If you like Asian snacks and candy, this is a good option in the mall. They have a relatively large selection to choose from. I was looking for candy and bought some lychee gummies. I was initially looking for watermelon flavoured candy and unfortunately the store did not carry any watermelon flavour anything.

****GREEN-TEA KIT KATS***** This place was probably one of the major highlights of my trip! They carry the elusive Green tea Kit Kat which I had been salivating over for days! In addition to this they carry a couple of other yummy green tea products. Unfortunetly they were not carrying the Oreo Waffers .... and being a speciality Asian Candy store they could probably consider carrying a bigger variety of Asian Candy. Also I bought $30 worth of Candy and when I asked the cashier if I could pay with $5 bill (Canadian) and the rest with the credit card he said I could ONLY pay cash OR card..not both. If there was a little bit more of a selection and if the cashier situation would have never happened this place would probably get a 4-5 star rating.

I felt like a kid in a candy store at this place! (Partly because it IS a candy store... but it definitely brought out my inner child, not that that's a hard thing to do. But I digress...) I was drawn in by the colourful and vast display of Japanese and Chinese candies (http://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/Yu-e4NTaImxeyKCF6f2IPQ?select=JN98DFOAhleKJIkEy9_B6Q). The fact that it's called "Candyland" was just icing on the cake. Located on the second floor of Aberdeen center (near the food court), the store is brightly lit and very neat - so even though it's packed with a lot of stuff it doesn't feel overwhelming. They have a lot of my childhood favourites I grew up with in Hong Kong (like candies, chocolates, gum, crackers, chips, and other snacks). I spent about a good 20 minutes just perusing all the different selections and ended up getting three types of Kit Kats from Japan (green tea, sakura green tea, and raspberry; http://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/Yu-e4NTaImxeyKCF6f2IPQ?select=e1UtbvKIZcaHzMMS6_Pv9w), baby crab "crackers" (http://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/Yu-e4NTaImxeyKCF6f2IPQ?select=3NjFRe6KmixlYzx92ccFsQ), and a Japanese chocolate-filed wafer fish (http://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/Yu-e4NTaImxeyKCF6f2IPQ?select=hkqgpychcf-mcx7yx8d6bg), which was like an Aero bar sandwiched by wafers. Yum!

CANDYLAND = AWESOMESS! Candyland is a great place to stock up on your asian snacks ranging from Japanese/ Chinese/Taiwanese & Hong Kong. The selection here is insane and you can always find your childhood favourites!! They have literally everything you can imagine, all the asian drinks, candy, gum, instant noodles, chips, pocky (over 10+ types), various chocolates (yes matcha everything here) and my favourite seaweed! It's definitely always a pleasant experience coming here! P.S. It's a great place to buy stocking stuffers :)

It's smooth, silky & buttery taste = ultra lush. The Swiss know how to churn out chocolate & have been right on point for centuries when it comes to all things - choccies. I got hooked on Lindt's original milk chocolate flavour & have since gone on to enjoy a whole variety of options. Strawberries & Cream, Hazelnut, Raspberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Pistachio, ... the list goes on & on. Located at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet - YVR Airport (minutes from the terminal), come here after you've got all your shopping done & treat yourself - you deserve it. Be careful, the pounds can climb onto the body quickly if you fail to control yourself - Lindt is very addictive. Caution - will hurt your wallet = pricey. Also make note - this chocolate melts quite easily, so don't put it near or against your body. Keep it in a cool to cold place always until ready to eat.

Most of the marketing and decor highlighted the holiday season and we could see a few different promotions going on. In addition to the pre-packaged bags and boxes along the walls, there were bins for bulk selection priced by weight. I loved that there was a wide variety of chocolates and flavors, some of which I have never seen or heard of - especially within the specialty items. We were here three days before Christmas, so the store was busy. There was friendly staff who answered questions and checked in with us throughout our time here. A great place to purchase some last-minute Christmas gifts!

And so many more. You can also get chips and sweets from overseas. I found lays chips from Thailand. If you have ever visited Thailand, you know they have the best variety around. I missed buying lots of chips to bring to the hotel room and snacked my way through the trip. But it is darn expensive here. A small pack is about $5! I could not bring myself to pay that, not when I used to get it for about a dollar there. But if traveling still remained shut, and I could not do my annual trip to Asia, then maybe I will plonk down the cash. For now it's a hard no. I bought other confectionary and it was so nice to be able to try the different flavors of Kit Kat and M&M. Good store to have in vancouver. Street parking is available.
