Smile Thai Wellness provided me with a reinvigorating massage the other day. First off great location on Robson street and not far for sporting venues. Upon reviewing several types of massage options I telephoned in and made a reservation. Very flexible on the reservations so I was able to book based on my time frame, a huge plus. So I arrived and completed a small work sheet regarding health stuff. A nice young lady showed me to waiting room and gave me some flip flops to walk around in. Moments later was escorted to a room to begin my spa treatment. Let the wellness begin. Started off face down and she preformed the ancient art of massage. I went into a trance due to the relaxation of my body but at some point the masseuse had gotten onto the table and was on my back massaging. Felt great and was legit, just have never had a person climb up before. Now I book a 90 minute or 2 hr massage so from scalp to feet she penetrated muscle points that needed worked up... At the end she shared our time was done and if I desired to go to the tea room it was down that hallway. I'd say she was amazing cause I felt great. Hopefully you'll come and experience the power of the masseuse and her magical healing hands.

Having ginger tea in the serenity room while I wait

My 2nd tine here and not the last. I had been traveling from San Francisco to Central America to Toronto then here to Vancouver. I was so much in need of a good massage. My therapist Gem was excellent, she hit my pain points and worked on them from my neck, shoulders and back. I felt rejuvenated the next day and allowed me to get back to the grind with full force. This was very much needed and appreciate Gem. Until next time.

Yod was amazing and helped a lot with tension on one side of my neck due to constant pain from a nerve injury caused by a dentist. I have come here many times with my sibs who are often looking for great foot or back massage therapy especially after spending all day walking or working. They don't seem to have foot massage so we go elsewhere for that but they do offer other massage therapy. As you walk in you smell the ginger and jasmine filled air and are instantly calmed by the quiet backdrop of Thai music and various statues and art in the lobby /entrance area. After your treatment you can relax in the middle area drinking peppermint or ginger tea and listening to calming music. The rooms are private and clean and neither overly lit nor too dark.

Relaxed. Revitalized. Wonderful experience here. My husband and I got a couples massage gift certificate from our boys this past Christmas. It was one of the best we had ever. Lily and Mia were our masseuse and they were very professional and mindful. I usually come out of massages regretting why I even do it because I feel like I'm bruised all over the next day from the constant kneading. But this is totally different. Place is clean and smells of aroma oils. This alone relaxed me right when I walked in. I highly recommend this place.

The uniform they give you to wear for your service

If you love Thai massages, this is the best one in the city imo. It's conveniently located and the spa itself is beautiful. Their prices are fair and the practitioners are kind, warm, welcoming and highly skilled. They work out pops and cracks I never knew were there. The massage "uniforms" they give you to wear for your session are always clean, soft and comfy, same with the sandals. They also have a beautiful and relaxing lounge with a selection of teas to rest after your massage. They have solo and couples rooms as well, and have always been receptive to requests as far as more or less pressure, in my experience. I've brought several friends here and they've quickly become dedicated lovers of the Thai yoga massage. I believe they also have an option for western style massage but I've never tried it because I'm so obsessed with their Thai massage. If I could give them more than 5 stars I definitely would.

The whole lock down and working from home took a toll on me and I desperately need a good massage. But getting massage during this time worried me a bit. After checking with several place, I found Smile Thai Wellness. They seem to be very careful as checking every customer's temporature before entering. Everyone has to wear mask the whole time. Set that aside, the massage itself is a great introduction for me to Thai's massage. During the massage they keep checking if the pressure is good or if you wanna adjust. All in all I would definitely come back.

My partner and I had an incredible experience at this spa! I've got massages before, but this is my first time trying the Thai massage. They provide a cotton top and a bottom for your Thai massage. Siri was my masseuse, her expertise in acupressure helped ease my tight neck and shoulder muscles. The stretching techniques of the therapy improved my range of motion. My partner was relaxed after getting a deep tissue massage with Chia. What stood out for me is they serve tea and let you relax in the palm room after the massages. It is a perfect moment to soak in the benefits of the treatments with hydration and feel your body centering and aligning. One another thing is the traditional decor of the spa is charming and sets the mood for relaxation and bliss. The massage room and bed were comforting and pristine. I shall come back here again when I visit Vancouver next time.

Ginger tea to start the signature lotus

Highly recommend !! I booked here for my bf's birthday and it was no trouble at all. I originally emailed the spa and they responded fairly quickly. Since I needed to make a reservation and wasn't going to be there until 2 weeks later, I decided to book online through their website. It did require an additional step but 100% worth it. In order to book online, you would have to purchase a gift card for the specific massage / spa service and then email them with the gift card certificate. All you have to do is wait for them to process it and a confirmation email will be sent and you're pretty much all set. We arrived 15 minutes earlier to ensure we weren't late and they sat us down with some ginger tea and forms to fill out. After about 5 minutes, we were escorted to the washrooms and then our rooms. The room itself had a shower room so it's very private. I had the Signature Lotus Package which consisted of body scrub, full body massage and facial for about 3.5 hours. It was amazing ! After we were done, we were escorted to the lounge area where you can relax and enjoy some tea and fruit platter. Highly recommend !

My boyfriend said the Thai massage changed his life. In my opinion, it was like an assisted stretch session, but I don't mind that (though I didn't enjoy it as much as my boyfriend). The massage therapists were really sweet. You also wear this cool, comfy outfit! It was definitely the highlight of our Vancouver trip. The tea after the massage was really nice.

Massage room was very relaxing. I didn't want to leave lol

This is magnificent place for massage, quiet, peaceful, very friendly and accommodating, and all therapists assure you are comfortable with the pressure. Most of our go-to spots were already fully booked for the weekend, so we were open to trying somewhere new. There is a parking garage directly beneath the massage studio, but be aware of nearby events, especially at Rogers Arena. We ended up paying a steep flat rate of $50 for all-day parking because of an event, so I recommend allowing extra time to find more affordable options if you're visiting on a busy day. The space itself is fairly small. As you walk in, there is a station for foot massages on the right, and a couple small private rooms toward the back. We were shown to one of those private rooms for our session. My husband and I both enjoy deep tissue massages with strong pressure, and this place delivered. The massage was excellent. In fact, it was one of the best we've had. The pressure was exactly what we were looking for (we like "it hurts so good" pressure), and the price was incredibly reasonable. We were glad we brought cash for tipping, as the credit card system didn't include a tip option. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot for a deep tissue massage. The value was fantastic, and we were really impressed with the experience. $314 for a 90-minute couples massage felt like a great deal, especially for the level of care we received.

The spa feels smaller than those in other of the big chain hotels in Vancouver, which at first I was underwhelmed by, but by the end, actually liked that so few people, as I hardly saw anyone outside of the staff, so you really felt like you had the spa to yourself! They had a quiet lounge to sit before/after treatments, with a small amount of snacks (fruit, nuts, tea and infused water). The treatment itself was amazing, my spa technician was Rachel, and couldn't recommend her more, absolutely lovely, always checking in throughout the treatment, and felt so relaxed/at ease the whole time. I did find the prices a little steep, but honestly, the whole thing felt luxurious and will be back for another body wrap! I will note, you also had access to few valet parking, full gym, swimming pool and sauna with any visit, but I did not utilize any of those services.

Once I had changed, I was shown to the Relaxation Lounge where I was given a hot beverage made with black and green tea, raw honey, vanilla and spices. It smelled amazing and I am pretty sure I finished it all in one gulp! I was also given a hot hand towel that had been soaked in essential oils which I need to start doing at home because it was so soothing! The Rejuvenate Infusion Facial is an oxygen facial, which is a non-invasive facial where oxygen is delivered directly to the skin via compressed air. This was my first time getting an oxygen facial so I had no idea what to expect. Marisa, my spa therapist, for the morning warned me that I would feel cold, but that it was oddly soothing. In addition to oxygen, an intensely hydrating Intraceuticals serum, containing low molecular weight HA, would also be delivered to the skin. The actual delivery device looks like an airbrush pen with a little well on top for the serum to sit in. Marisa started by double cleansing with a Clarisonic which was very interesting to me as this was definitely something I have never seen in a spa environment before! As a bonus add-on, I also had on my face the Intraceuticals Rejuvenate Eye and Lip Masks which are filled with hydrolyzed collagen. After a few extractions, the actual oxygen part began! It basically felt like cold air being blown onto my face and while it began as a funny sensation, I felt myself relax as Marisa did every inch of my face. After doing half of my face, she asked me if I felt a difference and truth be told, I didn't really feel a difference until she gently flicked my cheeks and right away, the side with the infusion bounced back like one of those vending machine bouncy balls! The side without the treatment may as well have belonged to a corpse by comparison. The effects were IMMEDIATE! The actual experience at Sense Spa was wonderful though and I now have my eye on the Canadian Maple Pedicure! I think the next time I definitely want to take a friend because I was kind of lonely in the Relaxation Lounge. If you feel like indulging yourself a little, book an appointment with the lovely ladies at Sense Spa!

I knew I would be super antsy if I added in a soak and a massage as it's just too exhausting to spend that much time in one area. What we really enjoyed like all Shangri La franchises is how the layout is very similar in every country. I really could be in Guangzhou or Tokyo. I was first introduced to this hotel chain over decade ago and the touches of it's signature hotel fragrance and linen is unparalleled. Pros I knew it was a beautiful intimate private space. Super relaxing city escape. Cons We had pool access (not from the spa package) and other amenities, as the location was super central with tall buildings surrounded, the feeling of being exposed is real (compared to Willow Stream Spa or even Westin Bayshore). The massage itself was "ok" and relaxing. I liked the option of the CBD oil. The hair mask, I would pass. Come for an intimate relaxing escape. Don't expect your muscle knots to be gone.

Once you arrive, it is basically a shipping container that's been repurposed into a spa. There's a code you have to enter that's included in the welcome email. The staff greeted me and my partner warmly, and we were led to watch a 5 min instruction video. They explain the best way to use the spa pod - which includes a washroom/change area, shower, hot tub, hot rocks, cold tub, and sauna room. The spa pod section is actually outdoors, so there is no roof. It made for a cool experience as it was raining in November. I admit it got quite cold for me as the rain hit, but the hot tub was a nice haven. The washroom and shower section had towels and products for you to use, but I strongly advise that the product ingredients should be listed or provided somewhere in case anyone has allergies. I think that the products should all be unscented as well, to be safe for everyone. There was also no face wash, so I had to end up using the body soap on my face. My favourite section was the sauna with pink Himalayan salt rock walls. It was a hot sauna with light and air programming, to slowly dim lights overtime with music, until pitch black. This felt quite meditative and restorative. The lights slowly come back on after a while. There was also a hydration station, with hot and cold water taps, and peppermint tea provided for you. Nice touch! I don't know that I would visit again, if I had to pay for this experience, as I personally prefer a massage portion for full relaxation. It is also quite pricey for a 2 hour session. Nonetheless, this was a unique experience for me!
