I went with him because he did Invisalign, but for cheaper. Costly mistake. I wore my retainer every night and my front tooth still shifted. Yes I forgot to bring my retainers on my honeymoon, but they shipped them to me via the aligners club a few days later. That's not the bad part- I didn't realize until after it was too late how freaking badly they spaced my teeth with these Invisalign retainers. So badly that every time I eat, food gets caught in my gums and I constantly have to floss. Painful and quite annoying. When I finally decided enough was enough, I called them back, after I had paid good money and only saw him ONE time in the beginning of the process. He also drilled in between my teeth and I get coffee stains all the time now that I have to get salt water power washed out. Apparently there are some explanations for this but it made my teeth look so bad. I wanted to cry after spending all this money I didn't have the nerve to say anything. They then forwarded me to the Forever Alignment or Retainers club. I finally got it checked out and the orthodontist there said that the food impaction and spaces they put in between my teeth (bottom especially) were so awful. Now I'm spending another couple thousand at the minimum to have my teeth lifted up and crowded back together. At least at this new place I get to see the orthodontist every ten weeks to finalize my prescription for my teeth. I don't believe they were open at the time and I wanted my teeth done for my big day, my wedding. Overall I've heard some pretty corrupt things about the guy in general and I unfortunately sent my sister in law here to get her teeth fixed up with his Invisalign program for the 'low' and woah they have messed her up as well. Her teeth don't even loook straight. Save time and money and pain and go straight to Forever Aligners office in Martinez, grovetown. It may be a bit more pricey but it's worth it. I'm having to pay double + more to undo the havoc they created in my mouth.

No parent should be made to feel pressured into handing their child over without being present. Dr. Utermark pushed back extensively when I insisted on accompanying my son and only begrudgingly agreed to "allow" it after repeated insistence. That alone was enough to concern me, but my conversation with the doctor revealed several additional red flags that made it clear this is not a practice that values parental involvement, transparency, or patient comfort. The attitude was dismissive, controlling, and shockingly out of touch with what families should expect from pediatric care. There are FAR better pediatric dentists and orthodontists (who accept United Concordia- Tricare dental) in the area who understand that parents are partners in their child's care, not inconveniences to be managed. Dr. Utermark did an excellent job on my 6 yr old. He had…read morebumped his baby tooth years ago and it finally abscessed. She was able to get him in for an eval quickly and the got his extraction taken care of soon after. My son did great and he was willing to come back again the following month for a couple fillings too. She got him nice and numb and was able to do two fillings in his baby teeth. The fillings are smooth with no catches when flossing and Max said it didn't hurt and they still don't bother him. We made sure to get him the nitrous oxide to make sure he was comfortable. But I'm still so pleased with the quality of his fillings and the fact that he was willing to go back to see the dentist. Thank you Dr. Utermark and team!

I'm new to the area and I found this clinic online. When I first walked in the waiting room was…read morenice. But as I was brought around to the back of the clinic noticed how outdated all the equipment was. All the tools are extremely old and the machinery was outdated. The staff quoted my exam to be $160. I asked the staff to call my insurance to confirm before I agreed to treatment. They called and reassured me the patient pay amount was only $160. When I received the invoice over a month later, it showed a patient of balance of $260. I called the staff and they stated the $160 was an "estimate" and they have nothing they can do to lower the bill. After discussing this with my coworkers, I realized this is very common for this clinic, and they were not at all surprised when they heard what this clinic has done. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

My Name is Christie Bussey and my family and I were some of Dr. Makerson's first customers when she opened her practice. The kids were still in elementary and kindergarten at the time. So I said all of this to say She had been our family dentist until I relocated to Atlanta, GA in 1996 and even after that because I was still going back and forth visiting remaining family for about two years after that. But her "motto - gentle dentistry" is indicative of the type of service provided at her practice and nothing short in any sense of the word. Just to show you how loyal I am to her practice as well as the treatment I appreciate receiving; even though she is now out of network for me, I just went back this Summer to have her perform a Root Canal w/crown as well as cleaning. I love her very professional staff and the individual respect & patience rewarded whenever I visit and her work is indeed impeccable, it rises shoulder to shoulder with anyone else out there whom you deem impeccable.
