I never leave reviews but for the experience i had at Titensor dental i just had to! Titensor Dental is amazing from the front desk all the way to examinations and procedures! I've always been hesitant to go to doctors because a lot of them are looking to squeeze as much money out of you as they possibly can but Dr. Brett and his staff were very friendly, professional, and honest. Rochelle is the dental hygienist that took great care of me and she did an excellent job getting me everything i needed and explaining things in detail for me to understand! Titensor Dental is top notch! I had been neglecting my teeth from professionals for some time and my wisdom teeth were causing me server pain now. Looking for a dentist proved to be not so easy for me because of all of the anxiety I had. Listening to WBAP they recommended Titensor. After doing some digging and browsing there website, I made an appointment. From that point forward I was very impressed with the speed, professionalism, cost, and overall comfort they gave me. The Staff is amazing all round. Using the IV sedation was definitely the best route for me! Here I am a week later with no pain and feeling great! Mary my wife lost her molar crown and went to Titensor dental June 2020. It cost $250 for the consultation and x-rays. They tried to sell her on removing all the old fillings for a 5 hr procedure while under sedation. They wanted $750 for the anesthesiology + ($250 every 30 min after) for changing out 4 fillings and replacing the tooth of the failed crown for $20,600. But they could give us a 5% discount if we paid with a cashiers check "up front". They were very aggressive with multiple calls after attempting to get "on the schedule" She then went to a different dentist two days later that told her the crown that fell off was an emergency situation and needed to be removed immediately to avoid infection. When she asked about replacing old fillings, the new guy said that is something that COULD be done (if she wanted) AFTER the bad tooth is removed and healed. But not a priority at all. The failed crown molar was removed for $499. The failed tooth will be replaced with an implant once it all heals up in a few months. We may change out the fillings some day....maybe not.... But definitely no going back to Titensor! read more

Be warned. I was put under and woke up with a $20,000 bill for 6 teeth. And get financing documents shoved at me after. And two of the teeth that were crowned eventually decayed and cracked and had to be pulled later because they weren't prepped properly and decayed under the crown. This Doctor has been reprimanded by his peers at the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Three separate occasions. I only came across this review because I was looking for another dentist to repair his damage. A complete waste of money. Additionally he treated the women in his office VERY shabbily. And I was uncomfortable listening to his mannerisms when he talked to them. read more

This office is so close to my home that I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately they were all about making money and wouldn't stop offering me expensive treatments and braces. Then to top that off, Titensor himself was very offensive with insensitive comments about my eating habits. Understand that while my teeth are not perfect, they are not a mess either. Nor am I overweight. When I brought this up to the front desk, they laughed my irritation off as "I'm sure he was just joking around". Well I will be surprised if yelp leaves this reveiw since they like to hide most reveiws ,but here we go. This place sure is a wolf in sheeps clothing. They love to butter you up and then lie to you. I was quoted $8500 to have two implants. I was told I could pay in three stages. I payed half up front and the other half on a follow up apt. I was then told to complete the procedure it would be another $4500 I payed so now I am up to 13,000. Now I know implants are not cheap, but I was sure led to beleive that the $8500 was going to cover the entire procedure. So after the 2nd stage I called later to ask when I can get my teeth installed and was told oh sorry it will be another 4200 for the actual teeth. When I called them out on it they said well that person dosnt really know the true cost. That happend 3 times with 2 different women both claiming to be office managers. So now I have $13,000 hole in my mouth and NO TEETH!!! Oh yea and do not go here for your annual $700 Free teeth cleaning. I came in for my free teeth cleaning and when I left the gave me a bill for $700 bucks. I was like what is this for I thought this was coverd and they went through a list of things that I was never given an option on. NOTHING AT THIS OFFICE IS COVERD BY ANY INSURANCE!!! Going to this office you have to know u are going to pay a little more and insurance doesn't cover much. Having said that, I have been to numerous dentist over my life time and all their work is subpar compared to the work I have gotten done at this office. I am having 2 dental implants put in and it's not cheap. At the end of the day I know the work they are doing is awesome and lifelong. I had 2 teeth extracted as a result of previous poor dental work that had been done elsewhere. Easiest experience and hardly any pain. The doctor even called the night after the surgery to see how I was doing and let me know to feel free to call his personal cell if I needed anything. Really? I saw Dr Titensor for my first visit. First, they schedule 90 minutes so they can get to know you and all the x-rays etc for your teeth. That was nice to not feel rushed. Paige, at the front desk, was informative and friendly. Danielle (dental assistant?) had a great sense of humor and my hygienist, Rachel, was very thorough and let me know exactly what she was doing. They were both very welcoming. And I have to give praises to both Shelby and Dr Brett for helping me get through the impressions made for my teeth with ease. Horrible experience! I have gone there twice, both times the hygienist tried giving me fluoride treatments without asking me first if I wanted them. ADULTS DO NOT NEED THEM. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 NEED THEM. They are NOT covered by insurance so it is an extra $30 out of your pocket and into theirs! They are all about selling repeat business and add-ons. The repeat business will happen if you do not take advantage of your patients ... they need to learn that lesson. read more

Dr. Titensor's office is very professional with a small town feel. Everyone is friendly and attentive to your needs. Kathy is one of the very best dental hygienist I have every had. She is very thorough. After every cleaning, the doctor always see you. I have been to some offices where I never see the doctor after the first visit. I did the invisalign and was very happy with my results. I did not realize how much I needed it until I saw the before and after pictures. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The fact that the office is conveniently located and I saw an ad in a magazine lured me into the office with admittedly high expectations -- after all, the office boasts the latest in all technology and sedation. Their services are REMARKABLY overpriced, their offices NOT equipped with the latest and greatest of dental medicine, and what's worse -- they're upsellers. "You can have this filling done ($350) but REALLY you should get a crown ($900)." -- a second opinion revealed that a crown was not even remotely necessary -- just a more expensive solution to a simple cavity. The cost of my visit was $500 without ANY cleaning or fillings. If I had gone just one block south to another office, the same visit would have been, at most, $150. My second-opinion visit with a different dentist had me leave the office for $500... ALL fillings done PLUS a cleaning. What's more, the cheaper, second-opinion dentist had bells and whistles lacking in Titensor's office! I couldn't believe how much nicer the cheaper dentist was -- or, more accurately, I couldn't believe how terrible Titensor's was for what they charged. Beyond all that, after being told I needed $3000 worth of treatment (to which I said no, absolutely not), I received repeated calls that felt an awful lot like sales calls, asking me to come back in for more treatment. Still, I'm not a completely unreasonable person, and I know dentists are for-profit practices. I was happy to just let the whole thing go, lesson learned, and put it behind me. The only reason I am now writing this review is because after 5 months, I received a bill in the mail for over double what I had already paid IN OFFICE, and when I called to inquire, they explained that the procedure they did (a plaque-specific not-cleaning) which was "absolutely required" was not as covered by insurance as they expected. Oopsy! I can't believe I spent this much money to have essentially nothing done. If you have a spare $500 sitting around for a cleaning, Titensor's the place. read more

I was recommended by a few people and went ahead to make my appointment. I was impressed as making an appointment was too good to be true they got me in within the week, In fact in 2 days. Of course the case I went there for and my initial concern was a side factor because they talked me into getting additional cosmetic work for the perfect smile and would need to take X-rays and impressions. I agreed since my insurance covered it and under my deductible. When I checked out I was asked to pay $150 consultation fee. When I asked they said that they have to take upfront costs and once insurance covers it they will refund it. Long story short my insurance did cover it, when I called my insurance company they clearly told me that I shouldn't have ever paid anything and they should have billed them. Not only did they get my insurance to pay but me also. The sad part was when addressed about this they were defensive and of course I never got my money back as it could go towards out of pocket etc etc. It's disappointing that these are the people that give other professionals in the business a bad name. Do yourself a favor and go to another dentist. They will keep adding in $$$$ for that "perfect smile!" read more

Dr. Titensor provides top-notch dental work in an extremely comfortable and pro-patient setting. I started coming to his office years ago, and even though I've now moved out of state, I made it a point to come back to his office for my most recent cleaning and wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Titensor and his staff are that good! I've had some bad experiences with dentists before, but Dr. Titensor and everyone in his office -- from secretaries to billing representatives to hygienists -- are very approachable and provide one-on-one patient service. I was impressed that the first thing the hygienist talked to me about at the beginning of my appointment was the concerns I had written on my patient intake form. Dr. Titensor uses up-to-date technology in his office and offers cosmetic work as well. Getting my wisdom teeth taken out was, strange as it might sound, a fantastic experience -- I was completely taken care of, and the oral sedation that Dr. Titensor recommended worked like a dream. I wish I could make it to Texas for every dentist visit! If you dread going to the dentist or simply want extra-attentive care, it's worth making a long trip to see Dr. Titensor. read more

I went to this dentist and would not recommend him to anyone. I needed a root canal & scheduled one for 1 month out since my tooth was not bothering me yet & I needed to give them $1100 down before they would even start (& this is with full insurance) . Within 2wks my tooth became very infected & extremely painful. I called to ask for a painkiller while I waited the remaining 2 weeks but was told no. The dr wouldn't give me one cause the 'infection was deep & it wouldn't help' I asked for a stronger antibiotic since I was on a mild one & was also told no. He said 'If it hurts that bad then come in sooner'. I explained that I wouldn't have the $1100 dollars for another week & was told I would have to 'tough it out'. Unbelievable. My face swelled, the infection spread & I had to go to my primary care dr for a stronger antibiotic to get me through till my appt. My primary care dr said to 'find a different dentist right away'. I did. They took care of me for half the price, gave me another antibiotic because by now my whole face was swollen. Don't go here. I have never been treated so callously by a dr before. He acted like I was a drug addict trying to get a fix & all you needed to do was look at me to see that I had a major infection & was in considerable pain. As always I had a really warm welcome and received an expert high tech experience at Titensor Dental. Dr Brett and Marissa did a great job making me feel at ease when I came in for my crown. First Marissa took me back promptly and got me set up in the dental chair with a pillow for my head/ neck and turned the TV to my favorite channel! Next Dr Brett cleaned and prepped my tooth to get ready for the digital scan. Numbing of the gum and tooth are involved but he handled expertly with little discomfort. After prepping, color matching, and the digital scanning, I got the chance to watch my crown being made on the high tech 3D crown maker (3D printer) and it only took 15 minutes to make. The crown fit beautifully with some adjustment for bite and I was out the door in 1.5 hours. Amazing! Spending the additional dollars for a perfectly fit crown is worth the investment in your long term health and saves you money and time in the long run. Plus watching the 3D printing process is really cool! read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Titensor for about 2 years and have been very happy with the treatment we've received. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. While definitely more expensive than dentists we've been to before, this practice is also the most technologically up-to-date I've seen. They stress a comprehensive approach to dental care, including braces. I thought this was just an upsell at first, too, but it's true that many dental problems could be fixed with proper alignment of the teeth. I have problems with my bite, causing me to grind and damage my teeth, but braces are not an option for me right now so they helped me find a less expensive treatment. (My previous dentist just told me not to brush so hard, and when I came to Dr. Titensor, the cracks in my teeth were so deep they had to be filled.) Bottom line: expensive, but worth it. We've never had better dental care. read more

i had previously trusted dr. titensor, but i am so disappointed and now i cannot trust him, so much that i walked away from $10,000 i had given him for services that i have not received. i did, in fact ask for a refund but he will not even compromise and had a bad attitude and was angry with me because he disagreed with what i wanted cosmetically. wow!!i lets list some of my issues: 1. there was a huge upsell on minimal prep veneers. 2. there was a huge upsell on getting a deprogrammer. what a waste. 2. i was told that i needed 9 veneers and 1 crown on my top teeth. logan(billing manager) quoted a price of $1800/tooth and said that they would be covered for 5 years. what she didn't tell me was that it was covered for 5 years if i paid another $1000 ($100/tooth). also they charged me $1900 for the crown. wow, that's double the price from any other dentist.. 2. i felt that i had to deal with logan, the billing manager on the entire veneer process. dr. titensor was out a lot. he did talk with me some but mostly i had to deal with her. i got into an argument with the logan once because she had a smug attitude about how my teeth looked better when the temporary veneers were placed. i never thought my teeth were ugly and that it didn't matter what she thought (but what a way to make someone feel less confident). i chose a natural shade for the temps and she suggested i go lighter and i firmly said "no." i was also upset about the shape but they did fix the shape on the temps and they looked much better. 3. i received in-office whitening in november 2014 and it was minimally improved. i was not bleached to my maximal tolerance so i didn't see much change. keep in mind that dr. t charges almost double for this procedure compared to other dentists. 4. i wore temp veneers on my top teeth for nearly 2 months and they told me to continue whitening the bottom teeth at home. i was compliant and avoided dark foods, drinks. i came to the office on several occasions and expressed my concern that the teeth were not getting whiter because they suggested that i get my top veneers in a bleached shade. my bottom teeth never seemed to match the bleached shades . i was told that no one sees my bottom teeth. i disagreed and said i do show them and that i didn't want a huge difference between the top veneers and my natural teeth on bottom but they would not listen and disagreed. wow! 4. i called the office d told them i needed to speak with the hygenist and specifically asked not to speak with logan, as she interferes. i met with the hygenist to discuss my concerns with the veneer shade because my lower teeth were not getting white enough for the bleached veneer shade that logan was pushing. logan walked in while we were discussing how i liked the natural shade of my temp veneers and that they matched my bottom teeth. logan disagreed. i told her that i wanted them to be the shade of my bottom teeth and asked if the lab guy had the shade of my bottom teeth. she insistently said yes he had everything. i also had told her a couple weeks earlier to keep the veneer shape the same as the originals and that dr. t could shape them as he did the temps 5. my permanent veneers arrived. they had changed the shape and logan had ordered the bleached veneers. i never had a confirmation or discussion with dr titensor on this before they ordered them. my wants were totally lost in translation. i am sure no one ever told dr t that i was having issues with her 6. they had placed a temp crown. since i left before this was completed and have not received any compensation, i am now getting this completed by another dentist. he had to fix the gums due to it being pinched by the temp crown placed by dr. t's dental assistant. also my new dentist had to bulid up the tooth because dr. t left nothing for the crown to hold onto. therfore, my temp kept falling off and most certainly i would have had problems with the permanent crown that i paid dr. t $1900 to do. wow! 7. i had my right wisdom teeth pulled by dr. t. a week later i was in his office and said that only the bottom area continued to hurt and i asked that he chech a flap of skin that i was feeling. he took a quick look without probing and said it looked great. the next day i felt around at the flap that i though was skin and i pulled out a foreign material that was not food. it was a strip of material with perfect edges. no wonder i had pain. i'm so glad i didn't get an infection. 8. when i was disappointed by the color difference between the top veneers and my botom teeth dr. t seemed frustrated and then had his son come in. dr. t had said my home whitening wasn't working because i had plaque buldup. so, he had the hygenist clean my teeth and then told them to do in-office whitening "27 times if you have to." well, that tells me that he did notice what i was telling the staff for 2 months. 9. now they want me to whiten every month for 10-20 year read more
