When I spoke to Dr Drosinos just before the procedure, she walked me through what would happen, which was an IUD removal and insertion. Following the procedure when I was no longer under sedation, Dr Drosinos told me everything went perfectly and I was all set. A few weeks later, I received my bill which had several procedures, images and testing that I did not consent to, and was never told about before or after the procedure. Dr Drosinos performed the following on me while I was under sedation without my consent: 1. Intravaginal ultrasound 2. Non-obstectrical ultrasound 3. 3D imaging of uterus 4. Pelvic duplex 5. Pap smear 6. STD testing 7. Hysteroscopy It is illegal for a doctor to preform procedures, testing and imaging without a patient's consent. NY State has additional laws making pelvic exam under sedation without consent specifically illegal. I asked to meet with Dr Drosinos so I could find out exactly what happened to me while I was under sedation. She told me I could come in at 7am before the practice opened, or I was welcome to pay the $650 appointment fee to meet with her during business hours.

I have never gained more than a few pounds my entire life or had insomnia and currently walk six miles a day. And, the Dexa test came back positive for osteoporosis. No one ever followed up from this office. The absolute WORST care for any educated woman going through menopause. Insomnia, weight gain, bone loss, thinning hair and this female doctor only advise , "walk more".

I check in with reception and asked, 'how are people come in after me?' The receptionist said she will check and returned saying I would be seen in 5 minutes. She failed to realized that the patients that were being seen were being seen on my time. It is now 11:50 and I am told 11:55 I will be seen. I waited a few minutes and decided that I would be leaving due to such an experience and feeling insulted by the lack of respect, integrity and professionalism. The behavior was rude and disrespectful. I will not be returning. As I am in the elevator leaving, the assistant runs after me to return to complete my appointment. I declined, since the patients arrived after me and were see immediately. I saw dr.herman before and was a patient for several years. I am so sorry that this experience has left me feeling so that, I do not feel comfortable nor believe my time would be respected. I've never known Dr. Herman- to be a racist , nor have I felt that I've gotten any less service because I am an African-American.I like his professionalism , personality, and sense of humor. I have no complaints .However, his staff felt staff that I could wait around and used my appt time to service everyone else who arrived after me .
