I went in with a friend who was fitted with a shirt and a gorgeous skirt when she got a really good job, and needed to look the part. The shop was deserted but looked really plush. All red, and with an old school looking motorbike as decoration with various garments hung up along the back. The lone sales assistant was very polite and helpful. It really did feel like 5 star treatment, but lets face it we were probably the only customers in that day - if not that week. Prices are steep. For one of their mens Pink Label suit prices START at £850 but you are getting something that will fit perfectly and last for ages. Drapers recognises the exceptional service that Nicholas Jones provides. Good quality fabrics, stylish and sensible garments - real grown up clothes. I'm not quite ready for my fitting yet but one day I will be.

It takes approximately 6-8 weeks and the process includes measurement (obviously), choosing your cloth, style and lining (the best bit), a fitting (where you really do get a jacket with one arm and chalk marks all over it!) and then a couple of weeks after that the completed suit. The quality of the work is excellent and you will really notice the difference compared to an off-the-peg option. You also can learn from John Ibbeson (aka Barney Goodman) what to look for when buying a suit. One point to note, Barney Goodman no longer has a shop on Ecclesall Road, but you'll be able to find the website and contact details if you Google it. Forget Paul Smith, Hugo Boss and co, if you need a new suit and are prepared to pay around £500, then have one made bespoke to you - you will not regret it.

I would advise people to steer clear of the Blackburn PC World and buy products online or at a local PC shop, you will find most items a lot cheaper than PC World and you will find a lot more information by doing research online or getting help from the guys at the shops, who I find more knowledgable than PC World staff, who seem to offer the world when they are selling, but couldn't give a toss when things go wrong.

So in future go here as Timpsons is the best for fixing your shoes. They take care to get them looking brand new again and if you want you can alway go back later and pick them up. This shop has really friendly staff that always get your shoes repaired on time. You can go and do your shopping rather than wait and best of all it's really cheap to get most repairs done!
