Honest Review of My Visits: I visited Smile Solutions for the first time on Monday, November 10, 2025, after scheduling an emergency appointment to repair a chipped tooth. I'll be the first to admit: going to the dentist is not exactly my favorite hobby, however life (and teeth) happens. I arrived with one goal in mind: fix the tooth. Nothing more, nothing less. Front Desk & First Impressions: The front desk receptionist was warm, friendly, and charming. The lobby was cute with light music playing which is a nice touch for someone whose nerves were already plotting an escape. The wait time was short, and I was called back quickly. The restroom was clean! Dental Assistant & Dentist: The dental assistant was very kind and personable, though I wasn't my usual chatty self since it was early and I was on a tight schedule. After X-rays, the dentist came in, introduced herself, and asked thorough preliminary questions. I especially appreciated her sensitivity in making sure my chipped tooth wasn't the result of any unsafe circumstance. Before I knew it, she reclined the chair and began working. My heart was racing, my palms were sweaty, and I was moments away from calling for a timeout-but suddenly, she was done. Quick, efficient, and practically magical. Things I Didn't Love: I wasn't a fan of the music playing during the appointment. I also didn't enjoy being approached mid-appointment by a receptionist requesting payment before treatment. While I understand the business perspective, having completed all paperwork online, checked in, and provided my insurance card, l assumed payment at the end would have been sufficient. Quality of Work: Despite the minor hiccups, I was very pleased with the actual dental work. My tooth looked great. Second Visit - Even Better I returned for a second visit on Thursday and received the same warm greeting and short wait time. This time, jazz was playing this is an immediate improvement and I have zero complaints. I met the dental hygienist, Amika, who was incredibly gentle and completed a thorough assessment of my mouth, including bitewing X-rays. I also really appreciated the diversity within the staff, which made me feel even more comfortable and welcomed. I met with Dr. Smalls again to create a dental plan that genuinely feels customized and solution focused- truly living up to the name Smile Solutions! read more

The absolute worst experience. DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE. I had a crowne removed, tooth cleaned and purchased a new crowne (1K out of pocket). Still in pain, went back and treated for a high bite. Still in pain 2 weeks after, find out I need a root canal, on the same tooth after 10 xrays were taken. The practice utilized all of my insurance allowance. I was told Dr Miller, the owner that drilling thru the new cap was "more complex" than his abilites so i was referred to an outside surgeon. Yes, i was asked to cough up another 1.8K as they dont take insurance. Still in pain with no insurance and either pay 1.8K or have the new crown pulled. Great position they left me with. AVOID THIS PRACTICE if you want good dental healthcare. read more

I came in for a routine cleaning and X-rays. The cleaning itself wasn't bad, but after a few days I noticed a piece of my sealant was chipped off leaving me with some discomfort. When the doctor came in to examine my teeth and X-rays he told me I had EIGHT cavities... I couldn't believe it so I got two other opinions. Both of these dentists from different places said I didn't have any cavities... please don't let the doctor fool you by saying you have cavities that need to be filled... good thing I got another opinion or I would have caused unnecessary pain on my teeth. Don't waste your money. read more

They figured out a way to accommodate me on the day agreed upon so I will retract my prior review in hope that future appointments continue to be satisfactory. Thanks read more

I moved to Concord earlier this year and was past due for a cleaning, but didn't know anyone here to recommend a dentist. Found Smile Solutions on yelp, of course and decided to give them a try. The office is modern and clean, staff is supper friendly and my hygienist Ramsey (not sure if that's the correct spelling of her name or not) was very gentle and careful when doing the X-rays and cleaning. The dentist recommended that I have 2 of my several older fillings replaced since they were worn and cracking, but otherwise all was well. The staff at the front gave me a breakdown of what everything would cost and a chart of which teeth needed the work so I can schedule all at once or separately. Overall a great experience and I'm happy to have a good dental office so close to my new home. read more

I can't quite articulate with words how professional, pleasant, full of good energy, and knowledgeable the ENTIRE staff is. Not many can say they "enjoy" going to the dentist, but Dr. Miller and crew have found the magic in creating a wonderful environment where you can relax ( the music is outstanding as well!) I had been in pain for several days and needed an emergency visit. I wasn't able to get a same day appointment because they were closed on the day I called but the lady I spoke with was so friendly and compassionate. She took my name and insurance info and gave me the next available appointment. I arrived at the office at 8:30am, and was called back in less than 10 mins. I got my X-ray done and was told I needed an extraction. I was done and on my way home before 10am. The dentist, her assistant and every team member I encountered were so welcoming and friendly. I'm so glad I found them online and will definitely go back for my routine visits. read more

I had a dental appointment today at Smile Solutions in Harrisburg. Dr. Miller is wonderful. He listened to me and explained everything. I need 2 more crowns. He looked me straight in the eye and read my body language. He saw my anxiety without me saying anything and listened to me. I will be anxious but probably not as bad. read more

My family chose Smile Solutions to be our family dentist after recently moving to the area. We LOVE THEM! Awesome care, gorgeous facility, and the dental hygienists are SO friendly! Rachel, Darby (I think!? Sorry!) ... we will be loyal patients as long as you work there! I also have to say, as a working mom, the multiple reminder texts, emailed care plans, all of it helps me to stay on top of appointments - and having flexible hours (7a to 7p?! Unheard of!) So glad we chose Smile Solutions! read more
