Our LG fridge compressor went out for the 2nd time in 5 years so it was time to start looking for something new. We started our search at Slyman Bros and they won us over. They have a HUGE selection for starters. Plus, their knowledge of the appliances is head over heels over the top from the box stores. Lastly, they compare their prices to anything around (online or at the box stores) to get you the best price! Our delivery (cost depends on what you are getting but for the fridge was just $79 and includes haul away) is next week which I will update how that goes. But, Codey and crew were AMAZING, and we don't plan on going anywhere else in the future for appliances. Give them a try if you need something. Their delivery crew was top notch as well! A crew of 3 guys that made the install/haul away look easy! They were on time and kept me updated with a link that showed where they were along their route for the day. Avoid dealing with Brett, our salesman. He was friendly, but not knowledgeable or trustworthy. When purchasing a kitchen range we mentioned several times that we were switching from gas to electric. Brett informed us that there would be a $50 charge for this to happen and gave us his card to call him if there was a problem during the installation. The installers arrived with our range and stated they did not do that type of conversion. We called Brett, who stated that he would find someone to take care of this problem. When he called us back he said it was going to be more than the amount he quoted and provided us a name of a reputable electrician. After getting my Venmo information he agreed to pay half of the cost to compensate for his mistake. The amount of the switch was $200 plus $75 for materials. When I informed Brett he said he would deposit the money the next Friday; he did not. When I called two weeks later he said his wife was out of town and that it would be paid the next Monday; it was not. This salesman was convincing, but gave us the wrong information and failed to fix his mistake. read more

I'm so disappointed in the process I went through to get a new cooktop. Our cooktop was cracked so we called to order a new one. When it came in, it didn't fit. We had people come out to remeasure and called Slyman to order a cooktop to fit in the existing hole. When the cooktop arrived, it still didn't fit. We had to schedule another appointment for people to cut the granite and install the cooktop. This was a huge mess and about 3.5 hour process. When the cooktop and vent were installed, it appeared that the granite had been cut too much as there was a huge gap. I could see into the drawer below through the gap. They tried telling me this was normal even though the old cooktop/vent combo did not look like this. So then I had to order a $75 piece of trim and they said they would instal it for free. I called them instal a small piece of adhesive trim since it was supposed to be free. They charged $100 saying the instal was free but service was $100. I never imagined getting a new cooktop would be such a long, frustrating process. I will be sure to shop elsewhere for appliances in the future. read more

We are very happy with the process of getting a new fridge. Ours quit working Saturday, Mike, the salesman, was very helpful. He set us up for delivery on that Tuesday(offered Monday, but we couldn't do that). Nate one of the delivery men was very nice. They were very careful getting the old fridge out and bringing in the new. We have very narrow halls but they handled everything with care. We will definitely buy from them for anything we need in the future. Price was good. read more

Knowledgeable salesman who have been with the company for awhile. They don't carry the appliances that aren't reliable. But if you have troubles, give them a call and they will take care of it instead of referring you to some third party company to service it. I'm a repeat customer. This was the worst experience we've ever had with buying an appliance. We were told that the appliance would arrive in about two weeks instead it took 2 months, which we would have understood if someone would have called to update us. We called and talked to both the salesperson and store manager neither were helpful or understanding of our situation once they had the money for the appliance. After waiting for two months when the appliance was delivered the Slyman delivery people used a damaged mover that caused a significant patch of paint to be scratched off. Called Slyman again and the sales person said he would investigate and get right back to us...we are still waiting for his call after two weeks. Instead someone from Slymans called to say they had ordered paint for us to fix the damaged area ourselves. It appears to us that once Slyman Appliances had our money, they didn't seem to care. We were hoping to support a local business, very disappointed in our experience with Slyman Bros Appliance. read more

This review is long overdue. In short, skip the big box stores and go directly to Slyman Bros for your appliance needs. They will either match or beat most of the "sale" prices at the big box stores and most importantly will actually have the appliances in stock. In the middle of a kitchen remodel in December of 2017 we ordered all new appliances from a big box store during a Black Friday promotion. The gas range cooktop we had ordered was critical to the remodel as a template needed to be cut for our granite countertop install. After waiting weeks for the cooktop to be delivered we were told it would be delayed for months. Being faced with potentially having to reschedule our countertop install we visited the Slyman Bros store during their soft opening and we found a cooktop we liked even more than the original one we had purchased. The only issue was it was going to take a week to arrive and we needed the cooktop within days. The manager of the Slyman Bros store offered to give us the display cooktop and told us to come by the next morning and it would be boxed up and ready, which it was. This allowed us to move forward with our countertop install without delay. Then when our new cooktop arrived, the owner of the location delivered the new cooktop himself so that we wouldn't have to come into the store. This was above and beyond. We had such a positive experience that we canceled the microwave the big box store said was delayed for months and purchased a more equipped model from Slyman Bros for the same price. I wish we had just purchased all of our appliances from Slyman Bros to begin with and avoided the aggravation. I cannot recommend this Slyman Bros location enough. They were fantastic to work with and epitomized customer service. I hope this helps someone. read more
