Parking: Side street parking. Right next to Taco Bell. Get a quick, clean, and cheap hair cut here. For 10 bucks, I got a fade with a trim at the top. I had the dad cut my hair. It wasn't really stylized but it was a clean symmetric cut. Definitely check this place out. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have been going here for over a year now and I have never been disappointed. Peter is the owner of this shop and although he is a man of few words, his skills speak for themselves! He has mastered the art of the "fade" and can easily accomplish what other 'high end' barbers do but for a fraction of the cost. Although his cuts only cost $10, I always make sure to tip at least $5 because of how efficient he is. I really do hope his business lasts for a long time and as long as it does, he will always have me as a customer! I definitely recommend checking out this shop if you're in the area and looking for a an affordable yet stylish haircut. Other notes: 1. I read about Peter in another Yelp review. He is the owner and he really is a man of few words that lets his work speak for him. So this is the kind of person I am. I had the same guy cutting my hair for 15 years. He moved locations twice and I followed him because I liked his work and the price. We didn't exchange conversations but he knew what I wanted and If I wanted anything different I knew I could simply ask. Sadly a year ago he retired and there was no one there to take the mantle. It was always a one person operation and once he stopped, so did the business. For a year I struggled to find the place for me. I live in the sgv so there's no end the asian places that can cut hair but it was hard to find somewhere that looked inviting. I used to pay $6 as well. I went from asian places, american places and everywhere in between and each was a one and done. People suggested places to me as well but those places were more because of the attractive woman that worked there. I finally found this place driving by on valley and decided wtf might as well. So far I've not been disappointed. It's a very simple layout which is what I like. You're not going to be sitting there talking about sports, politics, current news but simply to get your hair cut and than leave. There's two people that work here and both have different ways of going about their jobs but both do the jobs well as long as you communicate with them. I would not simply say something was fine and than complain later. If you want something shorter or different you can tell them, that's what they do. They are very anal people when it comes to their craft so they want to get it right the first time. I will say that I paid $8 and I've read the price has gone up. I think that is still worth it as long as they continue to cut my hair the same way. I think I will be there again soon since it feels a bit long in the back. read more

A fantastic haircut for $10. It was a Sunday afternoon, most of the barber shop around the area is closed. I saw this one is open with great reviews so I decided to drop by. At first I was questioning the quality of their barber due to the price. The barber I had was this younger Asian guy. I watched him giving a haircut to the previous person, and he was very detail oriented on the hair. He made sure every imperfection is fixed. So as posted before. I went back and had the older one fix my haircut. I left feeling much better but obviously still not a good hair cut. He did such a good job fixing my hair, I went back. Unfortunately he left my hair a bit long on top, I asked him to go a bit shorter( I would have had to come back in 3 weeks with what he gave me). That's we're thinks went from ok to worse. He took way way too much off, I was hoping like half a cm at most. Basically I look almost bald on top with longer hair on the sides( left it mostly unblended) . It'll hopefully blend in 2 weeks. I'll have an ok hair cut for about 2 week and then the sides will be to long so I'll have to go back... I believe smart cuts will always leave you feeling like a runner up and force you to come back every 3 to 4 weeks. Basically just right enough for you to be ok and wrong enough for you to come back early. It's a great business model read more
