I had gone to Dr. Earl last spring, my dentist for many years, for dental clearance so I could get bone strengthening infusion to aid in my myeloma treatments. She used the old traditional type of film X-rays and told me that I needed a root canal before clearance could be given. After I got the root canal, Dr. Earl processed the dental clearance and was eager to install a crown, but I was further diagnosed by another dentist and oral surgeon using panoramic X-rays that I had a bone spur in my left gum causing a great deal of tongue irritation, a large cyst surrounding a wisdom tooth in my right jaw, and the tooth that just got the root canal needed to be extracted. These additional items needed to be addressed before dental clearance could be given and were completely missed by Dr. Earl. I repeat, completely missed by Dr Earl. After several trips to the new dentist, oral surgeon, University Hospital and Southwest Medical Center, all items were properly addressed and accurate dental clearance was properly granted. I got my first bone strengthening infusion last week. I won't go into detail about My son getting a serious infection from a root canal performed in their office. They resolved the issue on their part by saying that he needed to go to the E.R. A trip to a reputable oral surgeon treated my son and ended the issue by the doctor sending a letter of reprimand to their office. I won't go into detail about convincing my dementia burdened wife she needed a new denture; she could have been convinced to buy the Brooklyn Bridge. She never lived to pick it up. I won't go into detail about having to return three times over a two week period for them to totally extract a molar, not even counting the number of X-rays they took which was needed to convince them pieces still remained. As a result of all the above, I have switched dentists and would not recommend Dr. Earl for anything but simple cosmetic dentistry. read more

I chose this place because it's close to work, they accept my insurance, and they operate in the 21st century with the ability to confirm and make appointments by email and text and an actual functioning website--something that is surprisingly rare in the medical and dental fields. I've been going for around 5 years and I've never had a complaint. I've never needed major dental work because I take care of my teeth and brush and floss, so maybe my experience would be different if I needed some sort of surgery or filling. But I've gone for cleanings and X-rays twice a year and had a night guard made. I don't spend much time with the dentist and can not comment on her personality (but I DO at least know her name is Dr. Caffey, unlike someone with a negative complaint below). But everyone in the office has always been courteous and been a big help when I needed to change an appointment. And I almost always have the same hygienist who is friendly and efficient when it comes to cleaning my teeth, taking X-Rays, and getting me out and on my way. read more

Friendly staff but they seem to try and book as many patience in a day as possible, leading to waiting up to 20-30 mins after your apt time. My first visit I though the staff was pretty nice but the assistant kept putting the sucking straw on my tongue and I left with little cuts and sores on it. I also got a filling redone & I told the dentist I didn't think I needed the syringe to be numbed since I didn't think it was very deep, considering I've never needed or gotten syringed in the past. After not listening and numbing my gum (painful & unnecessary) she agrees that it wasn't deep. I got a retainer made, I asked multiple time for one with a wire. I had to call a week later to pick up it up & when I got there it was a plastic kind. Later she tells me the one I asked for is called a holly retainer and they don't make those... also this new retainer is so painful to wear. But I don't want to return to this building because I feel unhappy with my last visit. I felt like the dentist doesn't care what the patience says, and the assistant isn't very gentle or friendly. When I was getting the retainer made, I had to cough up extra goop because of the sloppy job she did. Although the lady who did my cleaning was so nice, and answered all my questions, I really liked her. read more

I have gone here since I was a kid (solely because my mom was a patient), but over the years the quality has gone out the door and the prices have gone through the roof. I think it's quite frustrating that every "permanent" crown they have put seems to just "come off". Which in turn is only going to cost me a huge amount of money in addition to what I have already paid to have it "permanently" fixed. Now trust me, I get that sometimes things happen and it's not their fault but in this case I think it's oddly convenient that it's happened to all 3 of my teeth that have had root canals done here. Clearly something in the process is not working? I love the staff and the people here but the more I have shopped around the more I have realized how truly outrageous the prices are at this place. I have taken bids from this dentist to other dentists in the area and they have consistently given me bids that are over 50% cheaper than the one I received from Christy Caffey-Earle Dentistry. If you're not looking to spend an arm and a leg on your teeth, I would recommend using another dentist. read more

They were very nice as soon as i got in the door. They made me feel very comfortable and at home when i went back especiallt since Im 37 and havent been to the dentist since i was 18. The hygentist (sorry i forgot your name) was very patient especially considering my cavities. Dr. Sieber was very nice and polite and helped me with my treatment plan. And eventhough i have to go somewhere else to get my root canals done the lady that helped with that was so patient and kind and im thankful for people like her. I hope to keep coming to this place for a long time and i would recommend it to friends and family. read more

After coming here for nearly 3-4 years, I am done with them! I stayed that long only because my dental hygienist was awesome. But, I was told she left to a different dental office in Coppell due to differences with Dr. Cathy-Earl. (Hmm i wonder why..) I continued to go for cleaning twice after that and getting a filler from Dr. Cathy. Big mistake. First of all, Dr. Cathy is not genuine. She looks and acts like she's too good to be doing her job. She wears clothes that makes you wonder if she is at her work place as a dentist or an outting with the snobs. She talks to her dental hygienist in condescending manner so you feel very uncomfortable propped up on your chair. The filling that I got done (which, isn't that procedure like walk in the park for them?) I had to come in twice to make my sensitivity go away. And let me tell you I could feel the irritation and pretentious-ness exude from her body as she had to "work" on her patient. Next but not least, the front desk ladies. They are short, snappy or flat out cold-rude. You feel their negative energy right away so you never want to even ask how their day is going. Ofcourse they never ask. Today I decided it was long enough that our family has given the business to them so I went by to transfer us out. (They said i had to come into the office to sign a form) As soon as I said to the girl, I'd like to transfer out she asks, moving? I said no and she goes then why? (I was like are you kidding me?) and it just baffled me because she asked all this in such irritated annoyed manner! I just told her because we're going to look for different office. She gave me a form to fill out and when I handed to her she pretended she was doing something on her computer. The girl sitting next to her took the form and asked her does she have to do anything else? She said no and all this is happening right in front of me. Then she takes the form and looks over it. I said is that all? She replies, that's all. Like seriously? Where is the customer service in that? I just wanted to strangle her right then & there! I am SO done with them!! read more

I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because my hygienist was nice and so was the dentist. However, they screwed up mine AND my boyfriends filling. It's been a couple of months and I still can't eat on that side of my mouth and still have pain where I got a filling. My boyfriend went to a different dentist and they told him he will need surgery to fix his. Dentist said he had never seen more sloppy work in his life. So beware when choosing your dentist. They're good for cleaning but anything beyond that go somewhere else. read more

I've been going to this dentist office for years for a reason! I went to get a teeth cleaning today and asked about my options for my bottom teeth, of which some are turning inwards a bit after braces years ago. The dentist cleaning my teeth took the time to explain my options in detail and made sure the front desk knew to have those options prepared by the time I was done with the appointment. At checkout, the desk admin knew my situation enough to recognize that I just got on my own insurance from my dad's, and explained what differences in dental coverage there would/wouldn't be without my asking. I got detailed print-outs of my options/pricing and actually left very pleased with the dentist, which is not something many people can say! read more

That being said the team at the office of Christy Caffey-Earle have always made it right. I dread the thought of finding a new dentist as we move our family to Florida and we have appreciated the professionalism and dedication to customer service from this office. During my last visit I was under some major time constraints, the staff, my hygienist and Dr. Caffey-Earle showed remarkable skill and care to move me through a cleaning and crown replacement in record time. Before moving we used Dr Caffey-Earle for four years. The office was immaculate, the front desk staff, though not always the friendliest, are professional, helpful and capable. It was unusual to have long waits in the waiting room, but if we did, they provide complimentary water, soft drinks and a television. We always had a good experience with Dr Caffey-Earle. Her work was outstanding, she gave you options, rather than just pushing the most expensive treatment, and her prices were good (a LOT less than our previous dentist). The only ding I would give Dr Caffey-Earle is that she doesn't want to spend time explaining things to you. She wants to come in, say some pleasantries, tell you what she's going to do, do it, and leave. When she is finished she gives the assistant some instructions to finish up and then beats it out of the room, never to return. If you can catch her before she gets out of the room, she'll answer your question and immediately turn to the door. If you can catch her again, you can ask her another question; if not, the assistant will have her return for your next question when she's finished with the patient that she's rushed out of the room for. If you need a lot of doctor/patient interaction, you should find another dentist. If you don't need that, then I highly recommend Dr Caffey-Earle. If we moved back to Flower Mound, we would return to Dr Caffey-Earle. read more

My family and I have been going to Caffey-Earle every since they opened their doors. In the last 6 months, the customer service has been appalling. I received a bill for $25 for a "missed visit" for one of my children. I, nor my husband, made the appointment. My husband and I both called and spoke to the billing department. They had a MAJOR attitude, and did not care that we did not make the appointment. They also could not tell us who made the appointment. Every question we had was answered with an "I don't know." The fact that we had four members of our family that have been patients forever, and the fact that we had never cancelled nor been late to an appointment didn't matter. The $25 was owed...and not only that, was a threat to send it to a bill collector was added to it. I do not mind paying $25 when I owe it, however, no one made the appointment. When my husband went into the office to pay the fee and terminate our relationship them, he was told that both kids had appointments this month. WOW! We never made those appointments. Apparently, they automatically set up your childrens dental cleaning appointments without your knowledge. They call to advise you of the appointment on your telephone, and when they receive no response, they charge you for the missed appointment. My husband and I have never scheduled our kid's appointments during school or our work hours. We always need later appointments. BEWARE OF THIS DENTIST. Unfortunately, a good dentist lost four patients today over a $25 descrepancy.....UNREAL. read more

Our Family LOVES Dr. Caffey Earle! We have been patients of hers for years! The office is up to date, clean, and the staff is friendly. I feel like she explains all needed treatment and has given me options when options are available. The office has always billed my insurance and they are usually dead on when they estimate what the insurance will pay. Rarely have I had to wait. It does happen but the staff has always explained the situation to me. I am thankful she and her staff do not rush to finish a patient that is taking longer than expected. Taking time with her patients is one of the things I love about her office. Recently my son had to have his first filling. He is 4 years old and Dr. Christy was amazing with him. I was so thankful she made what can be so scary for kids such a good experience!!!! I forgot to mention that my family actually comes from out of state now! We can not find a doctor her caliber where we live now! I'd say you will be hard pressed to find an office as awesome as this one!!! read more

Bad bad bad dentist/practice. BEWARE! After going to this dentist for a while, it was recommended that I have a previously bonded front tooth re-bonded. When I went in for the procedure, I felt them re-bonding the front tooth that previously had a bad chip. Though I was numb, I felt her start drilling into my other unchipped, organic front tooth that was not damaged. When they finished the work I was in shock as she had shaved down a significant amount of length from both teeth although she was only supposed to repair ONE to make it look BETTER. Not only were the size of my new front teeth horribly wrong, they were also uneven and crooked. They also bonded my teeth with a YELLOW color and I no longer had pretty white teeth. When I got to my car I burst into tears. After this visit I hated my teeth and was very self-conscious for the next 7 years until That awful bonding fell off and I got to have my teeth done right by a qualified dentist. It is safe to say that this dentist ruined my pretty smile. Do not go here for any cosmetic dentistry or any dentistry at all. They are money hungry and their rude staff is no help at all and turn their noses up at you. Would give 0/5 stars if possible. read more

I wouldn't know this dentist if I met her outside the office. I've only seen her twice, and both times was upside down (I was in the chair and she at my head). The office is chronically behind in schedules, and they are so booked you feel like you are in a factory. With the exception of one hygienist, everyone I dealt with was inept (scheduling), abrupt (Dr. E), and irritable. I have some pretty serious anxiety about dentists, and they were completely uncompassionate. They treated me like a freak for wanting the most basic sedation and asking them to numb my tooth before ripping off a crown. I should have bailed, but I paid up front for thousands of dollars worth of work, so I just had to endure it--four visits worth of tears, pain, and people who had no respect for me. They RUINED my tooth and were extremely unhelpful in all future communication of my attempts to fix it. I went in for a small filling for a back tooth that previously had felt perfectly fine. After the filling, my tooth was sore and then it kept aching - for weeks, making chewing anything on that side unbearable. I went back in and all they said they could do was a "take a look at it." After only 5 minutes of face time, they said it would be all fixed. Well, it's been two months, and I still can't chew anything on that side. Another doctor took x-rays and discovered the filling was sloppily done, leaving a piece of the filling hanging down near my gum. I am now having to get the filling replaced by a better DDS (which I'm having to pay for AGAIN, as Caffey won't refund me the charges from their poor work). The new DDS has warned that the tooth damage caused by Caffey's mistake might even require a crown or root canal, all of which I'd have to pay for of course. Do NOT go here. read more
