I got married in March 2015 and I left it a good 9 months before even thinking about getting my dress cleaned. My dress was absolutely filthy and had so many layers and detail too it, I was worried the stains wouldn't come out. Amir was very friendly and advised me that some of the stains may be difficult to remove. I was confident he knew what he was talking about and he took the time to go through the cleaning process with me. He never once pushed any prices/extra things onto me. Within a week or so I got a call to say my dress was ready to collect at anytime. Amir again took the time to show me my dress, it looked as good as new. All stains had been removed and I was amazed by the great care he'd taken. I would highly recommend Village Dry Cleaners, they took great care in looking after and cleaning my dress, talking me through the process. I've passed this store many times over the past few years, mainly due to its' central location, where most people will see it as they turn on their way to Rochdale from Middleton. From the main road, this store actually looks closed as the shutters always seem to be down, I'm going, to be honest, I always thought this was an abandoned building, however it is not and they seem to use the back entrance, the entrance is on the side facing the health centre and Tesco. Inside, it is pretty typical of a dry cleaners, it has a small area for customers to walk in, the rest is taken by the dry-cleaning business. In terms of being a MyHermes store, it is quite convenient and is one of the more convenient areas in the Sudden area of Rochdale. The woman who served me seemed quite friendly, she sorted my parcel out quite quickly, sadly the man had already been to collect the parcels prior to my arrival, which she had already informed me. I'm struggling with the rating, this is a nice place, decent dry-cleaners in the more convenient location than others being so close to Tesco, I also like the MyHermes feature, the service was okay but the overall feel that this place is an abandoned building as you pass it on the main road really does spoil it for me, also they seem to do all the dry cleaning themselves, rather than self-service which also would be nice to have the option, so i feel this place deserves a 3 star rating mainly for convenience through location with parking, friendly staff and the MyHermes parcel shop feature.

Its actually a pretty good one (despite the fact that someone has graffitied GRIM on the side of the shop, see my photos). As you enter you probably won't notice that you're being greeted by a lovely chappy as you'll be distracted by a lovely warm fuzzy feeling as the smell of hot steamy cotton fills your head. They offer dry cleaning and ironing services, and are cheaper than almost everywhere else I've used (with no repercussions for the cleanliness of your clothes). There's also no other similar services in the area, so you haven't even got a choice. Strangely, they also advertise a load of music and local events, so if you're about to host a gig or comedy night, and want to attract a clientele with really clean clothes, ask if you can put a poster up here!

The dry cleaners has a nice service, the guy behind the counter knows the stuff inside out and can brim your pockets with change if you've got the dollar. For the 4 pounds mark you can probably wash your entire wardrobe (girls this may not apply) and they've got tons of dryers for sorting through afterwards. Word to the wise check closing time, it'll cost you a pound to recover your washed knickers if you left them their overnight.

In all seriousness though, this laundrette is really very different to all the others, it really offers something special. Not really, I'm just being silly, its normal. You can only ask for two things from a laundrette. One, that is smells like all fluffy and downy like babies. Two, that it delivers no nasty surprises. Atlas Laundrette delivers on both accounts. There's no nasty bill you weren't expecting, as its about four quid per wash. Never do you have to pay for two washes as no matter how many clothes you own (girls) it will all fit in their ridiculously big washing machines. Also, crucially, your clothes will come out clean and dry at the end of your visit. Finally, if you're like me and don't like the idea of sitting in a dry cleaners for hours, they offer a service where you can leave it and they'll wash it for you. Even this is relatively cheap, and it all comes back perfectly folded and ordered, just like you still lived with your mum. Done. Not too silly was it?

Parking is not great around here but I tend to just pull onto the pavement outside and I have never had a problem. Don,t leave it too long though as the wardens do operate around here
