These stores are clean, well organized, loaded with so many things without being over crowded and they seriously have the most friendliest and most helpful employees. This was the first time coming to this location in the 10 years we have lived this way, I even walked out with two rare plants. I purchased meat today that was packaged on October 18th and labeled as good until October 24th. Yet somehow, the meat was already gray, disgusting, and looked completely spoiled. And this was sitting on their shelves being sold to customers. I spoke with someone in the butcher department, and their explanation was basically that sometimes bad meat gets through because of "human error." I'm sorry, but that's not an acceptable excuse when you're selling food that people are going to take home and feed their families. What's even worse is that this has happened to me more than once. You really have to inspect their meat carefully because it might look fine sitting in the package, but once you get home and flip it over, you'll discover the entire underside is gray. I've even cut into meat from here only to find the center gray as well. And here's what really gets me: I shop at Sprouts, too, and I've NEVER had this problem with their meat. Not once. So clearly, it's possible to maintain better quality standards. I'm tired of wasting my time and money on meat that I can't even trust. Customers shouldn't have to play detective every time they buy a steak. If you're shopping here, I strongly recommend taking a VERY close look at their meat before purchasing it. Last night the checkout experience was soooo very horrific because I must of bought too much grocery for one clerk to bag. We had a very negative exchange and a manager came over to ask " if everything was okay ". The clerk lied and said that " I didn't give her the bags so she couldn't bag everything " ‍WHAT!!!!! To make a long story short, I returned EVERYTHING and that process took longer than the checkout. The poor manager couldn't process the refund. So the owner had to actually come in and do it for him. Which was a good thing because she had a chance to find out why her store just lost $265 which contributes to the clerk's paycheck but now she has to pay people to put all this stuff back on the shelves. If I owned a Grocery Outlet, I would never hire people like the woman worked checkout last night. The owner apologized repeatedly. She asked for me to remain a valued customer. I really appreciated that. I think it's sad that sometimes we entrust the wrong people to protect a business reputation and the people who work for you have the power to bring your business down or even cause a lawsuit. I have to also mention that there some really cool people that work there whom I've had a friendly rapport with. So, I've decided not to throw the baby out with the bath water. Hubby asked employee for more details about the different shopping options and the employee told him customers could shop the "normal way they" pay via self checkout or with a cashier or do the "dash cart" option. Hubby was told that the "dash cart" option was for Amazon Prime members who had their account connected to their bank account. After hubby confirmed his Amazon Prime bank account information, he was given a special cart which allowed him to scan our I'm while shopping for a completely contact-free experience As we walked down the aisles at Amazon Fresh Murrieta, I noticed that some of my favorite items cost substantially more there than elsewhere (e.g Veganaise is $9.99 at store I usually shop but was $11.57 at Amazon Fresh.) Hubby loved scanning his items while shopping and hearing the "ding" sound to signal that the scan was a success. When arriving at the salad bar and hot bar, I was pleasantly surprised to see allergen listed above the hot and salad bar food, I was disappointed by the small amount of vegan friendly bar options which consisted of ingredients to make a salad, vegetable stir fry, an Asian inspired chopped salad, and dolmas. I will admit that there was a bit of a learning curve when using the dash cart for salad bar items but luckily, an employee was nearby to walk us through the process. During our shopping trip, we learned that whenever you plan to purchase an item from the "salad bar," you have to select "add food or code," type in "salad bar," place your box in the back of the cart to have it automatically weighed, then place the box of food in your cart. Though this technology is cool, there we're times when the cart gave an error that we didn't put the item in the cart but this was easily fixed by pressing a button confirming all items weee in the cart. The ambience in the store was pleasant with several employees stocking the shelves, clear digital signage in the aisles, and wide aisles to accommodate several shoppers. My main pet peeve at Amazon Fresh Murrieta was that the store grouped vegan frozen food mixed with non vegan food. I personally would prefer to have vegan frozen food separate but understand that this might not be possible due to freezer space constraints. As hubby prepared to pay for our groceries, he was extremely pleased when he walked through the dash lane and exit, was checked out contact free, and the cart presented him with the choice of if he wanted his store receipt emailed to him. Overall, we both liked the shopping experience because it was interactive and thorough but disliked having to confirm that items purchased were actually in the cart. Likewise, we and would like to see more clearer signage in the hot bar/salad regarding discounts since we were told by an employee that food from there areas were reduced in price during 6pm-7pm but didn't see a discount on our store receipt.

They won't let me open the door for one second to get it due to "freezer issues" I go up front and customer service is closed (at 6p on a Friday?) so I ask checkout for a manager. "Mason" eventually shows up. Mason wouldn't listen to a thing I had to say. He just kept insisting that opening a small door to a 50 foot long freezer for a split second would spoil ALL the ice cream. Thats not how temperature works. I told him I'm a regular customer who drives an hour to get here just for your Winco in cream. He didn't care. I get that he can't open it for every customer while it's off. But they were just starting to barricade the whole freezer. Opening it for me for one second wouldn't hurt anything. But Mason doesn't take care of his customers. I don't think I'll be coming back. I can't drive an hour just to not get what I came for. Especially when the reason is this ridiculous.

If it's not lack of customer service, it's missing price labels on displays or mixed-up labels, or deceptive placement of price labels. Even late Friday morning, fried chicken will not be out for 1/2 hour (with a special advertised), Produce people running around with tons of boxes, empty shelves. Produce quality is declining. Didn't buy cucumber as only a few left and all soft. Bakery person hasn't put out sale rack, as she is only one in dept. And I was there the following Wednesday, and they changed their sale rack prices, so hardly a bargain. And new price is not near old so easy for cashier to miss it. Floral dept. Only one person working and trying to get out new shipment. She was helpful though. And the fresh salmon was squishy and smelly (old? or maybe previously frozen?)
