Jenn Van Schoick is not a proper service dog handler. Not only that but she bullies those with disabilities online because she thinks it has no impact. She believes people can't be ambulatory wheelchair users and that service dogs need to be "certified" as her "cane Corso is certified". She blocks and throws tantrums at everyone that calls her out on her ableism. If you are disabled and considering a service dog trainer, please find a different one, that actually cares about you! Disabled people have value and worth.

Best dog and cat I have ever had pleasure of owning. Dg and big guns. Jen is an amazing trainer, breeder, rehabilator. I am so happy.

He went to his truck to get his phone and the step broke as he was getting in. That's why he was "tinkering" with his vehicle. How about opening the door and talking to him instead of watching from inside for 20 minutes. Mike and Amy just left my home where they helped turn my 100 lb American Bulldog's negative and seemingly aggressive behavior completely around. While we know we must continue to work with him, we now know what we need to do to help him become a better K-9 citizen. They will not only show you what to do, they will explain why you need to do it. They will also explain why your dog is behaving the way he/she is. Understanding why your dog is behaving badly is just as important as knowing how to correct it. This not only includes handling your dog with basic obedience but having more awareness in social situations and an understanding of your dog's body language which will help you to proactively correct your dog before a closed mouth becomes a bite. Anyway, they were great. Call them. You won't regret it.

I went to trainers before him which were horrible experiences, was told to put down my older pitbull and that she was too old to train, that people wouldn't train her because she's a pitbull, and all Mike's recommendations & teaching helped us turn things around for her. She's now much happier and safer as am I. If you are worried about using a prong collar just test it out on yourself first it doesn't hurt, same with a shock collar, I mean that one stings but it's nothing unbearable which made me feel better about using them on my ladies. Gave great recommendations for the collars to buy. Easy to use.

From the first class the instructor was on a power trip. Instead of instruction, only received criticism; the food we fed was wrong, but he did not recommend a new food. He hated the collar and tossed it. Put on another one said he would charge us. ( he didn't). The dog has died the child is grown. My only regret was ever going to this dog trainer who was on a power trip. ( he was recommended by a person whose opinion I respect)

I just completed the seven week basic obedience course with my 8 month-old hound mix, and could not be more pleased with the results. Pete is clear and direct in his feedback, which I really appreciate. Each week's homework is laid out, and Pete constantly reiterates that he is a phone call away if you encounter any speed bumps or need clarification between classes. I was also grateful for the flexibility of being able to drop into class on an alternate evening if I hit a scheduling snag. My pup and I are about to move on to the eight week therapy dog course, and I am confident that we have the foundation necessary to be successful. All-in-all I highly recommend Kindred Souls Canine Center.

He was definitely a tough one, and there were moments when it felt really hard, but they never gave up on him. They had patience, dedication, and the time it took to truly work with him meant more to us than words can express. His trainers made this entire experience such a positive one for our family, and we are so thankful for all the support, guidance, and care they showed every step of the way. Seeing how wonderful things are going at home now honestly feels unbelievable, and we know it would not have happened without all of their help. A very special thank you to Jake and Paul for believing in Louie and helping him -- and us -- through this journey. The Spinale family is incredibly grateful, happy, and thankful for everything they have done.

Both times she came home sick and required a vet visit. The first time she had kennel cough. This time we boarded her for a week and she came home down 3 pounds 26 lbs to 23 lbs) and with terrible diarrhea that lasted for days and required another vet visit and medication to address. Zero communication about her not eating or the weight loss during the stay or at pickup. Not sure if it was a case of their lack of attention to what was going on or they just didn't care. We have boarded our dogs there many times over the years but the care and attention now seems to be lacking. I can no longer recommend them.

After trying the first trainer on recommendation and finding her to be a disaster, I looked online and found Keith. He had a number of good reviews so I thought I'd give it a chance and try him. When he came in he seemed very passive not at all what I expected. After explaining his philosophy on the way he trains dogs. He started to recondition Milo & Dukie without pain or treats. He also explained how dogs look at people. Dukie's big problem was that he jumped on people when they entered the house, he is 145lbs and would knock people over. Milo had a real attitude problem he nipped. Within 2 hours he had changed the dogs attitudes, it was an amazing transformation. You can now walk into my house without being jumped on or nipped. Its still a work in progress but what an amazing difference. He has made our lives a lot easier. Thanks Keith. Great Value.

It may be good for some dogs/breeds, but we had much more success using positive methods than asserting dominance.
