the pharmacy on Sunset, and asked if I could pick it up tonight. The pharmacist responded that if I come in at 7:00 I could pick it up. Arrived at 7:00 pm and was told it wasn't ready by a pharmacy technician if I could come back in 20 minutes she would have it ready. Came back and she was not done, she said give her some time and she would get it done. After a few minutes, she tells me they don't have the cough medicine. Here I was talking to them 3 times that night to find out they don't have the medicine. Ok, after three attempts I have gotten their attention. They did find that the Valle Verde Pharmacy had the cough medicine, which worked so they get one star. It is so hard to find a pharmacy that is smart enough to handle the workload that the pharmacy gets. The important part was that my wife could get some sleep tonight and that almost didn't happen. I didn't yell but they do know that I wasn't happy. read more

The organic produce "dept" is a joke here. Whenever I go in to purchase what's advertised in the weekly flyer, they don't have it. I've been told by employees that "celery and cucumbers are seasonal products" (really? tell that to every other grocery store in the country). In the summer, I bought organic green grapes that were so sour and mushy that I composted them. This was not a one-time occurance. I have no idea who the supplier of the grapes were, but they were awful. Another thing that really bothers me is why they insist on refrigerating the organic avocadoes. Avocadoes ripen in room temperature; if unripe & kept cold they will NEVER ripen. So I don't bother buying avocadoes from here. I mentioned this to the produce manager once and he just stared at me like I was from Mars. The regular produce dept has maybe 100+ items. The organic section has maybe 15-20 at the most. The prices are double than what's at Sprouts. I mainly use this store for the bulk section. However, the PLU codes are strange. Organic items are supposed to start with a 9. There are some products in their bulk section that have a code starting with 9, but are NOT labeled organic. Then there are products that ARE labelled organic (with the USDA organic seal) but their code is 5 (which usually signifies conventional products). Huh? As with all mainstream grocery stores, there are simply too many overly processed items filled with not-very-good-for-you ingredients. I stock up when the Amy's vegan burritos go on sale. For the first time ever, last month they had vegan SoDelicious Coconut Milk egg nog! I grabbed about 20 of those cartons and now they're resting comfortably in my freezer :) read more

This Smith's is not the closest to where we live. However, we often find ourselves driving the extra distance for the greater variety of products. This place is not as friendly as the location on Ann/Camino al Norte in North Las Vegas. I go several times a week to this place and they don't keep their vegetables stocked and employees are just not as friendly and helpful. I really miss my old store, I wish I could switch them out. You all should go and take training at that North Las Vegas location and learn something! read more

I walked up to the pharmacy around 6 on a Friday night and asked how long it would take to fill a prescription. All 3 employees were just sitting there and staring at me, doing nothing. One said rudely "at the very least 30 minutes". Needless to say I left. Disappointed. read more

Smith's pharmacy- my family and I have been going to this smiths pharmacy for a few years now. I want to acknowledge the pharmacist Salvador! He has taken such great care of my family, from creating a no scary nights (water in a medication bottle) for my youngest when she was going through major medical treatment, surgeries, blood tests, etc. to making sure I was doing well on my medications and preventing doctors from giving me meds that could trigger my a-fib, to taking care of my husband when I was unable to get ahold of my husbands doctor, Sal helped me work out what to do to get my husband on the right track. He knows my family so well, he takes such good care of us and I am so happy, beyond happy that he is our pharmacist and he takes the time to sit and explain and help in anyway he can!! You are the best!!! Thank you so so very much for all that you do for us and so many other people out there! read more

don't go here for meat or anything. been here everday for over a week after work and before work. can't get basic hamburger meat or pasta sauce. the lady at the meat counter said they ordered 150 lbs of hamburger meat and it's all gone from 2 hours of being open. hello order more freaking meat you idiot. they don't know what they are doing especially in a crisis. don't waste your time like i have done. go to wal-mart, target, albertsons anywhere else but this place. they must be catering to the old folks and not the people who are working for a living. ridiculous. vegas isn't ready for this. read more

This is a very big and clean store. It's always busy and the parking lot is a pain in the rump at times. The lines are normally fairly short, maybe 2 or 3 times they needed to open another register and eventually did. I mostly come to Smith's for my meats because they are fresh and they do have some good prices. Recently the Smith's chain has become less shopper friendly offering bigger sales prices for digital coupons in addition to requiring you to use their store card so they can track your shopping habits. I must admit though, they do send us coupons in the mail occasionally for several free items which is awesome. But back to those digital coupons! Please do away with them. I seriously don't mind using the card, but really, I don't need a part time job logging into their web site and figuring out what coupons I need to get. The one time I did it, it didn't work anyway. I had downloaded these digital coupons to my Smith's card (supposedly) but when I checked out, I definitely didn't get the digital discounts. So now I just look at their ads and think, mmm too bad that's a digital (fake) price or I would go there instead of Albertsons, lol. Anyway, you still get 4 stars for a nice store and good meat deals. read more

I used to love shopping here at this specific Smith's. Customer service used to be great nowadays not so much. Many of the employees here just do not seem happy nor want to be there. Today specifically there was no cashiers open only the self checkout stations were open and they were all being used not to mention the line was backed up big time. Fat ass store manager walking around and no attempt to even get on a cash register to help check people out so they can get on with their day....unbelievable! Also when you check out keep an eye on the prices. I noticed today that the red grapes that were supposed to be on sale for .98 cents per pound were ringing up at $2.98 per lb. Purchased 3 bouquets of Carnations for my mom for Valentine's Day. I am so surprised to see that a week later, the flowers are still in full bloom and could possibly last another week or so. I have purchased flowers from other places, including online, and never have they lasted this long. Smith's will now be my place to pick up flowers. read more

This is my favorite store in town. Food is always fresh and if the fruits/vegetables are just a little past their prime (not rotten, like some other store in town) they sell it at a discounted price. We save a lot of money buying this way. I have to give out a special shout-out to the wonderful people who work in the pharmacy. Sal, John and Lori are all so friendly and compassionate. I get all my prescriptions filled there and I always feel like I'm talking with friends. read more
