As a first time client, I did not have a positive experience. My stylist was very nice, but she was…read morenot vigilant in keeping her tools clean. The styling brushes she was going to use on my hair were not clean and had other peoples hair wrapped around and there was lint clogging the blow dryers filter. I asked the stylist not to use those brushes on my hair and asked her if she could get clean ones. She left me in the chair and I assumed she was going to get clean brushes but instead she went to the Manager who came to me and said the stylist was unable to finish because she was now uncomfortable and self-conscious. I explained my intention was not meant to be hurtful because I assumed she could just get clean brushes. So I only got 1 of 3 services I had booked, the Manager did not apologize for the dirty brushes and also didn't comp my service. I paid $85 and left. As I had a few days to think about my bad experience, several factors are important. #1 Poor cleaning and poor hygiene is a no-no, the stylist and the salon could be fined and their licenses affected. #2 The Manager did not apologize for the bad hygiene and seemed to indicate I was the problem for asking the stylist for clean brushes. The stylist did not have any other clients and during the 30 minutes my color was processing, she could have cleaned her tools but she did not. She was in the back somewhere. #3 This is an Aveda salon and I high expectations for quality of service and was let down. I do not recommend this salon.

To know for sure, I'd have to check this place out... At 9:00 a.m., I was the first customer of the day. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the owner and hair stylist, Barb. The salon had a chic, rustic feel to it. Although my hair had grown out a good amount, it was barely shoulder length. I didn't exactly know how I wanted my hair cut. He was on a phone call the entire time spitting all over my head and at one point spitting on my face while I was lying down getting my hair washed, he took pauses from cutting my hair to text, and he went around the salon making conversation with his employees while leaving me sitting at the chair for minutes mid haircut waiting for him to come back and finish cutting my hair. On top of that, I asked for an inch trim. No layers, no styling. nothing fancy. He kept trying to pressure me into doing layers and I kept refusing, yet still against my consent he ended up cutting my hair awfully uneven, and used a razor to remove 6 inches of length hair that I took years to finally grow out to that length. It looked like a terrible layer cut, like a toddler did it.
