Located on the first floor in Crystal Mall, I was on the hunt for some specialized snacks that I…read moreprobably can't find in T&T (well, maybe I can, but I didn't want to juggle between 2 places). This is one of the 2 snack stores I could find. They had lots of imported goods from Japan here, and of course pricier - but I guess comparable to other similar places. Selection is just OK. Bigger turnoff is the shopkeeper - I'm not sure if she's the owner or just a worker. I wasn't expecting much in terms of service, but you could tell she didn't give 2 sh*ts who was in her store. I checked a few things out, wandered around the mall, and came back a second time. Not once did she ever look up from her phone when other people came in. I don't expect her to be all chirpy and trying to sell me on things, but you can tell she didn't care. When I went to pay for my purchases, I put them on the counter, and said "hi". She was still tapping away at her phone while I was waiting. When she started ringing up my purchases, she didn't say a single word - when it came for me to pay, even though the screen showed the amount I was supposed to pay - she just stared blankly ahead and didn't say anything. I gave her my card, she wrapped up my bag. She didn't say a single thing to me (or anyone in the store) the whole time, I went on my way. Maybe I should say thanks for not saying GTFO of my store! I wouldn't come back here. Selection is bleak. They might have some cool things, but I'd rather support other stores if this is how she treats her customers.

Truffle Pig Chocolate is definitely a hidden gem. It is located inside Hagensborg Chocolates in…read moreBurnaby. They sell the chocolates in store or online. They source the cacao directly from Nicaragua farmers and pay them a premium above world market prices. Each single origin cacao is grown wildly on the farms without the use of fertilizers or pesticides. All their chocolates are 47% cacao or 70% cacao. Their chocolates are selling 20% lower than the retail prices. Thanks for having me @yelpvancouver I brought the cute edible piggies home . The Holiday House is a great Christmas gift for kids and adults for the holiday. I love the green front door can be open and closed and you can see the piggy chocolates through the window. So cute! It contains about 30 pieces of four different flavors (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, milk peanut butter, milk hazelnut). I love the truffle chocolates are soft enough and are melted in my mouth. If you don't like very sweet chocolate, truffle chocolate with 47% or 70% cacao would be the best choices. All chocolates are delicious. Taste: 5/5 I also bought their best selling assorted marshmallow. Wow.. Love the softness and sweetness of these marshmallows. I had the coconut, gingerbread, raspberry and vanilla. I personally like the following flavours: coconut , raspberry , vanilla , gingerbread. They also have the chocolate-coated marshmallows. It was smooth, creamy and not too sweet. I couldn't resist so I ended up buying a lot more chocolates for myself, and for gifts for the holiday season. This is the BEST chocolate place in Vancouver! SIDE NOTE: they sell their chocolate in Whole Foods, but sell it for significantly less at their location in Burnaby.
