Just say no to this operation until Nathan figures out how to run his business. I had a horrid…read moreexperience with his company. By the looks of it, Living Social is giving him a lot of business and unfortunately he doesn't have the crew or organization skills to handle the volume of work. At first, it was extremely hard to even get a confirmed time to paint my place once Nathan came in and gave me an estimate. There was a lot of talk and promises to get back to me ASAP which never happened until I nagged over and over to please put something on the calendar. I don't think this business has a calendar. Appointments are handled via text and need constant babysitting/reminders to make sure that they actually happen. Don't get me wrong, Nathan is a nice person but is simply incapable of executing. He told me that he didn't have enough people to do the work and that he was hiring more contractors. I was annoyed but content thinking that it must mean his company does great work. Right? Wrong. When I finally had the appointment finalIzed, 2 guys showed up who clearly did not want to be there. They took breaks to smoke and relax and complained about the amount of work they have to do. Like what? Weren't you hired to do the work and aren't you getting paid for it? Mind you, it's not a 5 bedroom mansion we are talking about. I have a 1 bedroom apartment that is 810 sq ft. Ok, complain away as long as the quality of work was good, right? Wrong again. I am attaching the pics of their work for you to see, just so that you know I'm not just venting. I have hardwood floors and it was splattered with paint because they didn't have enough coverings to protect the floor. In fact they arrived with NO floor covers at all and had to leave to bring them. What painting pros get to the work site without basic necessities to do the job? The paint drops were alsoon my bathroom window, tiles and sinks. They also messed up my coat rack because instead of taking it off the wall, they decided to paint around it and of course painted directly on the mahogany wood of the rack. When I noticed what they did, they promptly removed the rack and tried to remove said paint and when all of it didn't come off, they gave me an advice on how to remove it myself. There were so many spots on walls that weren't painted through, I stopped counting and pointing them out. By 5pm one of the contractors faded entirely and just sat there talking about what he's going to do when he gets home and what type of food he's going to eat. So I paid them, saw them out and immersed myself in paint removal off the floor and other surfaces. I texted Nathan the next day and told him about my experience. I sent him the pics of the shoddy work. He appeared to be furious and straight out said "You're absolutely right. I just don't see how they did such crappy work... I'm going to give them a call to see what hell... That's just pure laziness and carelessness." I was being understanding and told him that he should probably reconsider hiring these guys again if he cares about the reputation of his business as much as he says he does. He promised to come out and fix everything as soon as possible. We scheduled for Friday afternoon and... I didn't hear from him. Two Friday's later, I sent him a text and told him that he obviously doesn't care about the company's reputation and that I don't even want to deal with this anymore. Needless to say, I do not recommend this business to anyone. Stay away.

I am not one to write a review unless I am REALLY satisfied or REALLY unsatisfied with a service…read more Working with John from Pristine Decors was one of the absolute best experiences I have ever had working with a company on our home. He has a very down to earth and genuine personality, and truly values 100% total customer satisfaction. I called him to inquire about his services, left a voicemail, and received a phone call back from him within the hour. He was at our door at 8am the next morning to do a walkthrough before pricing out the job. Even though we knew the exact job needed, he wanted to ensure he really understood the lay of the land and provided an accurate quote, which he turned around the same day of the inspection. After agreeing to the price (which was super market competitive!), we scheduled our service for the following week. John and his team arrived on time and even texted me ahead of time as a friendly reminder of our appointment. They did a fantastic job - we are SO happy with the results! Truly professional work, and I am so happy we spent the money to do something we could have easily done ourselves - which wouldn't have even turned out half as good as the work John's team did. He also did a walkthrough with us at the end to make sure we were pleased. All around such a great experience. And unlike many tradesman these days who are only in it for the money, John really is passionate about what he does and will give you guidance on anything from what paint to buy to how he plans out his work on the project. Will only recommend Pristine Decors for any of my friends and family wanting paint services - thank you so much, John! A corner of the plaster ceiling in the living room was falling away from the lathe. He was able to quickly cut out the deteriorated section and replace, mud, prime and paint over a two-day period. In addition, before our most recent tenants moved in, Mark painted the entire place (2 bed, 1 bath) over the course of a 3 day period. In addition, during this time he was able to do some repair work throughout (drywall, carpentry, etc.) In the summer of 2015, Mark helped my wife and I make our kitchen a reality. This was a complete gut-rehab. He moved a wall, completely rewired the kitchen, laid a new floor and floated it into the existing hallway floor (hardwood maple), installed new cabinets, moved the drain lines to put the sink in front of the window, added a dishwasher and crafted a pretty sweet washer dryer enclosure. His work is reliable and consistent. I will echo another poster, Mark continues to have work, so its best to contact him ahead and schedule in advance. His bids are both fair and honest (something hard to come by). We will continue to work with Mark

Mark came highly recommended by some friends of ours who had hired him to do some work for them…read more They raved about his work in their home. We contacted him for multiple bids for work we needed done around our home over time, and he provided us with 3 very reasonable quotes. We could not do all the work at once, so we hired him for one project to start with--to build a fence in our back yard. We paid him a deposit of half the cost of the project per our agreement. Work to start the following week. It appeared that he did not actually have an available crew or the necessary equipment to do the job and rather than be honest with us, he strung us along for almost 2 weeks with assurances that he was going to be getting his guys out. We ended up with only 6 poorly installed posts that were only 2 feet deep which we later learned is not in accordance with city code. He also installed them 3 feet in from our property line because he said the ground was overrun with vines and roots, making it impossible to dig through. This is true if you don't have the right equipment. When we questioned him on these points, he became very hostile, stated that correcting his work was "impossible" and hung up on my husband when he stated we wanted our money back. All our attempts to contact him have been ignored. We have never experienced a situation like this with contractor that came so highly recommended. We trusted him based on his reviews and our friends' recommendation and are now out a few thousand dollars. You can PM for more details if you are thinking of hiring him for anything. Seems he is great until you have an issue.
