Smarty Pants and Miss Dena were the hit of our 4 year old's birthday party! They were great with the kids and the balloons amazed all ages! Face (and arm) painting was awesome. I was so busy running around during the party and Smarty entertained the ~20 kids easily. They were entranced by the balloon making and then had fun playing with their balloons. I was feeding everyone lunch when Smarty and Miss Dena headed out. I didn't get to gush to them in person so I'm glad to do it on Yelp! We enjoyed the Big Ballon Show on Zoom for my daughter's 9th birthday this week. It was a great way to host a socially distanced gathering of friends and family as a surprise for the birthday girl. With a huuuge delay, I drop a few words of appreciation. Mr. Smarty Pants dropped by for a regular Wednesday night visit at a local restaurant on Higgins and Cumberland back in January this year. I was there with a friend enjoying some seriously good Sicilian pizza when Smarty entered and in a split second became center of all things - kids ran towards him whilst laughter and balloons, oh many balloons, filled up the place. We had a word with the wizard, trying to concentrate on his story of life. But it was difficult to do so, looking at the beautiful creations being formed, touched up and twisted... I just saw the Smartypants show at the DeKalb public library today, and I was so impressed! I'm in town from California on vacation to see family with my not so easy to please three year old daughter, and my mother suggested a balloon show at the library. I though, sure, why not, but didn't expect much. Oh how wrong I was! We got to the performance room, and it was packed full of excited kids! It was a super fun, professional show with great music, magic tricks and interactive balloon games. The Smartypants team (he and his wife) were incredibly fun to watch, engaged the crowd. I have to admit. Being a parent is a tough business. What makes it all worth it for me is seeing my boys laugh. I also have to admit. I unnecessarily go all way out for my boys' birthday parties. I know kids birthday parties don't have to be so fancy and expensive but there are two things I really want when I plan. Kids having fun and parents being able to relax watching their kids having good time. I had Smarty Pants do my 6 yr old boys birthday party and I couldn't ask for more. He was very prompt with responding. He had no problem making Pokemon party possible. They showed up earlier than promised to start setting up. The show was very well prepared, well thought out, and very entertaining. Most of all, I heard SO MUCH LAUGH. Watching facial expressions on these kids faces was just priceless. It's unbelievable what Smarty Pants can do with these balloons. The birthday boy received few presents made with balloons including life size Pikachu. After the show all of the kids got whatever they wanted made by Smarty Pants to take home with. His wife did fantastic job with face painting. Since kids got busy with balloon making and face painting after the show, parents got to relax and mingle. Mission accomplished!!! In the past I have had the pleasure of working with Smarty Pants & Ms Dena. I am a balloon twister as well and admire watching SP at work. His work is out of this world and a great personality to go with it. Of course there are those times when you have parents who cannot be satisfied, especially when us balloon twisters have strict rules, no balloon creation to the little ones less than 3 years old. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I hosted my son's 4-year and had 60 kids and 80 adults! I was worried :). Mr. Smarty Pants did a fantastic job entertaining everyone, he even bought in a sound system with a disco ball. Great Performers, Amazing Balloons, and Outstanding People.

I'm a parent of a 4 year old and volunteered for the school "park day" and decided to surprise the 4-5 year olds today with SmartyPants (I booked him just last night so excellent response time). He got through almost 30 kids in the hour and was spectacular. He was very nice, kind, and most of all did not dress like a scary clown just a friendly guy with a big smile!!!! He made such a variety for the kids: Headbands, stick figures, dragonfly, hearts, monkey backpack, swords, and much more. He was there on time and actually made sure to fix any balloons the kids accidentally popped while he was there as well. SmartyPants is wonderful! I needed a balloon twisting artist for my son's 6th birthday party, and Smarty Pants partnered with Miss Dena to provide both balloon twisting and face painting. The kids loved it! There were 25 little wild things running around the house playing tag and hide and seek until Smarty Pants and Miss Dena arrived. Suddenly, with cries of "the balloon man is here!!" , the little wild things became civilized and polite! Waiting patiently until their turn with Smarty Pants or Miss Dena. Smarty Pants and Miss Dena held their attention for 2 hours - and all of the children were delighted many times, and everyone left with a wonderful party favor (or two or three...!) The balloon and face painting artistry is really incredible. And we had neighbor kids from ages 3 - 12 at the party - all were as delighted as the 6 year olds. Smarty Pants knows how to run a business and create a top notch customer experience. He is very responsive and professional in all of his communications. In addition, 2 weeks after the event, our 6 year old received a package in the mail from Smarty Pants, with a thank you letter and a balloon making kit. Nate and a dozen other kids in the neighborhood were busy for another fun filled afternoon ( the pump and instruction manual were included - so we figure out how to make simple shapes which the kids enjoyed!)
