When you call, an AI system answers the phone, and if you need information beyond what it can provide, they return your call days later--at their convenience, not yours as the patient. My son was unable to make his appointment, and I called six weeks in advance to reschedule. The soonest available appointment was more than six months out. This practice seems to need fewer patients, more providers, and more working hours, as well as more flexibility in their scheduling for emergencies. If you are a family that never needs anything beyond a robot and never encounters real‑life issues, this office may work for you. If not, it probably will not. Overall, it was a bad experience.

Check your bills. They seem to have a shady billing practice. On the treatment case I have they…read moregave us. It shows a visit would be $782 total with us owing $274 after insurance. They ended up charging us $302.13. Ok, not too far off, maybe insurance paid a little less than they were told before. But then I got the statement from the insurance company. It shows they billed insurance $1,118 and insurance paid $935.47 (insurance paid more than what they said the total would be initially). Insurance statement says we owed $182.53 after insurance paid their part. Again, they charged us $302.13. So between insurance paying $935.47 and us paying $302.13 they got $1,237.60. So they got $455.60 more than what they told us the original total was going to be and $119.60 more than they even billed the insurance company.

As mentioned in previous review, Dr Spates works more like robot than a gentle pediatric dentist…read more I transferred my Child's teeth care to her due to relocation and was surprised to see how her office works. She walked in with no introduction and ready to work on a child with mouth open and help by her assistants. She did not even mention what is she going to do and was ready to use needles in my child's mouth. She does not read the patient files or see x ray , and worked on wrong tooth for which I am responsible to pay. I know in today's world every one is having hard time with business and wanting to earn most money, but these little lives under your instruments are someone's children and you have no right to play with their health. I am sure she is very skilled but she is not using her skills for best of her patients health and instead is focussed on numbers.

Although, I was expecting a different anesthesiologist and the one we had could not find a vein in her. It took about 10 sticks for them to finally find them. Thank God she had some pre sedation meds because it was horrible. When people can't drink water before surgery it makes them dehydrated, which makes it difficult to find veins. In that kind of situation you can't just go get another nurse to do it. So I kind of expect the one person there that's licensed to insert a needle to be exceptional at it especially when dealing with children. I hate to complain when someone is helping my child, but I hate to see a situation like that happen when it could have easily been avoided with some extra care and training in simple phlebotomy. The dr herself is very good and thorough. I have no complaints with her or her staff. She is a great dr and my daughter is no longer and afraid of the dentist as she was before.

I am extremely disappointed with the way this dental office treats families. They refused to see a…read moreminor child because of an outstanding balance that belonged to the child's mother, even though the parents are divorced. To make matters worse, the child's father went out of his way to pay the $90 balance to resolve the issue, yet the office still refused to provide care. Holding a child's dental care hostage over a former spouse's debt is unfair and unprofessional. A child should never be penalized because of disputes or financial issues between divorced parents, especially after the balance has already been paid. Compassion, professionalism, and putting patients first should be the standard in healthcare. Unfortunately, this office chose bureaucracy over a child's well-being. I hope they reconsider their policies so that children are not caught in the middle of adult financial matters. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this practice to other families.
