I was very hesitant to get my teeth cleaned during the pandemic / safer at home, but Smile Solutions made me feel very comfortable during my entire visit! Appointments are required, and they texted me with safety measures to take before coming in (call or text them upon arrival, masks and gloves required, and to only come in when they let me know when they're ready). Upon arrival, they had a contactless temperature check, screening process, and made me clean my mouth with mouthwash before seeing the doctor. They also gave me a protected baggy for my mask. New patient. Chose them because it's near my home. I needed a clearance for surgery. First appt they took xrays and they told I needed some work done before I could get a clearance. But before I could get that done, I would need to see a hygienist. I went to get an appointment for that, and I was told earliest they could see me was a date in June, just to get my teeth cleaned. After I thought about this and how long it would take my wife called them and asked to get my xrays so I could find another dentist they told us they would see me sooner. That appointment was for today, we even called 2 days before to confirm the appointment and it was confirmed over the phone. Today I went for the appointment, and I was told it was cancelled because I never confirmed. At his point I got my xrays and will find another dentist that will see me in a more timely matter and not prolong the process. read more

It is easy to call and make an appointment, and they will remind you the day before of your scheduled appointment which is really nice. It is really clean inside and everyone is so friendly. I've been coming to Smile Solutions for the past few years for my regular cleaning, and I've always been impressed with the service provided here. I had delayed coming for the past few months because I was concerned about COVID-19, but after my most recent cleaning today I wish I had come sooner! I felt comfortable the whole time as they had implemented so many safety protocols - calling to let the staff know you've arrived, getting temperature checked, and making sure I had no symptoms all before heading in the room. All of this was done extremely efficiently as well, within just a couple of minutes. When I went in the room for my cleaning, the staff (Edina) was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions patiently and helped me feel a lot more reassured about any concerns I had about my teeth. She also did a fantastic job of cleaning - my teeth are now sparkling white and free of the coffee stains I had built up over the past few months of quarantine! And as always, every appointment ends with a little goodie bag of toothpaste, floss, and a toothbrush, which is super handy to have in the house and to use when traveling. I have nothing but positive words to say for Dr. Liu and his staff - clean office, fantastic service, and safe procedures during COVID. Impressive. This place is unlike the other dental offices that I've been to. My family and I've been jumping from dentist to dentist, trying to find one that was legit, as in they weren't just trying to take your money and that they actually cared. We decided to try this one out after my father saw a commercial for it on an Asian television channel. The interior was simplistic and modern. The overall color scheme was white, which made the place seem very clean and professional. It actually felt like you were walking into a legit medical office, which it was. The assistants/ workers were very polite and friendly! I went in for a regular cleaning and I was very impressed with the dental assistant. She took her time cleaning each individual tooth and she went through all me teeth again to make sure it was super clean. I've never had that much attention in teeth cleaning before! Not to mention she was gentle as well! She also was very knowledgeable; she identified and explained what I was doing wrong with my daily routine. I felt like I was well taken care of. Dr. Liu was also very professional. Never have I had a dentist check to see if I had issues with my jaw socket. He was concerned if there was clicking when I move my jaw, but there wasn't so I'm fine! He went along with the usual procedures and, similar to the assistant, he took time catering to each individual tooth. There was no rush or urgency. I am pretty new to Smile solutions, as I hadn't had a visit to the dentist in probably 10 years. I'm not a huge fan of drills in my mouth! However, I was having tooth pain which required a root canal and a friend referred me to Smile Solutions. I have been apprehensive about dental visits since my teens when I had a very painful experience with an old dentist, but my friend assured me that Dr. Liu would be very gentle with me. From the moment I made the appointment I was impressed by the attentiveness of the staff. When I received a text confirming my appointment and with instructions on what to do when I arrived on the scheduled day, I thought it was automated, or A.I. Once I responded to the text I was promptly met with a very unmistakably human response. Dani, who texted me, was super prompt with her replies and very polite. In these days of automated answering services, robo calls and robo texts, it was nice to be communicating with a very nice human being! On the day of my appointment I was greeted very nicely by Dani, screened for covid and had no wait at all after I completed my paperwork. Once in the chair I was greeted by Mari, the Hygienist, she was very informative, explaining a lot about the benefits of regular cleanings, and regular flossing! She was friendly, efficient, and most of all, gentle when cleaning my teeth. That's exactly what I needed! Once she was done, Dr. Liu greeted me warmly, and got right to work. I barely felt the shots, and once numb he told me 'If you feel any discomfort whatsoever, please let me know" I nodded "ok". During the procedure he stopped several times to ask me if I was doing ok, and honestly, I had no complaints. I had heard such horror stories about root canals, that in Dr. Liu's care, I was like "what's the big deal?". It was painless! Just what the doctor ordered. After I came out of the chair I went to the front desk where Joyce explained to me all of my coverage, what my cost would be and went over future costs for cavities that were found while working on me. She suggested a timeline that would allow for my insurance to cover most of the cost, rather than just scheduling me asap and having me pay out of pocket for what my insurance didn't cover for the rest of this year. I was so very thankful. She was very thoughtful to me and my pocketbook. I've been back since...just this afternoon, and my experience was again, top notch. I have been going to Dr. Lui for almost two years now. The office is always clean and tidy. I would say he is very professional and also knowledgeable in his field. 10 years ago, he did a great job for my mom's implant and her teeth are still strong at the age of 74 because of his outstanding work. After losing two teeth in a biking accident, I was feeling depressed. I talked to various family members who have had tooth implants for their recommendation of a competent oral surgeon. I ended my search with Aimin Liu D.D.S. at Smile Solutions. In our 30 minute session, Dr. Liu answered all of my questions and put all my doubts to rest. He laid out the treatment plan in detail and his super staff made sure I was well informed of my appointments. Since I lived quite far from their Pleasanton office, they were accommodating with their Saturday appoints. For the few times that I had to commute into their office via BART, their staff actually came and picked me up at the BART Station. Just great service. I delayed my review posting because I wanted to give you my honest opinion of the work done. It's been over 4 months since completion and all I can say is that it was well worth the time and money spent with Smile Solutions. Dr. Liu did an excellent job of matching up the color of my implants to my actual teeth. There is no way to tell the difference. They feel solid and natural now. Haven't had any issues at all. Dr. Liu and the entire staff are very professional and nice. Joyce and the rest of the front desk staff are welcoming and helped me answer any dental insurance or procedure questions I had. Edina, the dental hygienist, is genuine and caring and made sure I was comfortable during the cleaning procedure. I have sensitive teeth, so she is extra gentle around those areas during cleaning. Going to the dentist during the Covid pandemic is definitely nerve wracking, but Dr. Liu and the staff here was very friendly and made sure to be very accommodating. They managed to squeeze us in the schedule even though we called a little late for an appointment. My family and I were seen one after another in the same room, and the staff always asked if we were comfortable or if anything hurt. In regards to Covid protocols, everyone wore their masks and face shields. They gave me a plastic baggie to leave my mask in as well. I always wore my mask except for during my dental cleaning. I have been to smile solutions several times to get my teeth cleaned and remove my wisdom teeth. It's a wonderful and comfortable experience. Making an appointment is convenient, and the staff will contact you two weeks earlier as a reminder. The office is clean and safe. After entering the office, the front desk will test your body temperature at first. One amazing detail is that even pens used for signing are sanitized. The interior is bright and quiet, and it is very beautiful when the sunshine streams through the window. I really appreciate the excellent technique of Dr. Liu and his assistant. They removed my four wisdom teeth very quickly and paid full attention to my feeling. I recovered very soon and haven't felt any discomfort after the extraction. Wonderful! I was a little worried about going to a dentist's office after COVID hit because of the implications involved in putting my respiratory airways vulnerable to infections. Though, those at Smile Solution put me at ease with their diligent testing upon arriving at the office and the constant sanitation that they do with each customer leaving the office. Along with all those working there taking the necessary precautionary steps, with double masks and clean workspaces. Also, taking active provisions to not have multiple individuals in the same space, but instead scheduling effectively so that when one customer leaves another enters. Something that I respect about those at Smile Solution is their excellent customer service, reaching out before my appointment with a text message to confirm the date and to make sure I have not fallen ill of any feverous symptoms. Recently I had an occasion where I had a sore throat and headache, where I was able to reschedule my visit the day of the appointment without any issues. During my latest visit, I would especially like to thank Edina who helped clean my teeth and Joyce at the front desk. Edina did a wondrous job with the teeth cleaning as well as checking that I was comfortable during the whole process. Successful Front Tooth Implant I searched for a periodontist for 6 years before coming to Dr. Liu. I looked for qualification and professionalism first and the cost second. Dr. Liu is the best pick. There are some insights I like to share here. First, you don't have to wait for months to look good. Dental implants take months to finish, however you get a custom made temporary tooth at the beginning. With the temporary on I was able to bite into apples and smile wide in the first week of that eleven months long process. My condition was more complicated so it took longer. Pay after each service. Dr. Liu doesn't charge everything upfront, I paid for each service separately. This has two benefits, you don't have to pay thousands of dollars all at once. More importantly, if you are not happy with a service, you can stop the whole process and look for another dentist. One uber driver who drove me to the clinic was having front tooth implants too. His temporary tooth was badly made. The temporary tooth is like a partial denture with metal hooks at each end that hooks onto a tooth. That metal was hurting his teeth. I wore my temporary for almost a year without a problem. I can only thank Dr. Liu for his superior work. This Uber driver was asked to paid everything upfront, even though he was not happy he could not fire that dentist. If the doctor cannot make a good temporary how can he make a good implant? This is one good reason to choose Dr. Liu over others. Pain, the amount of pain I had to endure was a lot less than I had anticipated. I had a bone graft and gum repair. The bone graft surgery was not that painful; I received seven days worth of pain killers but I only needed it on the day of the surgery. The gum repair surgery was a lot more painful. A small piece of healthy tissue was taken from my mouth to repair the damaged. I had to take pain killers for three days. My mouth had a lot of stiches inside which makes eating a challenge. I am happy to say that after six months the tissue has grown back about 75% and my gum looks good again. I know people who had much worse pain than I experienced, I thank Dr. Liu for his superior surgical skills. My family has been going to a good dentist in San Francisco for 20 plus years. He also provides implant service at the same rate. However, this dentist does not have as much training in the field of dental implant comparing to Dr. Liu. I am happy to say that I have made the right choice. read more

They are extremely professional and friendly and I have always been treated very well. The parking lot usually has plenty of space, and the office is pretty easy to get to.
