Well lets just start off with context shall we…read more
We have been a customer for 8 years, paid in full every month, used their HR on demand services as needed a handful of times per year and a total annual cost of $4,500. Defiantly didn't use $4,500 worth of services annually, but that's they way it goes sometimes. Yes they know a lot about HR and will help you when you can get them on the phone and focused on your problem. For most of the last 6 years pretty much no complaints, however for the last 2 years the service has been awful. And, now that I have canceled my service, I know that awful service is a direct result of Lorraine Reafsnyder, the president and owner of the company. She is incredibly childish, and unprofessional. But hey, if you are the owner, I guess who cares right!
For the last 2 years its been a real chore to get anyone to focused on anything. I feel like they are overwhelmed with clients, and all the new CA based HR laws, and the ratio is completely off. We are the ones who have to call up or email and follow up with questions, like where is my revised handbook, only to get a lame answer. 2 months ago, we called their office for 2 days and no one answered the phone. We emailed Lorraine, and she told us they were too busy to answer the phone. That was strike 1 and 2 for me. She should have been all over it because we are a paying customer, and we had an HR problem that we needed help on. Lorraine was very dismissive, and didn't see a problem. Yesterday 4/22/19 was the final straw. I called their office follow up on an HR issue from Friday at 8:50am (Hr Advisors didn't call me). I asked for the rep who was helping me and was told that she was unavailable until 4:00pm. Ill admit I said that this is complete bull shit. I had already written most of the write up for them on Friday, and it was just needing a "polish" only to be told that I needed to wait longer. My time is valuable, and they clearly didn't see that, and they really didn't seem to care. The girl who answered the phone was kind, and said she would have the next available rep call me. Strike 3, that exactly my problem. Now I have to bring that rep up to speed, fill them in, waste more of my time because HR Advisors can't communicate amongst them selves, so when the client calls in they don't have to re explain all the issues. Heidi the senior rep calls, and was clearly annoyed with me, and admitted she didn't know much, and would have to call the unavailable rep to get caught up.
After this phone call I emailed and canceled my service. The president and owner Lorraine again was dismissive of my frustrations and ignored my complaint about working with 2 reps in unnecessary for the clients time, and that they're should be some interoffice communication between reps. Nope, According to Lorraine, its my fault for talking to the wrong rep on Friday, and I should have spoken to Heidi who's always in the office. Of course this make absolute sense!!! I should have known!!! Starting to see a pattern here from Lorraine???
I figured, good, its over, ill get my write up, and be done. I did get the write up about 3 hrs. later, and it was missing key facts, and I pointed this out, and yes I wasn't very nice because again, there is no communication in that office, and they lay it on the client (me) as if its my problem. Lorraine immediately responds to me and say you will just be happy with a new HR firm. Wow.... yes Lorraine, I will be. Thank you for the reassurance.
Now I had no plans to write this review until today when Lorraine chimed in with one last jab.
Their office manager emailed me and said that there was a required 30 day notice, and they are charging my card a prorated amount. OK fine, trying to remember what was signed 8 years ago I asked if they had a copy. Sure enough, yes, and there it is 30 day notice required. I say thank you, and leave it at that.
Not Lorraine, nope, she responds "ha!"
I will just leave it at that.
I'm happily done with HR Advisors. A company that is supposed to set the standard. This is theirs, and you can expect the owner to treat you this way.
2 Stars only because 6 years were good.
