So pretty much all plazas in the suburbs in Ottawa are owned either by SmartCentres or Riocan. This one in Orleans is owned by Smartcentres. This one is technically called SmartCentres Orleans I because there's a newer SmartCentres Orleans II (which is the one with Marshalls, Indigo and Ren's Pets and it's on Innes east of Mer Bleue). They are all big and sprawling and you have to traverse across the large parking lot to get to and from clusters of stores. If you've seen one, you've seen them all, lol.
This one has Walmart, Canadian Tire, Best Buy and Dollarama as their major stores. There's also a Carters Osh Kosh, Laurier Optical, Bouclair Home, PetSmart, Popeye's Supplement, Shoppers Drug Mart, EB Games, and Trade Secrets. There's a Scotiabank and a TD Bank too. There are a few hair salons and I think a dental clinic and other professional services. For food options you have Mucho Burrito, Boston Pizza and Wendy's.
It's big, it's sprawling, it's in the suburbs, you get the idea. read more
