Indoor Air Testing and Asbestos Inspection Services

I found Kevin on a Google search. Even though he is basically on the other side of NJ, he was…read morewilling to come out and do a test of our air as we just got done with having our asbestos removed. He was easy to contact via email, quoted a reasonable price, and we were able to set an appointment the next day. He arrived on time and was very professional throughout. He explained how his test was even more thorough than the abatement's company's test, as his actually would specifically ID asbestos fibers (vs a general fiber test the other company did). You can tell he knows what he is talking about. The test took two hours and I was able to work while Kevin filled out paperwork in his car. He contacted me the next day with the test results, and also sent me a certificate from the lab and his summary showing the air was clean. Note that Kevin only does the air testing (not the removal) and I used him as a second opinion to ensure the air was clean as asbestos is nothing to mess with! I would definitely recommend his company to anyone wanting to test their environment post abatement.

So happy I called Bay Hill Environmental! We recently moved into a house that was built in 1959…read more After spending 2 days sanding a room prepping to paint, we realized there was a chance the house had lead paint in it after incorrectly assuming our home inspection checked for this. Spoiler alert - it does not. In a panic we did one of those color changing home tests and it gave us a positive result for lead. Oh and I'm pregnant so I was in an absolute panic after this. When I called Bay Hill Environmental they answered right away and everyone I spoke with was so nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I explained the situation and how hysterical I was being pregnant and they sent an inspector out as soon as possible. Bill, our inspector was great, he was understanding, reassuring, professional, and extremely thorough! After about an hour we were beyond happy to learn that our home is certified lead free! This peace of mind was well worth the cost and I would strongly recommend this company to anyone! TLDR - Learn from my mistake and get your home inspected for lead if it was built before 1978 - it is not part of a standard home inspection and definitely use Bay Hill Environmental to get the job done!

I spoke with a local building department about getting a CO for one of my rental units. The…read morebuilding department told me that I needed a lead inspection certificate to receive the CO, so I contacted Ryan of Bay Hill Environment to schedule an appointment. Because I received the DCA Certificate approved 6 months prior, he provided me with the DCA rules, regulations, and paperwork to show the local building department that my property was exempt. Because of Ryan's assistance, I saved over $1000.00. He was awesome, and I will definitely use this company during future lead inspections.

All the major issues that Mr Dave Moore missed on our home inspection in May。we paid around $995…read morefor the inspection that he only found things that I can even pick out as a first time home buyer. He missed 1. Asbestos tiles. 2 mold on closet ceiling caused by leaking pipe and the pipe is still leaking. 3, possible asbestos siding that he didn't mention about having it tested. After closed the house we keep discovering new problems one after another. Don't recommend this company

Avoid at all costs. SUPER BAD inspection quality. PERIOD !!!…read more Really poor inspection job that is now going to cost me thousands to repair. 1. Missed obvious signs of roof leakage, conformed by professional roofer. 2. Missed spotting missing shingles on roof. Inspector never went up on roof and performed visual inspection from ground using binoculars 3. Missed signs of water leakage from roof in attic, even though he inspected attic. 4. Missed spotting mildew under the kitchen sink 5. Missed spotting mildew on master bathroom window. 6. Missed a leak under kitchen sink. 7. Missed minor gas leakage on furnace in basement .. I detected it the day I moved in. 8. Mistook cinder block ventilation weep holes in basement for termite protection bores, sending me on a wild goose hunt with seller. When approached owner, rather than owning up to a botched inspection, he kept threatening me that legally the inspection agreement does not hold him accountable for inspection issues. Confrontational attitude, and putting a spin on the issue e.g.- for example, he tried to tell me the roof leak is due to a crack in the vent boots that was identified in the report. The roof leak and the vents are on two totally different planes of the roof, and ignoring the fact about visible water marks. Penny wise pound foolish ... is all I can say. You pay $550 for inspection to catch the stuff that could cost you thousands. Their inspectors are good at identifying the obvious and petty stuff ... bulb not working, flush not draining water properly, etc. As other reviewer said ... owner is RUDE and and a BULLY. Save yourself the aggravation and get quality inspectors. Your home is the most important and expensive purchase you will make. Having quality home inspectors is important to securing your investment. Avoid bulk franchisee operations like Pillar-2-Post and go with some real local pros. Contrary to the response the owner is bound to provide to my, do not believe his spin.
