After trying the first trainer on recommendation and finding her to be a disaster, I looked online and found Keith. He had a number of good reviews so I thought I'd give it a chance and try him. When he came in he seemed very passive not at all what I expected. After explaining his philosophy on the way he trains dogs. He started to recondition Milo & Dukie without pain or treats. He also explained how dogs look at people. Dukie's big problem was that he jumped on people when they entered the house, he is 145lbs and would knock people over. Milo had a real attitude problem he nipped. Within 2 hours he had changed the dogs attitudes, it was an amazing transformation. You can now walk into my house without being jumped on or nipped. Its still a work in progress but what an amazing difference. He has made our lives a lot easier. Thanks Keith. Great Value.

His reply to us was to throw bigger water bags at him. Needless to say, it ended with the puppy not only viciously biting my husband, but then myself. severe. wounds on my arms and legs what's needed immediate medical attention. We paid a lot of money for Bark Buster and they were completely useless. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. I'm sure I won't be able to get a refund for the months that we didn't use. this was a totally horrible experience we had to surrender the puppy.

I have always been asked if I needed help and the associate walked around with me, until I found what I was looking for. Upon my last visit, I signed up for the Petco Perks Card, which came with a booklet of coupons for future use. The associate ringing up my order knew there was a coupon in the booklet for what I was purchasing. She thumbed threw the booklet found the coupon and put it towards my order. Now that is proactive customer service and saving me a few bucks in the process. I recently called the store looking for an item on their website. The customer service associate walked around the store with the phone in hand looking for the item. Unfortunately, it's not something they keep in stock at the store. I told him I would go ahead and order it on-line. He recommended that if I came into the store to order it, it would save me shipping costs. Again, proactive customer service. Offering solutions to something I didn't think about.

The whole reason I don't cut my own dogs nails is bc I worry about going to short, and that's exactly what happened here. They told me there was a small "nick" but she was fine...not true. I didn't realize until I got home, but she was bleeding a lot from the nail. My car seat is covered in blood, we didn't have the powder to get it to stop bleeding so I had to call someone to buy some asap since I couldn't leave her. It was a disaster for a few hours. My dog never shows she's in pain and this time she did. Excruciating to watch as a dog mom, I will never go to any Petco again.

From the start, Chris Carr was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly dedicated to helping both dogs and their families. Over the course of 10 days, Buster received 4-5 training sessions per day -- and the transformation was nothing short of amazing. When we picked him up, Chris spent a full hour training my son and me, making sure we understood how to maintain the progress at home. Since returning, Buster has been a completely different dog -- calmer, more focused, and so much more enjoyable to be around. We've even had friends and neighbors compliment his improved leash manners and overall behavior. Chris truly gave us the tools and confidence we needed to bring out the best in Buster, and we couldn't be more grateful. If you're considering a training program, I can't recommend Chris Carr and Strong House Training Center enough!

We had to spend 5 minutes just to load him into our car and would have to lift him in. When on a leash he would pull either pull or just lay down. Within 5 minutes Chris had him walking without pulling on a leash and got him to voluntarily jump in the back of our SUV! Chris walked us through his training process, the commands he would teach based upon our feedback of areas we wanted addressed as priority. The hardest part was waiting to the the results but as the saying goes good thing come to those who wait! The dog we picked up no longer jumped upon greeting, walked on a leash and was overall a much better behaved animal. Chris walked us through the training, gave recommendation and welcomed us to contact him with any questions or concerns. I would like to say the key takeaway which Chris stressed and I'll attest to is reinforcing the training; especially with a dog like Figgy who prior was allowed to let his bad behavior be considered acceptable. We ended up getting sick shortly after bring Figgy home and within a few day some of the bad behavior started to surface. Once we were able to get back to daily reinforcing his training from Chris he settled right back in to being the dog we knew he could be and Chris helped bring out. We are 100% satisfied with the results from Stronghaus and would highly recommend. Are the results worth it if you are willing to put in the work and stick with the training; 1000% yes! Chris showed us how to act as Figgy's leader, alleviating him from acting on bad behavior and being a dog who is now as laid back as can be and loving his new life. Worth every penny!

I booked a two-week stay and arrived at 5:00 PM on a Friday, the night before an early flight. During intake I mentioned that my dog had a small skin-level growth removed by her vet the week before. The site manager then pinned my dog down repeatedly to search for a stitch, found a single concealed suture under her chin -- one I hadn't even noticed myself -- and refused to board her. Her words: "Sorry, we can't take your dog. Corporate rules, and I could lose my job." That rule appears nowhere on their website and was never mentioned when I booked. Their published health requirements list vaccines and state that pets with medical conditions are welcomed case by case, with a vet waiver if needed.
