**Our family bought our Chocolate Lab from Jenn 4 years ago. Dakota's the sweetest, most gentle loving dog. Jenn is the most knowledgeable, caring, passionate person you'll ever meet. She truly loves her dogs and it shows. My husband and I have been recommending her ever since. When we met Jen we talked a lot. She introduced us to her dogs and we met the pregnant lab mom. We interviewed each other I guess. As we were checking Jenn out she was also making sure we were good people who would give her pups a loving home. We actually felt the puppies in the moms belly, which we though was really cool. We also met the father and grandmother. I loved the fact that there were generations. You could tell they were good, healthy dogs. We left our deposit and Jenn kept in touch when babies arrived with photos. We watched as the puppies grew in the following weeks through photos until it was safe for the puppies to meet them. She made sure we kept our hands clean for their safety when we did. The puppy area was clean and mom and pups were happy. The day we picked Dakota up we received a binder with all the puppy's info. Jenn also sat down with us and explained everything we needed to know and answered every question we asked. She also recommended a vet. We were impressed by Jenn's knowledge. She answered every question we had and taught us things we were unaware of. Also, if we had any further questions she was just a phone call away. No matter what she always called back. We never had any health problems so far, Thank God, and she's 4 years old. But, this year all of a sudden Dakota had an allergic reaction on her face. Trusting Jenn as we do we actually called her first before the vet. She immediately wanted to see Dakota. She gave us helpful advice and some Benadryl for Dakota and stayed in touch with us constantly to make sure she was getting better. She did get better but that evening her eye swolled up. She gave us a cone for her so she doesn't damage her eye and told us to give her more Benadryl and to see a vet for a steroid shot. Jenn stayed up with me on the phone late, she heard my concern in my voice, until I was calm. The next day we went to the vet and was given Prednisone which cleared it up. Our dogs belong to us but in Jenn's heart they'll always be her babies. She loves them all dearly and is always willing to help them whether it's training or any wellness advice. I have true admiration for Jenn. Her job isn't easy. Her passion is what drives her. She is an amazing woman with a very challenging job. read more

I've gotten both of my labs from Ark Angel Labradors and my exclusive dealings with the owner of this business are well documented legally. I purchased my 1st lab as a puppy back in 2008. My 2nd lab was an adult dog that was returned to me by way of a Court Order, as per our adoption contract. Due to many well documented untrue statements, claims and the actions of this business owner. It's high time, I update my previous review of Ark Angel Labradors. It doesn't matter if Yelp's automated systems somehow filter my review of this business in the future. As I was 100% confident last year that I'd prevail in court and get my dog back. I'm equally confident today that he'll happily remain in my full care for the rest of his life! It's been a little over a year since my boy was legally returned to me in a courtroom in early April 2015. He's had an awesome 1st year hunting, fishing and finally learned to swim on his own. "It's amazing how a sound diet, care, attention, affection and especially a stable "Chaotic Free" environment has helped his condition". Also, because his best buddy (my other lab) has thus far, beaten the odds of a grim cancer diagnosis. Without a doubt, certainly makes everything that much SWEETER!!!. My comments about Ark Angel Labradors and its owner are simply this! "I understand this business and the owner's true personality and intentions perfectly. This owner is all about "$$$$$", control and a constant daily need for attention and approval! I would NEVER again have any dealings with the owner of this business or recommend them to anyone in the future". For those out there contemplating getting a puppy or adult dog from this business, I wish you all the best... While you can get a great puppy/adult dog from Ark Angel Labradors. It's not the innocent puppies and dogs that are the problem... Whether the dog your interested in at "Ark Angel Labradors" is a Labrador, Dachshund, Chihuahua, Spaniel, some other breed or mixed breed. When you or "especially" your child's heart melts while interacting with a desired puppy or dog. My opinion is this, step back, trust your instincts, do your research and know your rights as a consumer. "DO NOT" allow yourself to be manipulated or controlled by the owner of this business. Purchase or adopt a puppy/adult dog from this business "As a Pet Only"! Give your dog a happy, healthy life and enjoy "Your Dog"! Please Please Please stay away from Jen Van Schoick! My (and my husband's) story began early April 2012. I went with a neighbor to pick up her puppy (for which she never got her AKC papers). I asked Jen if she had any male puppies available. She brought me in her house and showed me a litter that was about 10 days old, and she held up a pup for me to see. I talked to my husband about it and called Jen that night to tell her we would take the pup. She asked me if we would be willing to let her show the dog because she thought he had potential. She said it would be no big deal, maybe 2-3 shows a year. Being stupid and naive, we said ok. We went down that next weekend and gave her a deposit. NEVER ONCE DID SHE SAY SHE WOULD CO-OWN THE DOG, NOR WAS IT IN THE CONTRACT. If she had only told us that from the beginning, we would have ended it right there. I and my husband went down to her house almost every weekend to see our pup. We took pictures and or video every time we were there....Still, she never mentioned that she would be the CO-OWNER of the dog. About a week and a half before we were going to bring him home, Jen was saying things (like her name was going to be on the micro-chip) that were making me uncomfortable. My husband than said to her that we were going to be the sole owners of our pup, and that's when she said, oh, no she was going to be the co-owner. By this time, we were already in love with our pup and just wanted to bring him home. From there forward we wrote quite a few emails and text messages back and forth about what it was going to take for us to have this pup solely ours (we still have all those emails). My husband tried everything he could to reason with her, even talking to her lawyer, and boyfriend, whom both said she should just give us the dog. In the end, we had to give her another 1000.00 because she couldn't be co-owner. The contract states we have him with NO LIMITED REGISTRATION, but we never even got his AKC papers. She caused a lot of tension and heartache for us, but in the end we have our pup. I talked to some breeders at the Monmouth County dog show that's held in May, and just asked them if they knew of Jen. I got almost the same answer from everyone of them, she's very underhanded in her dealing with selling dogs. I have had no more contact with her. I am sure I am leaving some stuff out, my husband can probably tell you more.....just thinking about her and the whole situation is still upsetting...... read more

She got us started with all the right food and our pup is doing great. Within a week, she is learning to fetch and goes to the bathroom outside, most of the time. If I ever get another lab, it will only be from Jen... Thanks again . I found out about Jen when I was at Petco looking for supplies for another Lab I was going to bring into our family. I saw this guys beautiful chocolate and asked him about her. He said he got her in Jackson and I live in Jackson, so I called her for a visit. She let me come in that day and I told her about the other lab I was getting. After telling her about the lab, she told me to ask the other breeder several key questions, which the other breeder in Pa. had no answers for. And after showing Jen the pictures of the Lab from Pennsylvania and listening to all her info, I decided to loose my deposit on the lab from Pennsylvania and get one from Jen. She gave me all the right paperwork and I felt a lot more comfortable with her and it has worked out awesome. Sammy is 10 weeks old and great... read more

I rescued a pitbull from Jen a few years ago. The only positive thing about this is that she's a great dog. I decided I would love to get another dog from her because we all know pitbull's are like potato chips you just can't have 1. So The other day I called Jen and asked her if she had any more pits up for adoption. She said she had a blue nose pit but I would have to sign a co ownership agreement because she wants to breed the pitbull 3 times with another dog. She text me a picture of the dog and yes she is a beautiful dog but.... If you are a rescue or even were a rescue why are you breeding dogs? Not to mention pitbull's are a "bully" breed and many of them are in high kill shelters and get put to sleep because the breed of dog. Jen also breeds labs, yellow black and brown. She also breeds chihuahuas and dachshund pups. I've talked to many rescue organizations and told them what she is doing and everyone of them agreed with me! You don't rescue and breed! This world is so over populated with dogs and cats! Why add to the population? She's selling these lab pup for 1,500 or so for each pup! She's all about money $$$$. If you sit there and think about it how is she helping animals when she is just doing the opposite! She also shows her labs. I wonder if AKC AKA knows she's rescuing and breeding?? read more

Not only do I have two dogs that are the love of our family's lives, but Jenn trained with me and our therapy dog, Drake, for months. She brought me to health and wellness fairs at schools with Drake and five of her other dogs. Each was well-behaved and brought joy and relaxation to all those who interacted with them. Jenn took Drake and me to malls, stores, and restaurants and drove an hour for Drake and another one of her dogs to visit my elementary school. She interacted with students and organized them so they could safely visit with each dog. Jenn is clear with training me as a handler and firm, so I knew what to do and how to help Drake progress as a therapy dog. Drake is in his third year as a school therapy dog. Jenn was precise with her pricing timeline, training regime and schedule for anticipated certification for Drake. Soon after falling in love with Drake we offered to foster another adorable puppy for Jenn. We quickly fell in love with this mixed-breed pup! We love them both with all our hearts! I cannot say enough great things about Jenn! She is truly a gifted dog trainer who has made an incredible difference in my life and the lives of my dogs. Jenn worked with my Golden Retriever to train him as a therapy dog, and thanks to her expertise and patience, he is now thriving in an elementary school setting. The kids adore him, and he's making such a positive impact. She also helped my German Shepherd through a difficult transition after the passing of my previous Golden Retriever. I'm writing this review to simply state that my family and I have a wonderful chocolate lab puppy from Jen and "our personal" experience with her was very nice. I understand everyone can have different experience. I don't wish to be contacted by the person who had a bad experience you know who you are. I would never be so ignorant to speak on a situation to which I don't know about and say you didn't have a bad experience. Please don't question the fact the I am very happy with ark angels Labradors . My dogs temperament is second to none. Meet her and you would see she is absolutely beautiful. She was more than explanatory with regards to her contract which majority of breeders use. There are options to buy the breeding rights outright. I also liked that she had my dogs mother father and grand mother on premises. Again, I can only speak on my experience and it was a pleasant one for me and my family. We have not one, but THREE dogs from Ark Angels. Two gorgeous labradors, white, 6 years, and chocolate 3 years. The little one is a dachelier, almost 2 years, (dachshund/cavalier mix), who we adore. We were referred to Jenn by our friends, who also have a sweet yellow Labrador, in Brooklyn. Our dogs were trained by Jenn before we took them home for good. Bette is basically an angel,docile and sweet, gets along with every person and animal. Bosco is the most gentle handsome guy, with the sweetest personality. Mochi the dachelier, is a snuggle bug and gets along with the labs perfectly. She's loving and sweet. They are physically beautiful dogs but they have also been healthy. Jenn will help with reccs if you need veterinary care for your dogs and guide you in what care your dogs need or find unnecessary. I'd recommend getting your Labrador from Jenn. She cares about her dogs deeply and makes sure they are going to good forever homes. read more

Jennifer is an amazing dog trainer! She trained my 1 year old golden retriever to become a therapy dog and to go to work with me. Her work is exceptional as everyone including the therapy company who certified him were amazed he was only one years old and had such good manners. They were all impressed by his extensive training and polite demeanor. As a kindergarten teacher Rugie has entered my school and made my classroom and our school an even more amazing place to work. All the staff said when he is in the building it is buzzing with happiness because of this amazing dog. I give all the credit to Jenn and her training and dedication she gave him, myself and my family to help make him the best therapy dog he could be. Wonderful Labs lovingly raised by a caring breeder. Highland's Nothin' But Trouble @ Ark Angels is out of the Highland line, bred by champion Lab breeders Lillian and George Knobloch. I have been lucky enough to have several Highland dogs and they are as handsome as they are sweet tempered, not just even tempered but truly sweet. The Highland dog's line goes straight back to the legendary and still one of the top kennels in the UK, Sandylands. Although he was an elder statesman when I met him, founding sire Lord Locherbie was full of fun. Other Sandylands' dogs were bred with Highland dogs through the years. Highland has since closed due to the death of the owner, but I was delighted to find Highland's Nothin' But Trouble @ Ark Angels and to be able to have one of his sons! read more

I was looking for a dog that would be my companion.I am blind in one eye,and have health issues that made me look for a lab. I contacted the owner Jen, and she was the most helpful woman in helping me acquire the right dog for my needs. She went over and beyond helpful. She is training my dog for my specific needs,and I couldnt be happier. She is a kind woman who has a big heart,but unfortunately I noticed she gets taken advantage of by greedy people.People always seem to want more and more from her. She has such great animals!! Attempted to sell me a sick puppy with MRSA for $850, tip toed around the diagnosis until I explained I would need a vet health certificate to cross state lines. She then admitted the puppy was in treatment with steroids and antibiotics to treat a MRSA infection. After politely declining the sick puppy, we unfriended the breeder and found a puppy from a responsible breeder elsewhere. The breeder went off the deep end sending me harassing messages, name calling, and slandered me on her facebook wall - where she was found to be harassing and was removed from facebook. Upon more investigating I found she has numerous Better Business Bureau as well as Department of Consumer Affairs complaints and lawsuits (where she was found at fault). read more

I know that Jenn at Ark Angels Labradors is known as a Labrador breeder. However, she has a soft spot for Dachshunds. I have adopted 3 Dachshunds in last five years & I couldn't be happier. Jenn breeds her dogs for temperament and physical well being. Jenn screened and interviewed me to make sure that I would be a responsible and good dog owner. My girls love to visit Jenn and her Labs. We have boarded our dogs with Jenn with great results. My two young dogs have gone through training at Ark Angels that has really worked. When they hear Jenn's voice on the phone, they both sit at attention. Jenn really cares for the well-being of the dogs she is responsible. You could not ask for anything more. read more

We met the breeder (Ark Angels Labradors) through a mutual friend and quickly realized that we wanted our puppy from Ark Angels. The staff was very attentive and very opened about the breeding and pet quality agreement. We left the place of business without any doubt. Nevertheless, two weeks later, Jen called and gave us the best news, "your puppy is ready to go home." The negative comments on Yelp are mind-boggling to me. I cannot speak of other folks experience, but I will say that I've interacted with Ark Angels customers and they were satisfied. This breeder should be shut down for animal cruelty. PLEASE DO NOT GET A PUP FROM HER.. She sells very sickly dogs, she is all about money and not the well being of the animal! She is evil and needs to be stopped! People get these beautiful labs from her and they fall sick with chronic issues.. Die, and leave these families heart broken! This shouldn't even be legal! I understand that a sickly dog can be born, but when you know you're breeding sick dogs... You're just a sick person, and clearly she is! Please people.. Take my rant seriously .. I got a puppy from Jenn three years ago and then she trained my dog perfectly . I have recommended her to people for puppies and training . I saw this post Eleanor wrote that's crazy . Read her site it clearly states $350 / $450 for rescue dogs that were pulled from kill shelters . I brought a chocolate from her and she was 1800 and worth ever penny . This girl has not had a house for over a year and built her puppy room for over $35,000 dollars !!! Before a place fornher to sleep she always puts herself first !!! read more

Jen is an extremely knowledgeable breeder, who cares about each and every one of her puppies. She not only did basic training with our dog before allowing us to take him home but we also had him come back to be fully trained by her. She had us come to learn the commands and how to reinforce them once we got home with him. Jen breeds for temperament, not color and that really shows. Our dog is so docile and a perfect fit for our family. We will absolutely use Jen again in the future when we want to get another dog. read more
