Laughed at me when my dental health was in decline due to PTSD. Scoffed at the quality of my previous dental work, including fillings and braces. Assumed I was a teenager when my chart clearly said I was 25. Lectured me on dental hygiene as if I was a child. Sometimes when a person's health declines, something else is going on. The hygienists and admins were condescending and unempathetic. Their business practices are immoral! I know people who got work done here and later found out from other dentists the work was either done incorrectly (probably to ensure repeat visits) or was completely unnecessary. They also massively overcharge. The dentists are undeniably violating the Hippocratic Oath. For the sake of your wallet and health, take your business elsewhere. read more

Very shady shady dental practice. I really wanted to like them but they've been dishonest and untrustworthy. I went to have my wisdom tooth removed about a year ago and they performed a bone grafting without informing me or explaining what this service was. They charged over $1000 for this and tried to play it off as a "necessary" service. I settled this by agreeing to a 50/50 split. I continued to go to them for a while but got another bill for a "balance outstanding". They tried to charge me again for the graft and reported me for unpaid bills. I emailed and tried to contact them with no response. Steer clear from places like this who would do anything to earn a quick buck from customers who aren't careful. read more

I absolutely had the BEST experience a new day dental today. I found myself in a dental emergency with a chipped tooth last night. I called New Day Dental in the morning and was able to get in for an appointment by 12 o'clock the same day. The staff went over the top to make me feel invited, comforted, and calm because I haven't had the best dental experiences in the past. I can be a nervous wreck when it comes to the dental chair as well as the drill. Dr. Aaron Sanchez did an excellent job with filling my chipped tooth. I felt that he explained everything to me thoroughly before the procedure and was very gentle when it came to the shot as well as the filling. He would talk to me during the procedure to take my mind off of things which I thought was incredibly courteous. I found out upon leaving that since I was referred by a friend that we both received $100 Dental credits. My friend has been trying to get me to go to New Day Dental for about four months because she swore up-and-down that she had the best dental experience there as well. Since I was referred, I ended up getting $100 credit and she had $100 added to her account. Walking out the door I thought to myself, I think I may have just had the best dental experience that cost me nothing since the referral credit covered the cost. The first time I found out about the Dental credit was after leaving. I would give them the same positive review as well as 5 stars even if they didn't offer it. Give them a call. If your interested in a dentist that doesn't change all the time don't go here. On top of the revolving dentists, in my opinion they are using shady tactics. For example, I got a nightguard, then shortly after needed a crown. They said they would replace the nightguard after the procedure. After inquiring on the notes about the free replacement, they claim there are no notes in the file. Find a dentist that will stay with you longer than a year or two. read more

I want to retract my review of this place. Although I still stand by Lucy being a great hygienist, I can't say the same for the doctors at this office. My impression of this office is that all they care about is making money not truly caring for their patients. First of all, I tried scheduling a cleanup after a $100credit was given to me after referring my mom to this office. It would have been my second visit to this office, but after applying my credit I was told I had to still pay for an exam fee of$78! The exam is the doctor coming in to check what the hygienist did. Shouldn't that already be included and implied in my visit? Isn't a dentists job to make sure the cleaning was done right without charging an extra fee for that? Also, my first visit didn't charge an exam fee it was included with my clean up!! Then I said I didn't want the exam but they said it was mandatory and didn't have an option. Second incident that didn't make me trust this office was when my mom came in for her first cleaning at this office, the owner came in to check on her and apparently pointed out she needed a crown replacement and offered to do it right then and there?! Some people may take this as a good sign, but the guy barely even checked my moms mouth and showed no interest in checking her mouth but wanted to quickly charge for a whole crown replacement right after her clean up?! He didn't even take the time to carefully check her crown, just a quick scan and ready to charge $500 for the replacement. No thanks! Never referring anyone to this place not will I be back. I think there is lots of fake 5 stars for this dentistry, I used their service back on Feb,2016, -because someone referred me to them, they lie to me.....saying that they accept my insurance....I told them please don't Work on anything until you ask me how much I will be paying, I also requested that "I want to specifically see Dr. Ayman", because I know he is an honest/professional person, when I visited their office, I mentioned that again she said ok. But guess what ! They gave me an other doctor, I was fine with that, since it was just a check up session. They checked everything and scheduled me for the next appointment. When I went home I was surprised to receive $200+ bill, I called them and spoke to the lady....they accepted their mistake and apologize. Today 7-11-2017 after one year and a half they are sending me a new bill with $37 ?? I walked across the street and met a really a great staff, welcomed into a comfortable waiting room, offered beverages and I was in the chair in no time. Really cool staff all around. Went here for years under Wisheart, he was amazing, the new Dentists are horrible. Dr.Evangelista rushed and pressured me into a crown within minutes of my first meeting, then he conveniently lost the pre-crown photo of the tooth and couldn't show me the damage. Instead another patients tooth that already had a golden crown and needed a new one was under my photos. Very weird. My crown had to be ordered twice as it didn't fit, the second time it didn't fit either but Dr.Evangelista just ground it down there and put it on. It's been over a year, it has never fit right and is a constant irritation. Dr.Evangelista was also constantly talking down to insulting and belittling his dental assistants, women who I had known and had work on my teeth for a years. I will never be back. I came here for a routine teeth cleaning. I have MetLife insurance. This place is predatory!!! Within 3 hours, I got three quotes for root canal. - 7/2/2018 at 10 am: $1,020.30 for copay to get me to do the procedure - 7/2/2018 at 1 pm: $2,022.20 for copay right before my procedure, claiming computer glitch--They Doubled the Price! - 7/2/2018 at 2 pm: $1,672.20 for copay after reasoning with them See the attached photos of the three quotes for proof. After I told them I won't do this, the office manager forcefully pulled the quotes from my hand, unsuccessfully, saying that I did not sign the two last quotes so I can't take them with me. This appears to be her attempt of destroying any incriminating evidence. I looked up online on a reasonable cost of a root canal procedure and it is around $1000 for this type. See the attached three quotes in the photo section. Also, the many positive reviews are due to the fact that this company violates Yelp's policy by soliciting reviews in exchange for free stuff. If i could give minus 5 starts, i would. Folks, it is with tears and a pain that i write this long-overdue recommendation to YOU - do not trust this practice. Dr. Evangelista will butcher your mouth - and if you don't surrender yourself (and your dollars) to the additional treatment he causes, they will just stop contacting you - regardless of your level of pain and suffering. It's unconscionable and should be downright criminal. My experience with him and this office has been so traumatizing. I went in in December 2019 for what was to be straightforward procedure. I was seen by a great dentist in their practice at that time (Dr. McMaster), when without notice or explanation, i was reassigned to Dr. Evangelista. I drove an hour to my appointment, and was pressured into seeing Dr. E instead of Dr. McMaster (they gave conflicting atories as to why she wasn't there - that should have been a red flag). Dr. E was unprepared - he didnt know why i was there, what he was doing, nor my file or needs. After a very unprofessional "conversation" about why i wasn't getting an implant (shaming me for not being able to afford that procedure), he aggressively began "preparing" my theeth. He was pushing down on my mouth with too much pressure - this is not my first rodeo (and my pain threshold is pretty high) so i KNEW thia was off. I went into this place with ZERO pain or discomfort. Two crowns came off while i was on vacation, one having a root canal. I had no pain at all, I just needed crown replacements. With Dr. McMaster, there was no prognosis or diagnosis that speak to what i have been experiencing since Dr. E worked on my teeth. I have been in severe pain since, now requiring a root canal on each tooth that he worked on! I made it clear that this is his responsibility and i needed it corrected/ treated, after the first (of two) root canal performed, it seemed i was blacklisted. I called countess times to report ongoing pain. Understanding that this fell right as the shelter-in-place orders were rolled out, i tried to be as patient as one can be in my situation. I received nothing for months. I knew they were back in the office because i called from a different phone number than my own, at which point they picked up the phone. It was provided with Dr. E's number, which i called twice (and texted) to no avail. They were (and have been) grossly negligent - i don't understand how they can do this to someone and still sleep at night. I share my experience because i don't want anyone to go through this. If my experience can help you not suffer the same fate, then there's some value to it. We are in such a vulnerable position when we're on that chair with a drill on our teeth - trust in your dentist's ethics, skills, and knowledge is critical. When I first went to New Day Dental for my 6 year old, they seemed very warm and made him feel comfortable. I thought the extra attention was probably part of on-boarding a new patient. However, after my 4th visit I have to say they are the best, with kids. His hygienist shows him how to brush his teeth every time...walks him through the steps of cleaning and polishing. Dr D has made this experience so easy! The staff is very pleasant and I would recommend this office to anyone who needs dental care. Personally, I really dislike people in my mouth like this but Dr D made it cool--almost like a friend was in there. The laughing gas is top notch (I recommend the double shot). Honestly, I really appreciate how down to earth everyone is. It's ok to be apprehensive about dentists because they understand but they also do everything in their power to put you at ease. I will use New Day for all my sent I had another emergency root canal which turned into a full extraction. The process was as easy as it possibly could be! I would like to start out by saying I have been going to this dentist for a very long time. The dentist was awesome and the person that cleaned my teeth I also loved. With that being said I will also say I will never be going back....EVER!!! Just to touch on a few and I do mean just a few because there were a lot of screw ups my last visit. They were so backed up so they had 8 people stacked in that little office. Way to many with the COVID issues. I finally got called on 2 hours and 12 mins after my appointment time. NOT COOL!!! I was there to get my implant put in which took 4 months to get, but with COVID I get it, things are moving slower, great no problem there it is what is it. I was in the chair a total of 5 min. He literally shoved the tooth in and said " at least you have a tooth" and then walked me out. No mirror to look at his work, no questions, like how does that feel...Nothing. If you are told you have multiple URGENT dental issues that will cost you an excessive amount of money after a routine cleaning with Doctor Ayman I recommend you get a second opinion ASAP! I am writing this review of my personal experience not to bash New Day Dental or its employees. However, because of my experience I have to question the integrity & ethics of Dr. Ayman. As a patient you should be able to trust the dentist you are seeing and not have to get second & third opinions on their recommendations. Details of my Experience: Yesterday I went to New Day Dental for the first time for a teeth cleaning, I was referred to New Day Dental by a very close friend who has gone there for a while but who has not ever had Dr. Ayman as her dentist. With the information I have today, my appointment yesterday was even worse than I thought when I was leaving the office. (Note: I am obviously not a Dentist and admittedly do not have any expertise in the field). This is simply my experience with New Day Dental and specifically Dr. Ayman. After my teeth cleaning (by Victoria who was nice), Dr. Ayman came in to do a check and talk with me. He put up my x-rays and told me the Dentist who did my fillings (my fillings are about a year old and I have had no symptoms or issues) made a grave mistake in opting for fillings instead of porcelain crowns, the integrity of a majority of the teeth he filled was highly compromised and very soon this would lead to cracking, breaking, nerve damage, and I can end up having to have root canals AND crowns if I do not address this immediately by replacing 4-5 fillings with crowns (like literally he said IMEEDIATELY ("this needs to be done yesterday") and hovered around reception when I was leaving to ensure my crown appointment was made ASAP...but more on that piece later). During the appointment I told Dr. Ayman about the small piece I thought I felt come off while eating a month ago and he said it was a big hole/gap that needed to be addressed "yesterday", and with a crown. The conversation with him lasted a good 15 min, just focused on the need for crowns and the terrible things that would happen if I did not get the fillings replaced with crowns asap. The receptionist then gave me an estimated bill for 1 crown, my out of pocket expense for the 1 crown would be approx. $750-800 and that's with the great dental plan coverage I have through work & secondary coverage through my dad!! Based on his strong view that I needed 4-5 crowns, I would be paying THOUSANDS of dollars out of my own pocket to get this all done! Obviously this was a lot for me to process, I was genuinely stressed & worried even though I had just done the fillings less than a year ago. But, having no dental background and limited experience I knew no better, believed what he said, and thought it was more than likely the correct & necessary course of action. After we finished discussing & Dr. Ayman left the room I did my yelp review (5 stars) for a Sonicare toothbrush :-/ The receptionist made an appointment for early Feb. for me to come in for the crowns. I was hesitant to even make the appointment but Dr. Ayman hovered the reception area the entire time and asked me why I could not come before February for the crown to be done since they open early and close late on some days. The next thing I did was call the previous dentist in San Francisco who did my fillings, he told me he does not agree with this dentist, to "run" to get a second opinion, and that if crowns (vs. fillings) were in my best interest he would have made a hell of a lot more money off at me at the time but that his goal was to do the best job FOR me, not what made him the most money. He said overall he felt Dr. Ayman's recommendation was overly aggressive, definitely not an emergency, and just unnecessary since I was having no problems My co-worker recommended a dentist close to our work whom she has seen for many years and really likes, I just crossed my fingers his office could fit me and the appointment would bring clarity, not confusion. This morning I had my appointment with the new Dentist in Redwood City (again, he came highly recommended). I had New Day send over all my x-rays and stuff from yesterday to the new office. The new dentist also did a few additional x-rays of his own, throughly examined me, and said my fillings were fine (He said my former dentist did an excellent job)!! He actually said it is saddening how people in his field could say something to a patient, like what was said to me yesterday (again, I was not only told I needed crowns but that this was an URGENT matter). Re: the piece that came off--very minor, he fixed it on the spot w/o a shot! This experience was SO stressful and is not something I wish for anyone to experience! I am just grateful to the two great dentists (Dr. Nogueiro in San Francisco & Dr. Cohen [Rubinchik & Cohen] in RwC) who worked through this situation with me. read more

I've been coming to New Day Dental for as long as I can remember. Everyone here is friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure your teeth/gums/jaw remain healthy. In the last couple years, I've been seeing Megan to have my teeth cleaned. She is by far one of the best people I have ever had clean my teeth. I'm not a huge fan of the dentist because I don't like anything to do with the mouth, but Megan always makes me feel comfortable and helps take my mind off of the fact that I have sharp objects poking around my mouth. Megan is gentle, and she always gets the job done. My teeth and gums feel clean and healthy every time. She is so sweet and I always feel like I'm talking to a good friend when I see her. She even remembers the names of people I've only brought up once...six months prior to said appointment. Matching up with a great dentist is hard, I am so happy that I found New Day Dental. Dr. Ewing is one of the best dentists I have ever been to. He is professional yet personable. After my x-ray, he explained that I had two cavities that needed filling. Since they were relatively small, he explained that the analgesic injection shouldn't be necessary. But if I wanted it, I can let him know later on. He was right. He proceeded with cleaning out my cavity and filling it and this didn't hurt at all. I rather opt for less if it isn't medically necessary. I trust my dentist's judgment. The staff is absolutely great and competent. They were welcoming as soon as I came in and made sure I was comfortable. When I got my x-rays done, the bitewings were gently inserted (Other dental offices shove them down my throat, yuck). Many reasons for choosing New Day Dental is their upgraded dental technology, great location, competent staff and caring dentist.
