There's no standard as to who is hired to work as a checker, as Walmart corporate could care less, and wants to dissuade customers from using live people-staffed cashier lines in the first place. The male checker on our line--one of only two or three to be staffed--was so argumentative and hateful that I was concerned for our safety. He had trouble getting the UPC code on a nutrition beverage multipack to read on Walmart's register scanner, so he got an attitude as if it was somehow our fault. (The bar code was present on every individual container!). Then he began twisting the cap tops to move the containers to a different angle, which could easily cause them to open, ruining the product....so we asked him to stop using the cap tops to rotate the containers and just take the product off the order, even though we needed the item. But he initially refused, choosing to start an argument and be insulting, and say that if we didn't like the way he worked his register, "You can go to self-service!" On top of this, he refused to redeem a coupon for merchandise unless it was tied to a credit card, even though the coupon covered the purchase--which surely is not Walmart's policy. (Two managers had to come over and tell him there was no requirement to tie a coupon-covered item to any credit card!). I'm sorry I didn't immediately walk out! This Walmart is not a safe environment to shop in, particularly at night.

Went in this evening for a covid booster with my husband. Walked back to the pharmacy area and…read moreafter asking where the boosters are given we were told in a cranky tone "you need an appointment" by the snippy girl behind the counter when we told them of our arrival. When I replied that we do have an appointment she immediately snapped "no you don't. There was also a black girl behind the counter who said loud enough for us to hear "they can wait I don't have time for them". I saw no one in line and no busy anything to speak of. She then in the crankiest manner said "oh you're at the other rite aid" and waved us off. These two should not be working behind any counter where they deal with people and have to be polite. This used to be the nicest Rite Aid to frequent and we would go there just because of the super nice pharmacist. No more!! The better way to offer proper customer service to customers might be to say oh you registered at the other rite aid but we would be happy to see you since we aren't busy at all. As a local hospital employee, I iplan to share this experience with as many as possible so others can avoid this inappropriate unprofessional mess behind your pharmacy counter. We did end up going to the "other" Rite Aid and were met with smiling faces and friendliness! Thank you to them! All was not lost for us but should be for you. They never did. When I called, they said I would have to return it myself after waiting all day. I brought it back. They're open from 10 to 4 on Saturday. Only this time, they weren't. Maybe I should have called first but a sign on the door I took at face value. The pharmacy is 45 minutes away. It was the inconvenience of not getting the correct(non generic) drug in the first place that upset me.

Trying to be kind and generous I told her to get her little grocery list she came to checkout like she won a free shopping spree!!!! Before I knew it she racked up a grocery bill for $160!!! It was totally my stupidity for paying but it just happened so fast I paid! She was nice at first then after she was rude to the employees and myself! Lesson learned!! I'll call different days at different times, no answer. I'm always late for my medicine because my insurance doesn't let me pick up early and this CVS always takes a few days before I can finally pick up my medicine. The store itself is well stocked for what it has, and the cashiers are nice. The pharmacy just straight up sucks.
