I'm very happy with the work these guys did. this was the 4th tree cutter I called, yes 4th! The…read morefirst 3 dropped the ball on callbacks and/or no-call no-showed on me. C&R shows up on time, does good work, does it quickly and for a fair price. That's all you can ask for when it comes to tree cutters. :)

I wasn't planning to do the work this year, but Jordan offered me a very attractive price (lowered…read morethe offered price 3 times) in order to get the job. The crew showed up on time at the agreed upon date. This vendor had previously done work for me with no problems on a prior job and I was expecting everything to go smoothly. I even referred them to my neighbor who hired them for some additional work to be done while they were onsite at my house. Unfortunately, there was a disagreement about what 2 large branches were supposed to be trimmed on a large oak tree. I did not get the work done that I had agreed upon with Jordan. I needed a large branch removed that was in danger of falling on my neighbor's shed. That had been discussed at length with Jordan and was the primary reason for the job. A different and much smaller branch was removed instead. Stump grinding was part of the job and that part was completed as agreed. The stump grinding equipment was left in my neighbor's driveway and a truck came to pick it up. The truck drove across my lawn. This was really not necessary since the equipment was parked in a driveway and easily accessible without driving across my lawn. This is not a big deal for me (my lawn is ok) but some folks do get upset about this stuff. Misunderstandings about which branches were to be trimmed can happen. However, I don't feel that they really cared to try and resolve the issue with a reasonable compromise in good faith. Poor attitude. I paid them in full for taking down a different branch and will now have to hire another vendor to finish the job. This vendor is no longer welcome on my property. If you do use this vendor, make sure you get each branch clearly marked.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I paid this company over 20k to add some black top to my driveway and…read moreinstall a paved path and hardscaped raised bed in my back yard. This project should have taken about three months at most but dragged on through the summer and into the fall. I pointed to a picture in their catalog and said, "this is what I want". It was a curved and flowing path that looked great. What I got looked like it had been laid out by a 4-year old and was nothing but hard angles. There is no uniform width to the path, the cuts are sloppy, the lines they took do not work well and it looks nothing like the picture I showed them. I complained so they came back and "corrected" the worst section (about 6 months later) and did that section in a curve. So now I have a completely angular path with one big curved section in it. Complete MORONS. The communication between the foreman (Sean Johnson) and his team was absolutely terrible. This was a group of hard working guys that I think wanted to do a good job but about 5 minutes after Sean would leave they would have to knock on my door and ask me again what I wanted. When I told them they would say we can't do it like that ... The poor communication was perhaps the only constant throughout this project and I had to repeatedly call and ask when they were coming back to finish etc. Sean never wrote anything I said down so it's no surprise I had to hound him to get anything done and then explain it to him a second or third time when he would eventually show up. They also removed some trees from my front yard that were dead. I specifically asked Sean, "After the removal you will smooth this out and it will look just like the rest of the grass right?" His answer was "yes". They didn't sow any grass seed after the removal so of course the weeds took hold. I pointed this out and they came back to repair ... 2 of the 4 spots anyways. All four locations are still uneven and full of weeds. Guess I will have to fix this myself along with all the grass around the paved path (or pathetic excuse for one). If they had completed the project in a timely manner that spring they could have resown the grass before the summer and I wouldn't have had a mud pit in my backyard all winter. Before this project began Sean told me that "we will make sure you are happy with the final product". After they had "fixed" the section of path that was the worst (by installing one curve into a completely angular layout) I talked to Sean again and pointed all of the above mentioned problems out including a punch list of minor issues (that I had told him about three times already) such as stones that had noticeable issues like stains or cracks or that were off colored, along with other minor things that had gone unaddressed. He said they would come back and fix everything and make the path as I had originally specified so I talked to him about doing some more work to complete my vision of the entire house. He said I will drop a quote off in your mailbox. Still waiting on that quote and for them to come back and fix everything... it's been 6 months since that conversation. Now that the rest of the world knows how bad this company is, time to lawyer up.
