The eateries range from Thai, Italian, Caribbean, deserts, meat, veggie. The vibe is always relaxed and they do a variety of different events. The environment is always clean and there are never (I've never seen one) any drunks knocking about the place. You can work from there in an afternoon and work into the early evening meet colleagues and have something to eat and drink and reminisce. The other great thing is it's right next to East Croydon train station easy access to teams and taxi ranks, what more could you need!!

(You can walk in just seconds after tapping out at a ticket barrier.) I don't think Croydon will become the Shoreditch of zone 5 anytime soon, but it seems like Boxpark will definitely spice up the local food scene. If you're a fan of food trucks, you'll love the concept here. But instead of kitchens on wheels, imagine actual storefronts serving up street food. The hardest part of your meal will be deciding what to eat because more than 30 eateries call Boxpark home. (Some restaurants also have street entrances.) Boxpark is made up of repurposed shipping containers -- this gives it a cool industrial vibe, but it isn't an obnoxious hipster atmosphere that would alienate anyone. But if you're eating in, note that it can get a little loud. I'd recommend the chicken schwarma wrap with lightly spiced fries from Lazeez (this meal was the only thing I could stomach during my jet lag-induced nausea) and the fried chicken bao from Bao Bao. However, expect food truck prices (read: high prices that don't justify the amount of food you get) but that might just be something that comes with the territory in London.

Parking was ok on Sunday evening, but I would imagine it to prove quite difficult on weekdays/Saturdays. The menu (from the window) seemed quite nice, quite a large selection of authentic Japanese and Korean cuisines, both cold and hot dishes. So in we went. First thing you will notice is the 3 large, curtained cubicles on the left for private tables of 4+ people, then you have the main area which is a good size and relatively spacious. The deco seemed a little plain with barely anything on the walls, quite a few of the lights had blown and not replaced which seemed to make the place slighty dreary and uncared for. I also thought the private rooms ought to of been put at the back of the restaurant rather than the front as there was a group of noisy, and evidentally drunk, Korean chaps singing at the top of their voices in the box. Service-wise was excellent on first impressions. We were greeted and seated with minimum fuss and maximum smiles and speed. We ordered the mixed Tempura (prawns, various vegs) and Yuk Hwei (raw beef sliced, sliced pear, raw yolk!), Kimchi for starters. The tempura was amazing, in fact I could even say one of the best I've ever had. Very light, fluffy and fried to the perfect crustiness outside and softness inside. The Yukhwei was quite good as well (my gf tried some for the first time as well and thought it was ok :p) however not as good as HanKang of TCR. The Kimchi seemed a bit of a let down. Considering Kimchi is probably the cheapest and easiest to make, the portion size was pitiful. For main course we had Ox tongue and Bulgogi (beef strips marinated) for barbecue and 2 bowls of rice. All was excellent and perfectly cooked by yours truely:P If you're scared of cooking on your own, the waitress will happily cook it for you by your table. Warm sake and green tea for beverages. Both excellent, however the sake needed to be reminded as I think the waitress left it on the bar and forgot. Other comments would be the cutlery didn't match at all which was quite strange and they have very cute little cat Soy sauce pots. :p

These premises has been an Italian restaurant as long as I can remember. It used to be Pizza Piazza but ever since Greg Proops, the Canadian comedian called it Pizza Disaster when he was performing at Epsom Playhouse, I always had it in my mind as Pizza Disaster! I'm not sure if Greg Proops' off the cuff comment may have contributed to the demise of Pizza Piazza but Sicily has taken over and lent an upper class air to this end of Epsom's own restaurant row. The food is classical Italian. I didn't spot anything particularly Sicilian but there is a wide range of pasta, pizzas and cooked meats and seafood. As I was going salsa dancing afterwards, I didn't want anything too heavy. Hilary, my salsa dance friend and I split one of their sharing antipasto plates, which had butterfly king prawns, deep fried squid rings, smoked salmon on toasted ciabatta topped with mascarpone, prawn cocktail, breaded crab claws served with spicy tomato dip and tartare sauce I then had a spaghetti carbonara, which was nice except for the price (£8.95). Hilary was happy with her seafood risotto, which was generous with the seafood. The service was excellent - efficient and very friendly. Sicily is now probably the best Italian restaurant in Epsom. It is pricey and will therefore sadly remain a special occasion type of place but you do get your money's worth.

I'm very surprised that I'm the first to review this place on Yelp. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent and by far one of the best Indian meals I've ever eaten. The dish was perfect, a perfect blend of tastes, spices and tastes incredible. I want to say it was called Lamb Sagotti but I might be wrong. They have a medium sized menu but it's full of the most delicious looking food. I have never been to Korea but the Palace really does feel like a really authentic Korean restaurant. We ordered the Squid and Pork * (I forget what it was called, sorry, not a good review technique I know!!), which is a hot plate/pot for 2-3 people. They bring a grill to your table on which they place this huge dish of uncooked Squid and thinly sliced pork with 3 types of mushrooms including the yummy Enoki's, and it's all in a lovely chilli sauce. They also have a new on table bbq set up which wasn't there the last time I went and I think they are just growing the bbq menu. The staff are lovely and so sweet and helpful. You get 5 free salad/starter dishes and it's cheap as chips. Our hot pot (which was too big to finish), 1 rice and 2 beers came to £26.50. The only downfall is the ambience, it's more like a cafe that a restaurant so do not come here if you are planning to propose.

The interior is just like the demeanor of the staff: warm, likeable, and feels like home. In fact, it was incredibly difficult to determine where we wanted to dine, because of the sheer cuteness found in the decor and ambiance of The Grumpy Mole. It was just too damn nice outside to take a beautiful, sunny day in England for granted. So, we opted to sit on their patio and enjoy a near perfect day. Knowing how delicious the curry is in the UK, I opted for that choice and my high expectations were met. The chicken was tender and well prepared. The curry flavor was abound but not overpowering, while the naan and rice were soft, not stale. But the real highlight of the experience was the charcuterie plate packed with meats, cheeses, olives, and more. If only I had the fortune to return to England more often, then I would visit The Grumpy Mole on every visit. For now, I will dream of that day and hope it is on a cold, winters night, where the interior of the Grumpy Mole is cozy and warmed by a crackling fire place, of which I am sitting by while sipping on a piping mug of cider.
