Than they went on to call the manager on the phone to tell me it was only for a man's haircut which as I reminded them didn't say on the coupon. The older lady was was rude and condescending. I finally told them to keep their coupon and walked out. I will never go back there again. Don't try to use their coupons cause it looks like they are used to only get you there and then change the services they want or don't want to give you. Thumbs down all the way.

The employee working did not acknowledge me when I arrived, and even during the phone call to schedule the appointment, the interaction felt dismissive. What was most disappointing was that when another customer walked in without an appointment, the employee immediately took him ahead of me for my scheduled appointment time. It was clear he was a walk-in because she mentioned there would normally be two people ahead of him, yet she still allowed him to go before me without even asking if I was okay with it or offering any explanation. I chose to leave because I felt my time and appointment were not respected. Very disappointing experience, and unfortunately I will not be returning.

My results were honestly so disappointing and this is why ; first of all , I was promised by Rosa a…read moreblue color and she told me she could pull it off . I know it's a very hard color to dye but I already have greenish hair and she told me it wouldn't be hard . My roots were grown out and I wanted them re done and I made it clear in writing that i wanted my roots done . I let her know that I'm okay with bleaching my hair to get my desired results because I wanted my hair lighter . She was so nice she told me she would even make me a conditioner for my hair I can take home . Guess what happen when I went to her . She told me she wasn't gonna use bleach which was weird but I trusted her and she told me she was gonna dye my roots a dark blue which I never wanted but still , I trusted the process plus I'm already here . Rosa started changing things about what I wanted when I got there but I was sure with what I wanted through text . If she wasn't gonna do my roots and not make my hair lighter , she could've let me know before hand but she had to wait til I got there . After we were done , my hair wasn't blue( it was grey ish blue ) and she kept trying to convince me it was the blue I wanted and I was polite so I nodded away but my roots were also black still. The only thing that was dark blue was my scalp which she didn't wash well . Oh yes and the conditioner she made me , apparently it's not free and thank god I asked her because it was 50 bucks . I don't know about you but I'm not the type of person to spend 50 on a conditioner. When I said no thanks she kept trying to tell me how my hair will turn green and all um yeah it'll turn green ma'am because you never dyed it blue in the first place . Let's also not forget about the fact that she kept insulting my haircut which had nothing to do with my hair dye . She took pictures of my results and kept saying photos don't do it justice and started editing the photos because of that . So this tells you to not believe all the pics you see in her portfolio. I paid almost 300 bucks for my hair to look almost the exact same as when I came in and my roots were basically undone . My hair was not vibrant at all , it was darker and grey and dull because she didn't use bleach . I just hate when hairdressers promise you a result that they can't just for money and try to sell you products on top of that . I've been screwed over by another hairdresser before . She felt bad and charged me less at least but I still stopped her but no Rosa didn't do any of that ( which I didn't expect ) because somewhere in her head my hair was "sooooo blue ". I'm still a high schooler and I been saving up for this and went to a trusted person . What I will say is , if you'd like to go to a cheerful person who does good balayage and highlights , she's the one for you . I'm just not her demographic unfortunately. I should've definitely been more stern about what I wanted and let her know but she acted like she knew everything so I didn't question . I still tipped her on top of that because I don't have anything against her but yes this experience ruined my day .

I have a self-created motto I live by when it comes to hair salons. If I see all the hairdressers have wacky haircuts, I don't want them to touch me because I don't want to walk around like a circus freak even if they do. I was relieved to see the desk girl had a cute but not freaky haircut. I was even more relieved to see Amber had very pretty, LONG not chopped up and perfectly highlighted blond hair. That instantly means she understands trim means trim and not hack off four inches. The other stylists also have chic but non freaky haircuts and colors which leads me to believe they are reliable, fashionable women. Amber Stites (styyy ts) did a fantastic job. She asked questions and really listened to what I wanted. She was painstaking in doing my layers and gave me a phenomenal blow dry. She did better than the haircuts I've had at Toni and Guy and is cheaper too! 35 bucks for an hour of intense labor on my thick tresses. Amber is also very skilled with the de-thicking scissors. My hair is lighter in weight on my head but won't grow in all wonky. A word of caution, this establishment does NOT take credit cards so have cash or a check handy. Private lot right off Harwood Road, cheaper and far less stressful than a trip to the mall. I won't miss the techno music at Toni and Guy either. I'd rather listen to real people talk and laugh. Go see Amber! However, this place is... how to put it.. the aesthetics of the room feels somewhat like a basement. Minus one star for feeling I was in a basement but overall it was a 5 star haircut.
