This place is amazing and has a lot of things for kids to do! Jumping mat, put-put, huge chess, swimming and room to run around too. If you have a travel trailer the sites are a little bit close but works great and they are set up well.

We showed up at night and it was so dark when we rolled in. The moment you pull in there are rabbits EVERYWHERE. They should advertise that more because it is so unique! My only issue was that I was afraid we would accidentally hit one. Thankfully we got to the cabin without incident. We started bringing our bedding and necessities in to the cabin and noticed that one of the outlets was broken so we didn't want to use it just in case. The next morning we went into the office and let them know about the issue. They were surprised and really apologetic about it. Luckily there were other cabins available and we got moved into the one closest to the restrooms. So we switched locations and settled in. In the office you can purchase rabbit food so of course we did. As soon as these guys see that bag they will all hop there way straight for you. I had bunnies all over me. It was magical. I saved some of it for the rabbits hanging out with us at our campsite. That evening we had a wonderful little dinner by the fire with our bunny neighbors. We got a small refund that we didn't expect. I think because of the outlet issue. This is a great place to visit. We will be back.

They also have a big heated pool, mini golf, a camp store, you can rent golf carts, and they also had a fishing pond with loads of fish. You were only allowed 3 fish each person. They also have tons of rabbits running all over the campground. You can go tubing in the river which less than a foot deep it seems. Downside: The sites are small and there's really no room to park your truck. They do have pull through sites and tent sites. The site we were on the electric kept going out which shouldn't have happened. They said they wouldn't get anyone out to fix it until the next day which we were leaving the very next day. It was a somewhat muggy night that we had to spend without air conditioning on. We made it work! The restroom/shower house needs to get updated, it was very dirty and out dated. The only thing that was a challenge was how to get to the campsite the road was skinny and hard to see people coming the opposite way. A recommendation I would call this campground "Bunny Falls". It would attract more campers there. If we are ever in the area we might try this campground again but ask for a bigger site. I was able to take some pictures. We were at site 83.

It's still the same beautiful park, with nice hiking trails, a public beach ($), fishing, picnic tables, etc. However, today's visit was FAR short of being a relaxing day in nature. We arrived by boat around 9:15 am on a Saturday morning. *There is a lot of ongoing vegetation restoration so many areas near the water that previously had been available for park goers are currently blocked off. *Even by 9:15 am, all of the picnic tables were taken by what appeared to be large groups. Some of those groups were BLARING music -- that we could still hear from the lakeside hiking trails. The swimming area was also PACKED with people. *Also, while the park is usually kept very clean, there were areas where some trash had accumulated. (For instance, there were 3 extra large, empty plastic bottles in the covered structure by the pond near the boat docks). *Finally, there were many (20?) park goers using the area near the boat docks for non-boating activities, making it potentially dangerous as boats and jet skis were coming in and out. There were people swimming in this area, while at the same time some Jet Skiers were teaching beginners how to ride. There was also a man teaching his two toddlers how to fish while sitting on the edge of the docks. Another group was sitting on the edge throwing sticks to their dog that was in the water. We will, of course, return to this state park, but will more likely visit on a weekday.

It was a little more than we were looking to spend but the stop was convenient. We arrived after hours and our reservation information was available at the office. We were not provided with a receipt by email or paper, so I was a little disappointed by that. I always receive a receipt in some form when staying at a campground. Other than that, the grounds appeared to be well kept. The sites weren't too close together. Unfortunately I did have a hard time sleeping. In the middle of the night, people were grouped up and speaking very loudly directly behind our camper. I never had that happen before. Their conversation was very loud and kept waking me up. We left really early in the morning the next day so we weren't able to explore much more than that. It was a nice stop though.

Its location is perfectly situated for mountain biking and/or hiking on Lookout Mountain, the North River, and is easy driving distance from other legendary trails like Reddish Knob. Booking is straightforward and easy, although their cancellation policies could be a sticking point for people coming from a long distance on a strict time frame. The owners are responsive and communicative, and very friendly and accommodating when it comes to booking groups. The restroom/shower facilities are clean and perfectly adequate- don't expect the Ritz, but they're great if you need a shower after a hard day of riding or hiking (and you didn't visit the swimming hole for some reason that I won't even try to understand.) The cabins are also clean and cozy- they'd be perfect for a family of four who are used to camping and close quarters. The tent sites are basic, with fire pits, picnic tables at most sites, and plenty of space for a few tents and hammocks. The campground also stands out for its super fun mountain biking trails that actually run through the campground. Whether you're a seasoned rider or a young kid, you'll have fun on them. The swimming hole at the bottom of the hill is a true gem- there's nothing like going for a dip in its cool waters in the middle of the summer. I've been to Stokesville twice in the past month and am looking for the slightest pretext to go again soon.

Seriously? $150 a night for ants everywhere? I slept 2 hours that night. Had a family get together there, as my mom and stepdad had another cabin. 1 car per cabin - I get it, but we had more family coming in and the owner got ticked off and was extremely ignorant to our family because the family needed to drop off food and people that couldn't make the walk from the front store. There was 3 cars - They just wanted to drop off the food and people - not park in there. The owner wasn't happy - her husband yelled from the back of the store saying make them all get in the ******* same car - Really? 10+ people and kids plus food and more in 1 car? During the family get together - the owner comes by on her golf cart - Says were's the dog. Puzzled, we ask her what dog, since nobody in the family group had one there. She said someone said we had a dog here and she wanted to know where it was; each time she asked, she was nasty about it. One of the kids - 4 years old with autism - picks up a $0.10 dum-dum lollipop then puts it down. The kid and his mom and dad get to the counter at the store and she's being the **** she is and starts by saying, I saw him pick up the lollipop - where is it? Really lady? Dum-dums are free everywhere else and you're so worried about it that you grill the mom and 4 year old with autism? Does your life suck so bad that you have to ruin everyone else's day? I ended up leaving after the party because I couldn't put up with everything. Waste of money. If you enjoy dealing with ignorant and unruly people at overpriced campgrounds - then this is the place for you. FYI... If you have a pit bull, your dog isn't welcome here.
