For my son's 5th birthday party, Liga and Melissa did a tremendous job with their magic show. They were extremely professional, timely, and very responsive via email when I booked them. I was looking for face painters and balloon artists for our block party and found Gonzo Group. I was particularly drawn by Melissa's bio and how she was afraid of clowns when she was younger but nowadays, she performs as a comedy clown. I had a great experience with Liga and Melissa. Great communication, very professional. The kids had a blast with their painted arms/faces and the balloons -- you should have seen the epic balloon sword fights. They were nothing but accommodating and would definitely book them again. Highly recommended! read more

Liga and Melissa were amazing at my son's birthday party. He turned 7 and we had about 12 other kids, about the same age ( plus/minus 2 years), at the park, celebrating with us. It was a big success. All the kids loved the magic tricks, everyone got to participate. The balloons were also awesome after the magic show. I highly recommend them. Super professional and really nice ladies! read more

Melissa & Liga are super professional, very friendly, and so kind. We used them because of their Yelp reviews at our daughter's 6th birthday, we had around 25 kids, ages from 2 to 9 and they got every kid attention. The show was fantastic, the face paining was very professional, and they made sure every kid got their balloons and a face painting. I would recommend them to any event. Liga was amazing when we emailed her for booking, certificate of liability insurance, etc...She was super responsive. You can't go wrong with this group! read more

Hired gonzo Group for a Dec 31st event. They were very fast with the balloon animals, which helped (as you can imagine - the line of kids forms quickly, and everyone wants their flower, sword, butterfly IMMEDIATELY) I felt the communicated very clearly up front, and we easy to deal with. They were reasonably priced, for what they added to the party. Will definitely think of them in the future. read more

Gonzo the Clown (AKA Melissa) is a great added feature to any child's birthday party. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed! Melissa and her assistant are so professional. I called and spoke with Melissa's assistance and she was so sweet and informative as to all of the different services Melissa offered. My daughters birthday party was on a tight time schedule, so after speaking with the assistant I decided to go with the face painting and boy am I glad I did. When I tell you parents and my daughters class-mates are still talking about the face painting to this day. My daughter's birthday party was in January (yes this review is well over due) Melissa is soooo talented. She did all type of designs and characters on the children s faces. Even some of the adults, including myself got their faces painted because she was so good. She calls you before hand to let you know she's in route, and she get's there early to set up. She comes well prepared with her supplies and even has music, which is such a nice added touch. She uses the best paint and she's very sanitary. She's friendly and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is pleased. Her prices are very affordable for the great/fun service you receive. All of the parents were asking for cards to book her. If I ever need a clown service ever again, she will be my first choice. read more

I hired Melissa and Liga for my son's first birthday party, 3/31/19, and they were awesome! They were responsive with booking, scheduling and arrived 10 minutes before they were scheduled to begin. Despite us being behind schedule with smash cake cleanup, Melissa performed an hour comedy show and then made balloons for all of the kids for the entire time they were hired for. Melissa was SO great at including all of the kids and keeping my guests, adults included, entertained for the entire magic/comedy show and balloon making. We had the pleasure of having this duo team at our daughter's 1st birthday this past weekend and what a great time everyone had! They were awesome!! They performed a magic show and provided face paint and balloon art at my cousins 7th birthday party a year ago and the kids loved them, so I used them for my son's 1st birthday party and they were a hit again. What I loved the most is that they traveled to my home on the southside of Chicago (73rd and Cottage Grove), which we know can be an issue with some businesses, came on time and advised me when their time was coming to an end so that I wouldn't have pay additional costs. I would highly recommend them! read more

We highly recommend Melissa and Gonzo Group Entertainment. The children and adults at our son's 5th birthday absolutely loved Melissa. Liga, her assistant, was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with regarding the reservation and all follow up. They both arrived early to setup and even brought their own music, which was a pleasant surprise! Given all of the children had not arrived when she had done setting up, they both suggested starting with face painting. Melissa's face painting is exceptional and all of the kids were very excited. In hindsight, I think it was a great way for them to get to know Melissa or at minimum, feel like they knew her before she started her magic show. Her magic show was spot on for the age group. She was very interactive with the kids and was entertaining for the adults as well. We could not have been more happy and highly recommend Melissa, Liga and Gonzo Group Entertainment. read more

We used Melissa (Gonzo the Clown) for our daughter's 6th birthday party. She called to let us know she was on the way and was courteous to arrive early to do her set up. I can tell you without hesitation that the balloon bending that Melissa brought to our daughter's party outshined both jump houses and the face painter we also had there. She was wonderful with the children and they were soooo delighted in her balloon creations. Equally, Liga, Melissa's assistant was a joy to be around. Very lighthearted and friendly. Melissa even brought her own music, which was a HUGE addition to our daughter's party, it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. I'd recommend Melissa in a heartbeat. I know we'll be calling on her again for future events. Thank you Melissa!!!! The kids absolutely loved you (and I'm a fan too)!!!!!!!! read more
