We walked in on a quiet afternoon. A cute, clean poke spot. Service was fast and friendly (there was no waiting in line). I chose spicy tuna and spicy salmon for my proteins. These were pretty large chunks of fish which I was very happy about. Overall a great poke bowl and a nice quiet lunch spot. read more

Food and staff great, limited seating and decor. One of the better poke bowls in the area.

No joke, this is the best Poke Bowl I have found anywhere snd I eat Poke a lot. Generous porions, fresh ingtedients, great flovers. Best Soicy Salmon and Tuna I have ever had! read more

Food was yummy! The Poke is very fresh. My husband made his own and I got the Smilefin roll. I think the poke was better.

Love this place! I get an ahi tuna poke bowl weekly!! It's clean, plenty of fresh choices for customizing the poke bowl and reasonably priced. Love love love it! read more

My family and I have been coming here for long enough that I feel obligated to express my appreciation. The service is consistently very pleasant and the ingredients are very fresh. If I'm being honest, this review is very selfish because my only concern is that not enough people know about this place. Very few customers during most of my visits, but every single one of my couple dozen visits have been fantastic. Truly a great spot that I hope becomes a staple of the UTC area! read more

Don't order on Monday's. Yelp shows them as open and let's you place an order but they're not open on Monday's.

Good poke (and a little sushi) -- nice ingredients, clean shop, friendly staff. Definitely focused on the now-popular mainland version rather than the more Hawaiian form (with ono seaweed, more marinades, etc). -- probably healthier and very tasty, but I do miss the Hawaiian type. You can choose from some preselected combinations or build your own. read more

After a long morning of physical labor, Smilefinpoke left me with a smile on my face even though I was hangry from waiting until 3 p.m. to eat lunch. I think what hit the spot most for me is the solid, fresh, and flavorful fish. While other places may have millions of toppings or larger portions, I'd rather stick with some serious flavor. Having the option of sushi rice was also wonderful! Really great portion and great deal for a quiet lunch, I'd definitely come back when I'm back in Sarasota! read more

This poké spot is so good! The fish is so fresh and the tuna is very pink. You can choose from their signature bowls or build your own which is awesome if you want more or less of what the signature bowls offer. I went with the Ocean Fest bowl and it was delicious! You get shrimp, tuna & salmon for $13.95. The signature bowls are a better deal because they are good portions for less than if you made your own. It looked so good when we sat down I didn't get the best picture because we started eating so fast! The seating area is super chill for dining in and the staff were wearing gloves and masks. Will definitely be back for this fresh yummy poké. read more

Stopped by for a Create Your Own Bowl to take it to go. I had the sushi rice as my base along with pepper tuna, krab stick, pineapple, avocado, sweet onion, corn, carrot, sweet soy sauce, yuzu sauce, and crispy onions...definitely one of the better poke bowls I've had around here. Compared to other restaurants that serve poke bowls around the SRQ area, they give you a very healthy amount for the price and the ingredients taste very fresh. Definitely going to return to try out some of the hibachi (which looked very promising) and sushi! Staff was very prompt and friendly. read more

Trying to find a late night option we wandered in here. You can chose proteins, toppings sauces and crunchy toppings. I wish I could have tried the sauce before having it applied all over my bowl. I had the tofu and it was just totally plain unnarinated tofu. Wish it had been pressed or.grilled or fried first. My husband's tuna bowl was a lot better. It was our first.tine there and it would have been great of the staff explained how it worked, what was extra (avocado and seaweed salad, for example). . read more

Amazing food, fresh and so tasty. Best poke I tried in Sarasota! I'm surprised it's not packed.

Ordered through Uber Eats, very quick delivery. I ordered a custom bowl and overall thought it was good, the ingredients were fresh and I like that you can customize everything. I did find that all of the ponzu/sauces sunk to the bottom of the bowl. The Kani salad which sat on a bed of greens and cucumber was swimming in so much Mayo I didn't end up eating most of it but would definitely come back for the Poke. read more

Poke bowls are amazing. I love making them myself at home but since we recently moved we've been eating out a lot. This place was cute with a lot of offerings and toppings. They do more than just poke bowls with some hot fresh food options as well. Be wary of the up charges for things like avocado and crab stick. Everything tasted great. Next time I will for sure ask for extra mango since there was barley any. Pineapple looked as if it came from a can which was my one huge complaint. Everything else though was super fresh and delicious. Shrimp was so tasty! Def try this place if you love sushi! read more

Simple, fresh, and delicious. I had a build your own, on greens, with spicy tuna and spicy salmon. Avocado rounded it out beautifully, and shredded kanikama added a nice sweetness. Sprinkled some tempura and sesame seeds for even richer flavor and it was perfect. He had a #5 Ocean Feast and it was just as fresh and delicious. We shared a bowl of miso to soothe the jalapeno burn and it, unsurprisingly, was also good. Definitely putting this little spot on the rotation. **as for the reviewer complaining of the apparently once frozen tuna.. all raw fish, per fda regulations, must be frozen first. You'll need to go underground or across borders if you want it fresher ;) ** read more

Smilefinpoke - Build you own bowl with salon and tuna and everything else! - Poke Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

Smilefinpoke is a great new addition to the area. Eating Paleo / AIP (which means gluten, dairy, nightshade, grain, and sugar free), I'm always looking for build-your-own bowl style places like this because it's usually an option I can make work with my restrictions. For your base you choose a rice or greens, then there are tons of veggies to choose from, protiens, and sauces/specialty toppings. Pros: ingredients were great quality, especially the fish, and the portion was generous for the price. They offered marinated traditional poke, as well as plain raw tuna and salmon, and vegetarian tofu. The place is brand new, clean, and quiet. Cons: the salad greens were wilted when I was in. Edible, but less than perfectly fresh. The sauce options all contained ingredients I couldn't have, and normally in these situations I'd just use tamari or coconut aminos, but they didn't have either. The small addition of these options would make a huge difference for dietary-restricted eaters like myself! I will be back when I'm working in the area, and hope they see this and get some condiments to make it work for me read more

So freaking good. It's rare to find a Poke place is Bradenton/Sarasota and this one doesn't disappoint. Fresh fish and awesome portions for the price. read more

I try to remember to go here every time I'm in Bradington because it is simply the best hibachi you'll ever have. I know it's weird to say because it's a Poké bowl restaurant but their hibachi is out of this world. I've only had the steak hibachi but I'm sure the chicken is good too. most places I've been to, they usually put very thin/tough pieces of meat in their steak hibachi, but this place must use New York strip or something, unless the guy really knows how to cook sirloin but....sooo tinder!. It puts actual hibachi restaurants to shame. If they only did hibachi hands-down the best lunch joint in town. read more

Absolutely lovely! The food was great my 7-year-old daughter had number 1 Crazy Tuna it had cucumber seaweed rice she loved it I had the coconut shrimp it was so refreshing with pineapple and edamame and my hubby had ocean feast num. 5 had 3 proteins and ordered a Miso soup it was great and the bowls were full to the top really good. read more

I tried this place over a few months and wanted to wait before giving a review. I've been living in Bradenton for a few years now, and had yet to find a poke place that I liked. My husband and I had a craving for it so we decided to take a chance on this place...and it did not disappoint! First we tried the oceans feast, spicy tuna, and smile fin bowls. All were good but the oceans feast won by a mile! The fish was fresh and portions are great and fair for the price. For appetizers we regularly get the seaweed salad, but have also tried the shrimp Shumai, pepper tuna(amazing) and some crab salad (which was my least favorite but it was okay). We also got a shrimp hibachi. Portion size was great. Lots of veggies. I think it would be better to eat fresh though, not bring home. Now sushi. I honestly wish they had more options, because the one roll of sushi I got/get is delicious - smile fin roll with no avocado. Thank me later. It def isn't an "every day" meal as it can get pricey, but it is well worth it when you're craving! read more

This is a place which works just like chipotle , as your choice of rice, veggies, protein, sauce, toppings you will get a very tasty pokebowl, if you feel like too hard to choose what you want from so many options you can pick one from their signature bowl, and they also have hibachi grill , can't tell you how much I like their yummy food, my sincerely recommendation to you guys, try it, love it read more

This place is "off the hook" great! Just like everyone else has mentioned, it is a "Chipotle" style setup, for sushi lovers. Build your own, or go with one of their choices on the menu. And there is a hibachi grill to add to the fun. I decided on the Ocean Feast with brown rice. The flavors were outstanding and there was plenty of food in the bowl so that you would not leave feeling hungry. The only really mild issue I had is the amount of spice that was provided. I was hoping for something a little hotter than what was provided. But the flavors certainly made up for it. The location is actually not that bad; there seems to be enough parking even though it is located in a strip of other retail shops and restaurants. The one other thing I noticed is there seems to be a huge takeout clientele. There is seating inside for maybe 30 people, and it was never crowded inside. In my opinion, this place is going to be a HUGE success. read more
